Three words that you should pay close attention to... CHICKEN FRIED STEAK. If you are a CFS fan.. it is a absolute MUST. To die for! Steak Caesar salad, with extra grilled onions, and xtra dressing on the side. Nailed it. Steak was perfection. Soft and perfect medium rare, as requested. Red Zin wine was great, noise level was perfect, good atmosphere and comfortable tables. Staff was attentive & really nice! We even got to meet our waitresses baby. Was a great experience on our visit to Casper. Not one negative thing to say about it.

We had a girls brunch there about two weekends ago and this steak was so good. 10 out of 10.

Rib eye. Overcooked, dry, tough, tasteless, lowest grade beef. Dog food.

I sat on this review for a day because I was so conflicted. But here goes: the made-from-scratch tomato soup and the dirty Martini were to die for. Best dirty Martini of 2020 platinum award. But then the 16 oz rib eye slapped me in the face. It was all things it shouldn't be. Overcooked for medium, gray color, tough, dry, and tasteless. This was bottom of the barrel quality. Shoe sole on a plate. Possibly frozen more than once. And that is what dings this down because it's the main feature of the meal. Maybe it should be 2 stars because this rib eye gets my platinum award for WORST steak served in all of 2020.

15-16 oz ribeye with sides of garlic mashed and sautéed baby bell mushrooms.

The room was noticeably hotter than the rest of the restaurant. Service was a touch slow as they only assigned one server to our group. Which was weird. We had to serve our own win a few times. One salad showed up notably later than everyone else's appetizers. I had the French onion soup which is not salty (a common issue with many Steakhouse French onion soups). However, I was a little disappointed that the cheese was not melted as a complete lid on top of the soup but instead was floating in the soup. That makes a big difference. Also had the bone in ribeye as I usually do. It was cooked perfectly inside however it lacked the char that they were able to accomplish in previous times. I've been here. The fully loaded baked potato was nice and delicious. Also had party style appetizers, which included a cheese, charcuterie, board, stuffed mushroom caps, and shrimp that was seasoned with old Bay seasoning. The shrimp was interesting, and the individual pieces were very large. The mushroom caps were not bad and also large.

They've also changed their menu quite a few times since inception. First off it's a beautiful restaurant with a nice large parking lot and you'll be seated by a hostess on either the dining room side or the large bar/dining area on the other half of the restaurant. There's many large comfortable booths to sit in unless you want a table which there's plenty of too. Also high top tables for 4/6/8 available on the bar side or you can just sit at the very large bar that's three sided with 60 seats. The bar side is full of TVs. And generally has music videos as well as sports on. After getting seated by your hostess, expect you will get a great experience from your server as they take pride in training their staff very well here and I've never had a bad experience with a server in probably 20/25 visits here. The menu is a little all over the place now there are some interesting and tasty appetizers. The cheese logs and the fried green tomatoes seem to be most people's favorite appetizers. The chicken wings are pretty good though there are limited flavors available. They do an amazing happy hour menu with great appetizer deals as well as good drink deals if you have the opportunity to stop in during this time of day. I think where they shine is with their burgers. I've had some very delicious burgers there. I've also had good Italian type food with their rigatoni , manicotti and their Stromboli's. Their pizza used to be really excellent. And now it's a little hit and miss depending on which type you get. They have their own woodfired pizza Grill, which has the potential to make amazing crust. However, they tend to get ratios of cheese and meats a little off sometimes. The bison chili and the duck gumbo are both pretty good. It's not traditional Cajun gumbo but it's still a pretty delicious soup. I've had a few bad soups here, including the beer cheese and some of the other cheese soups, which were not completely cooked down and were gritty with flour base still noticeable. The fried fish is also a stand out dish that they do. And a lot of people really like their steaks and steak salad. Overall, this is a great place to bring your family or a large group of friends or even a elegant birthday party. You know you'll get taken really good care of and other than it's more on the expensive side you know exactly what you're gonna get every time highly recommended and if you're getting a cocktail, I recommend the huckleberry Mojito. Recommended.
