It's a must have Pork chop - decent sized. But way overcooked. I asked for medium and it came out well. If they are afraid to cook it correctly then they shouldn't give the option. Very friendly staff but we came during closing time and they were very focused on getting the place ready for the next day. Ordered drinks right when we sat at the table and they came back several minutes later to tell us that they were out of one of the ingredients. Placed our food order while we reordered new drinks and had to wait awhile. Our salads made it out before the drinks. We ordered the Chop House Burger with blue cheese crumbles and fries. Menu indicated that it came with a side of rodeo sauce and had to request it when it wasn't on the plate. I love blue cheese but this had a little too much and made the burger too salty. It was cooked perfectly but would have better with a different cheese or less blue. We also ordered the Famous Filet (6 oz). It was delivered to the table sizzling on a hot plate so I know it just came out of the oven. The waiter asked me to cut into the steak to make sure it was cooked to my liking before they walked away. I would have preferred to wait a couple minutes on the table to let it cook a little more. The service is always good. And the ambiance is pretty nice but if you sit at the bar there is always a draft. The steaks are pretty good but when they are seared which they all are they can over cook super fast so I always get a plate to pull it off so it does not get dried out. The sides are great my favorite is the carrot soufflé they are creamy and sweet, the mashed potatoes are excellent as well. Creamed spinach is also a yummy choice it's homemade and perfect for a side to a steak. I enjoyed the squash casserole but I have had better. The Sunday brunch with the mimosas are really a nice treat. The eggs are well made. I have never had the desserts but they all look really good. My husband said the chicken fried steak is not bad it can have a bit of grizzle but it is easy enough to cut out. Too bad the kitchen does not do it. Give it a try for something different. read more

This is a gorgeous restaurant. They made wonderful ribs, mashed potatoes, salad, and had cold and delicious beer! Best of all, the service was completely five star. We felt like we were treated like family! We can't wait to go back and try more of the wonderful menu! This place has really gone downhill! There are plenty of options in Casper. Save your money and go somewhere else. Came at 1:30 in the afternoon. There were only 2 other tables. The floors are almost as dirty as the menus. Very disappointing for a restaurant that averages $50+/person. Service was not good. Seemed undertrained. read more

Didn't realize about the brunch option; altho could order off the regular menu - had to ask for that menu & only 1 on our party got it. Asked for a high chair 3 times. I ordered something called a Tex-Mex skillet - breakfast potatoes, sausage, cheese (some other items I cant recall), sour cream & 2 eggs. Looking forward to this yumminess! When my order came, I got a sausage patty & something that looked like a potato pancake. That's not a 'skillet' to me. I mentioned this to the waitress - she basically told me that what is offered on the menu isnt exactly what they cook. No kidding!! Ambiance was great. Loved the wall photos. Waitress was excellent. Helped with recommendations and was attentive. It was happy hour with half price appetizers. She recommended the fried green tomatoes and they were fantastic! Our filet entree was cooked perfectly and was probably the second best I've ever had! Beer selection was also great and we enjoyed a nice brown ale with our dinner. Great atmosphere, great food, great service, and reasonably priced. What more could you want. read more

I am not rating low as deserved as I know it is very hard on restaurants. However, the Service was horrific. For 270 some dollars for four people, to have our dirty plates sit in front of us for 40 minutes while we were chatting after dinner is completely unacceptable. Since we moved we have probably been here a dozen times it was our favorite dining spot, it's beautiful, the menu had some creative items and they have my favorite beer here but the last 2 times the experience has been really poor, from waiting 30 min for a beer in a restaurant with 5 people (i ended going up to the bartender myself) to getting a chewy ribeye the list goes on, and the service has been so bad that we now agreed that we are done. Three words that you should pay close attention to... CHICKEN FRIED STEAK. If you are a CFS fan.. it is a absolute MUST. To die for! Steak Caesar salad, with extra grilled onions, and xtra dressing on the side. Nailed it. Steak was perfection. Soft and perfect medium rare, as requested. Red Zin wine was great, noise level was perfect, good atmosphere and comfortable tables. Staff was attentive & really nice! We even got to meet our waitresses baby. I sat on this review for a day because I was so conflicted. But here goes: the made-from-scratch tomato soup and the dirty Martini were to die for. Best dirty Martini of 2020 platinum award. But then the 16 oz rib eye slapped me in the face. It was all things it shouldn't be. Overcooked for medium, gray color, tough, dry, and tasteless. This was bottom of the barrel quality. Shoe sole on a plate. Possibly frozen more than once. And that is what dings this down because it's the main feature of the meal. Had lunch at Rib and Chop in Casper, WYOMING on 6/12/2024. They were out of Chardonnay, which is what we ordered. Really? Who is the manager? Lunch was meh!!! Ordered a French dip. Very barbecue tasting Yuck! Very salty au jus! Shrimp tacos were ok. Pica de Gallo was watery and not good. Rib and Chop in St George, Utah is 1,000 times better, as is Gillette Wyoming's restaurant. We came to this place at a 6 with a party of 12. The place was not busy at all; it's now 8:16, some of us just barely got food, the majority of our orders were partially or COMPLETELY incorrect, or missing portions that were advertised. The food was good, but ONLY 3/12 orders actually came out correct initially. The waiter was under a LOT of stress due to these error coming from the kitchen. He did a great job at trying to handle the situation, but overall it was like all the cooks in the kitchen were out of control and were unable to follow the orders they were given. read more

I've had great experiences here in the past. Tonight was not their night. Started with a cup of gumbo. The bowl they use makes it look like about 2 oz of soup. I also wouldn't call it gumbo, I'd call it watery rice soup. It came out Luke warm. I almost never send anything back, but I asked them if they could warm that one up or bring me a new one. The second one came out & it was also luke warm. I just asked them to take it off the bill. Bartender very sweet & gave me about 5 refills. Steak was awesome, cooked perfect. Love the hot plate. Mushrooms & broccolini also very good. I've been to Sheridan & Laramie in the past. Both have been great. Everything was good, but the Gumbo kinda wrecked the meal tonight. Wait! Not very impressed, somehow after traveling and seeing so many cows I was expecting a lot more, first of all it is cooked the cowboy way, that was basically raw.. that was my fault so I asked for it to be cooked medium rare , but I had to season it ... I guess that's the Wyoming way. I think I'll stick the Arroyo's Chop house in my state CA. where steaks are imported and cooked with lots of flavored. A ginormous space with a nice long bar area. I was greeted immediately and seated near the bar. Katarina welcomed me and informed me that I would not be alone, since I was being taken care of by her...lovely!! Had a fillet, a salad and the Brussels sprouts. The meat was seasoned well and the sprouts were steamed, by tasty. Still prefer mine roasted, by nonetheless, they were good. They had a good wine list and the Pinot noir was delicious and just what I needed after a long day of travel. Even had a piece of carrot cake, and damn if it wasn't as good or better than mine...and I ROCK carrot cake. Katarina made me feel welcome and not alone, which was greatly appreciated. Walked in and bartender was so rude we got up and left. . Didn't want to seat us in the area we wanted and was crass.

We made a reservation and showed up right in time. We were seated at 6:30. 20 minutes later, I went to the front desk to ask for some water for our table (a polite way of saying, "What the heck!? We're waiting here!"). The waitress they sent was very apologetic that we hadn't been served right away but it out a damper on the whole evening! The pork chop was excellent- juicy from first bite to last!- and my husband's filet was perfect. Too bad they don't have the service part of their enterprise worked out better! read more

We were happy to find a Chop House in Casper. We've eaten at them before and always enjoyed our meals. Our happiness lasted until our drinks were delivered. I had a Cosmopolitan. I'm not sure what I got, but it tasted like grapefruit juice and I seriously question if it had any alcohol in it. Next the food came. My wife ordered the planked salmon with brown sugar jerk seasoning. What a disappointment. The piece of fish was definitely old and had a very fishy taste. Add to that it had a number of bones in it. I had a filet which was very good. Altogether a very disappointing meal. We definitely won't visit this Chop House again. read more

Went in a couple weeks ago and they have a new menu. Yeah for the squash casserole! The shrimp appetizer came with fries and was a meal in itself. Great service they have obviously been working hard on changing the quality of their service. Carrot cake on the small side for the price but tasty. Next time I will try the crème brûlée!! read more
