Got there and got on the list. They said there were several large parties ahead of us but it would be 20-25 minutes. Even though there were single tables available they seated the large parties first and it took about a half hour to get seated. Seems like they could have seated my party of 2 and still would have been able to seat the large parties. Regardless, we ordered i had the biscuits and gravy and it was pretty good, the gravy is far better than biscuits which were flat and flavorless without the gravy. The gravy is a little spicy so be aware. The wife had cinnamon roll French toast which was served with white icing and caramel sauce. The biggest problem with the meal was the food was not hot when delivered. It was sitting up there waiting, getting cold. We were in a hurry so we didn't have time to ask them to remake it. First time eating here. The young lady working the dining room was outstanding! She handles that entire breakfast, Rush by herself. The food was also impeccable. The cheese omelette was perfect! So many small things have changed just to save a few cents. Some of the help has changed as well. Some good, some not so much. The kitchen help absolutely can NOT read. Surprisingly good. I had the "casper omelette" which is just a Denver omelette but it identifies as casper. This was so good. Probably the best Denver omelette i've ever had. This place is awesome. For a bit of a hole in the wall you can tell this is a locals favorite, and luckily it is right down the road from where my mom lives so it was perfect. We came in on a Sunday morning so the place was definitely packed, and we had to wait about 20 minutes or so but there was five us which meant we needed a larger table. Our server was great took care of us right away. Kids had the biscuits & gravy, husband went with the smothered breakfast burrito (green chili), and I went with the green chili skillet. The Good: If you find yourself in Mills, Wyoming, this is a local favorite for Wyo diner food. Pretty classic breakfast & lunch menu, nothing brunchy or fancy. Lots of regulars & families, first-come-first-serve seating at the bar. The Bad: Super old school (it is in Wyoming after all) with "smoking" & "non-smoking" sections. They don't have fruit - a waitress literally told us that. Nothing fancy - cheap coffee, apple & orange juice from those old dispensers (fresh-squeezed? ha!), no herbal tea (just hot black tea or iced tea), definitely no chai, lattes or mimosas and you would probably get laughed at if you asked. The Food: It says on the menu, and on a sign in the diner, "Eat what ya get and don't throw a fit! LOL" It's really not bad. Just old-school Wyo diner style. Not high quality ingredients but reasonable care is taken to put out decent food that is hot, cooked correctly & looks decent. The Service: Pretty fast & they're great about refilling coffee.
