I just had a 10am appointment on April 22. Only one of my tires appeared to have a slow leak since PSI would decrease by 6-7 every 2-3 weeks. All other tires are normal. I asked AI some basic questions to not get taken advantaged of. A bald guy with a goatee "helped" me. I asked if he could check for a puncture or valve issue as well as remove wheel protectors. Immediately, he said it's a Tesla so it needs a tire replacement without even checking. No soap test or seeing where puncture was or checking tread depth. Just visually observed and said it was worn out. Did not diagnose where puncture was. Tread is quick fix while sidewall is when tire needs replacement. I replied my tires only had 38,000 miles which is midlife. According to AI, it is a "shop choosing convenience and profit over proper diagnosis". Beware. read more

No one likes to wake up to a completely flat tire and then finding a huge nail embedded on the tire itself. Luckily Bruce's Tire & Auto was very close by and after looking at the good reviews, I decided to bring the car in to see if I could get it repaired or assess if I need a new tire. [[ Location ]] I'm not sure if it would be easy to find if you weren't exactly looking for it but if you are, it's pretty easy to find. The inside is very clean and has a space for you to sit down and wait for any service you need. It has about 3-4 chairs and a work bench in case you are working on your laptop and need a place to put that down. [[ Service ]] Everyone was really nice including the two front desk people and the person who worked on my car. They determined that my nail was repairable/patch-able and I was very grateful. No upsell or anything and got me out of the door in 30 minutes for $45 to repair the flat. Couldn't have asked for better. P.S. I think if they got newer signs, it would make the outside look more appealing because it's truly a great shop. read more

Since i was on my lunch i asked if i could come back and call me. 4 hours later i got a call that it was done. Headed over and was told that i would have to wait an hour for them to put my 1 tire on, and all they said was that they were a bit busy. However the parking lot was not really full. I told the guy to give me my tire and i would do it myself. It took me 10 minutes with the tools from my trunk to replace my tire. Car had a flat on the way to work, and these guys were the closest. Saw good reviews and went in and wasn't disappointed. Turned out that my tires were old and were anyways close to replacing. They had the tires in stock and got me out in under an hour when I requested I needed to be at work for a meeting. Very good courteous service at front desk. Several weeks ago I walked into Bruce's automotive repair fremont after having my truck a 2016 eco diesel worked on by stress free auto, stress free had attempted to change glow plugs and broken 2 off in the head tried drilling one out it mushroomed at bottom of head . They informed me they were unable to fix it and it was my problem now ?? What. I immediately went to Bruce's and spoke to Raul who was extremely understanding and professional. I didn't know what to do but I had a broken truck and no transportation. He was patient he informed me I could do 3 things 1 replace the heads and gave me a quote , I could put a used engine which I wasn't sure about or get a brand new engine he gave me quotes for all 3 after speaking with my son we decided on the brand new diesel engine. Because my truck had 207 k miles.during the entire process I feel Bruce's automotive was the most professional, always kept me informed of progress sent pictures . Be aware that this garage primarily serves commercial truckers. Overall services quality is inconsistent. But one thing for sure, this place is slow. Just hold your breath, you will need 2.5 hours for oil/filter changes despite that you got 7:30AM appointment. And the staff turnover rate is also pretty high. Had my car there yesterday for steering wheel leveling. The truck was aligned by Carlos a month ago and was very happy with the work. I've asked if Carlos is available can do the work they said he was day off. Today when I pick up the car the alignment was off and when I called they said they want to charge me again for alignment. I asked if Carlos is available they said he is no longer working there. ‍ They said they did not touch the alignment but the invoice shows they didn't a full alignment. Even when they called said the car was ready I asked how they fixed they said they didn't a new alignment and had to charge me $199 which is fine but the car now pulls to right and they want to charge me again for alignment. I would definitely no recommend this location. Only if Carlos is the one working in the truck as I had great work done by him. read more

I had a slow leak and they took in the car immediately. I had to wait about 2.5 hours, but they did get it done in the end. I understand that it was a busy day, but they recommended a nice coffee place nearby where I could hang out, so it wasn't too bad. When you're caught dead in the middle of your trip with leaks, you really don't have much options. They took a minimal amount for taking out the nails and fixing the leaks, albeit I know places that do it for free. But they fixed two leaks for the same price, and honestly I don't mind shelling out some money to get the job done properly. Front desk was friendly, courteous and helpful. read more

I want to share my terrible experience with Bruce's Tire & Auto Service in Fremont, California. I took my 2006 Chevy Express 3500 RV there a few months ago for a Check Engine Light . It was showing codes P01741 and P0174 (fuel trim system lean Bank 1 and Bank 2). They kept my RV for over two weeks and finally told me they couldn't find the problem and that further troubleshooting could cost me around $3,500 just in labor. I informed them that my research suggested these codes typically indicate a hose leak (broken hose or connector). I repeatedly asked if their mechanic used a smoke leak detector, and they assured me they had. Frustrated, I took my RV home, opened the engine cover, and inspected the hoses myself. I discovered that one hose had melted against the intake manifold, and the fix was a simple $20 hose replacement. I am extremely disappointed with their service and will NOT recommend this shop for "check engine light" problems or troubleshooting. They might be good at replacing tires or metal parts, but I do not believe they have competent mechanics. read more

They are associated with other auto businesses so they are able to get any unique part or tires. I have "run flats" they needed replacing. Bruce's Tire has the whole package, they have great people, an awesome facility, and do really work. This visit I was having a problem with what appeared to be a loss of tire pressure on one tire, they checked it out thoroughly with water testing and confirmed the tire was fine. They also checked out the TPMS sensors and confirmed they were all good. The cost of this service was free...they didn't fix anything but the still expensed labor...to me that's excellent service and keeps me coming back whenever I need anything tire related, but they do offer many other services as well. This shop is a bit off the beaten path for an oil change but I had a Costco coupon and booked an appointment. I drove my subaru crosstrek in and committed to a 2 hour wait because the service included tire rotation and other courtesy checks. There was a shopping plaza within walking distance with a cafe, a great burger place (tested) and an anchor Walmart and I think a DollarTree, so the wait was quite bearable. Great customer service. Standing ovation for this team of professionals! We had a complicated issue with a BOAT TRAILER wheel that left us broken down on the side of a busy highway - very scary and stressful. After calling about every auto repair shop in the area and getting rejections, we finally got a referral for Bruce's shop who had the ability to service us immediately. The boat and trailer were towed over and the team promptly diagnosed the issue. After getting the special parts, it only took the team an hour or so to repair. This meant repairing the lopsided trailer with the boat still on it! Not an easy feat. Eddie and his team were so easy and relaxed to work with and got us back on the road the same day. I brought my car for service at Bruce's to start when I first walked in there was no greeting and I was ignored for 5 minutes until I asked one of the employees for help . I arrived at 10 am it's 1:13 pm there's no cars in the shop and all employees are missing when I asked the gentleman I. the front desk he seemed irritated that I asked him how much longer until my car get serviced . He looked at me and stated when his worker came back from lunch. This being said to me while employees where in the back talking and laughing we have a fleet account with this company and i will do my best to terminate any contract with Bruces Tire this place has changed from the excellent service it used to provide really bad experience never will I come back and strongfly suggest nobody comes to waste there day with this horrible service . 1:30 and still have not been serviced. read more

They replaced a new tire immediately and said the other tire is also in a bad condition, but they didn't try to push me to get a new one for both tires. They said it's completely up to me :-)) 2 months later, I visited this shop voluntarily to change the other tire as well. Competitive prices, knowledgeable, honest staff and great communication. I had new tires installed yesterday and got regular updates from the store's automated text messaging system, as well as texts from Rob when there was a delay and my car was going to take a bit longer than expected. I asked them to replace my TPM sensors since they were intermittently generating errors. While some places might have replaced them because I requested it, my service advisor let me know that the sensors tested fine and it was probably some other sensor thingie (yeah I am not mechanical) that had to be replaced by the dealer. I made an appointment with them. Explicitly talked about the fact that it will be in and out with an appointment and my flat tire can be repaired while I am there. When I drive in at 3pm on a friday(after taking off early from work), I am told that I will need to drop off the car and come back later. The worst part of it is that they give me a spiel on how an appointment does not mean anything. Be honest and accept you made a mistake which would have saved you this 1 star review. read more

I drive by this place every workday. Have never stopped in. So today I arrive at work and an hour or so later a coworker informs me I have a low tire. Well that's not good... Dismounted the tire, found a nice shiny finishing nail stuck in the tread. Pulled it out and heard the sound you don't ever want to hear from a tire. Hiss..... I took it to Bruce's to patch it. My mini cooper got a flat tire due to a wayward nail ripping through it. I was able to get the tire replaced the next day by Bruce's. I called them up first to see if they could do it and they said they could in 45 minutes. I drove down and true to form they completed the job in 45 minutes. All the employees were really friendly that I encounter and they had a little waiting area for me to chill in. Best experience I could ask for after a flat tire. Not good. I went there to replace tires. They only had expensive tires. I requested them to order less expensive tires, and was told to come back next day. Brought car next day, waited for 1.5 hours, and was told wrong tires ordered. They re-offered the replacement of expensive tire with discount + free oil change (still more expensive than the cheaper tires option). Or, went back again (3rd trip to the shop) for cheap tries. I waited for 30 mins to have my old tires put back and left the shop, wasting the entire morning. Lesson learned - Walk away at the 1st visit when they only had expensive tires.
