Been sitting on the inspection/checkup for a while because I could not figure out my schedule and the quotes - there's a few hundred dollars difference among all the places that gave me a quote, and some wouldn't even give me a quote before I bring the car in for an initial inspection - I really couldn't commit more than 1 day for the repair. And to be honest, I never liked showing up to a greasy shop for service where they quote you based on gender - know what I'm saying? Service Up was AWESOME. The quote was transparent, booking was super easy on the app, and the pickup/drop off at the location of my choosing was just a dream. The concept is great... they pick your car up and drop it off once complete. Here's the thing, you are only communicating with "someone" through text only. They really don't update you very much on the status of your cars repairs. After a week I wanted to get an update on my car, the rep that had been texting me was not responding to my texts. I went on the website to look for a customer service number. NO NUMBER!!! Another week passed and they finally gave me an eta on completion. 2 days prior to my eta date I text for an update. No response. I send a text the following day no text. If it wasn't for another yelp review I wouldn't have been able to literally speak to someone about my car. We are now officially at the end of the day and they tell me that my car still needs some work. I had planned on visiting my family out of town and had to cancel due to this inconvenience. I have spent 600+ for a rental for two weeks and it will actually cost me another 300 for the weekend due to the holiday. I actually want to cry this has been the worst experience ever. read more

I had my reservations about this service but wow did they exceed my reservations. My car had been out of commission for over a year and just sitting in the drive way. I was moving out so it was time to get her running again. Jessie helped get me started then Evan (absolute homie) took over very communicative throughout the process. They coordinated the tow truck to pick my car up worked on it for the weekend, They asked for my approval before working on anything and dropped the car back off to my door driving like a champ. After rescuing a kitten off the side of 880, the little rascal crawled up and hid itself in my dashboard. I had no idea what to do, and worried that the little one would overheat in the car before deciding to come out. One call and about 20 minutes later my car was off to the shop. They handled a strange call like mine fast, efficient and professionally. They ended up having to take a part whole dash to get the little one out safely. Using Yelp to request quotes to recharge my car's A/C refrigerant, I was contacted by ServiceUp. Their initial quote was rather high, but they convinced me to go with them as they match written estimates. Someone arrived in the 1 hour window I agreed to, took pics of the car, and drove off with the car. I didn't know his name, see any identification other than him wearing a backpack with the company's logo, or have any form of conversation with him. Minutes after he left, I panicked, thinking I may never see the car again. I texted the service reps to make sure I was going to get the car back the same day and was later told that the mechanic would get to it the next day. It was surprising to me that they would keep my vehicle overnight for a 1 hour job. I contacted the service reps again to make sure I would get it back by 10 a.m., and they said that I would. Fast forward to the next day, I received text updates that the vehicle is being worked on, and when they were finished I was sent a link to pay and set up my drop-off time window and address. The time frame they offered was too late, so I contacted the service reps again. They had a driver there, and he brought the car just a few minutes late. PROS: The A/C is blowing cold air again, I got a good price, and I didn't have to take the vehicle myself to the mechanic. CONS: Lack of communication from the company aside from when they are asked direct questions. I didn't know where my car was, who took it, when it will be worked on, when I would get it back, what information the mechanic would have wanted to provide, or if the estimate would be different from the final cost. You have to communicate with the middle men/women to find out anything. You never speak with the mechanic directly to hear their professional opinion. You also have to pay for the service with the link they provide BEFORE you even get the car back, so there is no way to check to make sure it is fixed prior to paying. Would I Use Them Again? With the price match and certain simpler mechanic jobs, the convenience of someone taking the car to and from the shop is worth it. read more

Alex at ServiceUp is very kind. Customers, put effort into knowing which mechanic your car goes to. If I knew which mechanic, I would've spoken directly with them. Car left at 2pm on Friday and I had 0 knowledge about it on Friday. That's somewhat normal. It's late to get the car, and shops are busy. I had to call Saturday to find out what's going on with my car. That's why I should've asked for mechanic on Friday because I would've called and talked to them directly. ServiceUp was extremely kind with the delay and gave me 50% off. My car came back with check engine light on. I don't want to blame ServiceUp or mechanic, but that wasn't on when it left. That light is gone after filling up coolant reservoir again. I wish adding coolant had been done at the shop because car went in bc coolant reservoir went from full to almost empty when it left my house. read more
