The real ones are the 1- and 2-star reviews since it seems everyone has the same experience with GMotors. This dealership will sell you a faulty vehicle, not answer your calls, and mislead you on the price. Do NOT spend your hard-earned money here this Memorial Day Weekend when there's tons of great dealerships in the area who actually care about customer service. The price you see online is NOT the price you pay. They lure you in with a great online deal then hike up the price approximately $3-6k depending on the price of the vehicle. For example, for a car advertised for $16,000 online they will add: -$1,995 Non-Finance Fee -$1,699 Reconstitution Fee -$899 Title Fee -$399 DMV Fee -5% taxes fees (~$800) If you finance with them, they will waive the $2k fee so they can make money on the back-end of the deal by selling the loan to a bank. Their spiel works like this: your salesman will add up all these fees, you'll complain and be like "no way I'm paying that", the salesman says "let me talk to my manager" who then walks over with a piece of paper and pen, then begins to act like he's giving you a deal by offering you financing to take away the $2k fee, reduce the $1,699 Recon fee to $899, and now you're still paying $3k over asking price (a 20% increase in overall price). We saw it happen to half a dozen other customers. You're not special in this "deal" it's the way these sleazebags do business. If you have any requested repairs for your vehicle at purchase, good luck with their service dept. Claudio (the service mgr) is terrible to work with. We got a Check Engine light on the way home from purchasing the vehicle. We made 4 different trips back for a simple hose replacement because they kept forgetting we had an appointment and they didn't have the part. In the end, they still messed up the repair (cost us $400 at the dealership for a different hose they forgot to reinstall). Even with paying the $1,399 in DMV/titling fees, we ended up having to get our title mailed to us to do our own titling/registration in Delaware. I've been calling them for weeks now to get my money back but they will not answer my calls or will blatantly hang up. We're now having to work with the AG's office and BBB on options. I purchased a 2022 Honda Accord on November 8, 2025. As a Delaware resident, I was issued temporary tags while the dealership processed my permanent registration. The temporary tags expired on December 7, 2025. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, I was not provided valid plates. Instead, I was given a letter to show law enforcement. On January 31, 2026, I was pulled over due to the expired tags and informed the letter was not legally sufficient. On February 2, 2026, the dealership stated they have my Delaware plates but will not release them unless I pay an additional $156, claiming a sales tax difference not reflected in my signed contract. My agreement shows $1,095 in sales tax. I requested proof from the Delaware DMV but was sent an expired link and told the fee was related to a third-party agency. The manager confirmed the plates will not be released without payment. The dealership is also withholding my spare key, which was included in the purchase. The Delaware DMV informed me that withholding plates under these circumstances would be illegal in Delaware and advised me to file a complaint in New Jersey. read more

I made an appointment with the dealership on Old Bridge to look at a BMW. I called and asked specific questions about the condition of the car and was told it is well mantained and runs good. Went to the appointment and was greeted with "whats up." I give G motors a zero stars. I purchased a car there a little over two months ago well test driving the truck car and agreeing to the purchase following the next day to pick up the vehicle as it was being detailed my sales person name was Carlos as leaving the check engine light was on he assured me to bring it back that following Monday as a service department was closed and they would repair anything that was wrong with the vehicle. I arrived back to the location the following Monday where I was insured that the car was fixed in two months I went to the location 19 times for the same issue was and emissions problems. The service manager oversee the maintenance of the vehicle and kept advising me the vehicles fixed, and he replaced the part. but in all reality, they never did. They kept racing the code never giving me paperwork of what was done every time I went out. I was there for six hours. My car broke down multiple times even the mechanic had to repair it so they had to tow it to the dealer for repairs into the dealership as I receive or registration, and it was past my temp, expiration date come to realize that 90% of the staff was fired where I met the owner and he advised me that he took care of ordering my registration and plates and advised me that he will order the part and ensure that the service department would fix the emissions and evap. when David the service manager supposedly order the part, they advised me when the part was to bring the vehicle brought the vehicle in for the 19th time and instead of fixing it without my consent or approval or my knowledge they took the vehicle to Edison erase the codes and had the inspection done. advise us that the vehicle was fixed, but never told us that they took the vehicle to be inspected, three weeks later, the check engine light appeared again with the same problems, emission and the evap. I've been in contact with the financial bank with all my evidence from Auto well as text messages from me and Carlos the salesman I bring the car back to the dealership for them to repair once again and they turned me away. I wouldn't recommend buying a vehicle from here and I'm gonna consult with a lawyer because not only me during the time of all the times I went for repairs, I've met multiple people and got their contact information that are dealing with the same thing. STOP AND FIND ANOTHER DEALER TO WORK WITH If you are reading this and debating if you should trust the terrible reviews on G Motors I assure you to find another dealer to work with. I am a military veteran and honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness is of utmost importance especially when you are buying a vehicle. The buying process for me was extremely easy as I was looking for a used Jeep Wrangler for my daughter as a first time driver. I'm very easy to work with and so was Lou so the buying process itself is extremely easy. I will say they are sneaky with how they post their pricing on their website. They will give you a price but in fine print there is a down payment disclaimer which you can only see if you scroll over. Kind of a crappy marketing tactic but it is what it is. They do this so outside 3rd party websites list their vehicles for cheaper to get you in. In my case, Car Gurus showed this particular vehicle for $10,100 (with no disclaimer of a down payment) which is why I even engaged in purchasing this vehicle. Lou confirmed the price and availability the night before I drove down only to have it priced about $3k higher than what was listed. The first sign of their dishonesty. Lou's direct response: "we don't control other websites listing" which is true but they know very well how deceiving it is to get those websites to list it for cheaper than what they are asking. Not to mention he confirmed the price the night before. Needless to say Lou was able to work with the pricing a bit and I decided to buy it but I do feel I have to mention the sneaky sales tactics. With that said, if you are looking for a TRUSTWORTHY dealership that is RELIABLE in what they sell you I promise you this dealership is not the one. If you ever saw the movie Maltida this is the exact type of dealership the dad worked at... shady and all about the sale. They get their vehicles via trade or auction and throw them on the lot without inspecting them in hopes they get some sucker to just come in and trust their word that they are inspected and free of major defects to include the engine. They ensured me the vehicle was inspected by their "certified mechanics" and free of any major engine issues outside of what was noted on the car fax report and visible. The Car Fax report was favorable overall and there were some minor dings and the drivers side mirror was shattered. I'm not even sure it was legal for me to drive it off the lot that way but nonetheless that didn't concern me since it was a pretty cheap fix ($57) for me and after all my daughter is a first time driver... it's going to get some dings along the way. I asked Lou about any known engine, transmission, or major issues in which he replied "these vehicles are all inspected thoroughly by our certified mechanics". I confirmed directly with Lou that all of their used vehicles go through a vigorous inspection process which is a complete and utter lie. I got the vehicle home which was about an 1:20 from their dealership in Monroe, NJ only to find out it had an oil leak. There is no way a certified mechanic with any type of knowledge or experience in the specialized field would have missed this. I know for a fact they didn't inspect this vehicle because the coolant had maybe a teaspoon of coolant (which I am kicking myself because that's one thing I didn't check prior to test driving it). They received this vehicle via auction, threw it on the lot, and told me whatever I wanted to hear to have the sale go through. After taking the vehicle to my local mechanic who specializes in actual auto repair, I gave Lou an opportunity to rectify the situation to no avail a slew of missed calls and emails... Ghosted. Nothing but a sale to these guys especially because I paid cash and they got their money. My friend bought a 2011 Hyundai Elantra from G Motors and has only had it for 18 months. Soon after she got this car she noticed it needed a lot of work. The first time she took it back to get work done they did fix something, however that would be the only time this would happen. She then noticed that the entire bottom of the frame is completely rusted out. She called the dealer multiple times. They never answered and she never received a return call. She then went there in person and they said since she still owed money on the vehicle, they wouldn't do anything. I don't know why I keep having bad luck with these shady dealerships. So I called into this place regarding a 2011 Ford Fusion with 73k miles on it. From the start, I told them I'm not here for the back and forths and negotiating. I want to cut straight to the point and set a price that I'd be ok with. They agreed if it was cash. I told them if it's in good condition, I would come purchase it yesterday. After getting my finances together, I reached out with them and said I want the number to be a flat number after taxes, titles, registration, fees, etc. and it was a $49 difference from the originally agreed upon number. The salesman Johnny repeatedly starts cutting me off telling me we already had an agreement, trying to posture that original number like I had signed some type of agreement. I told him outright it wasn't a negotiation - that they could take it or leave it, which caused him to continue to try to cut me off and be rude. I explained to him that with the rudeness in his service, he clearly doesn't want the sale and that I could either demand another sales rep and make sure he doesn't get the credit or I could just as easily go to another dealership and look for a deal I was satisfied with. After repeated back and forths, which I initially told him I won't entertain, I demanded the owner. He asked "why would you have to speak to the owner?" in which I responded because I am no longer dealing with him. The owner (Alex) was a bit more civil and tried to de-escalate the situation. We came to an agreement on the flat number I was looking for and I told him I'd make it in sometime throughout the day (which I wasn't able to.) Brings you to today --- I walk in there with my friend Trent (he drove me over half an hour on his off day) to come check out the vehicle with the intention to buy it. I had cash in hand. They didn't have the car prepped (I was promised a full tank of gas) and Johnny said yesterday that he just took the vehicle on a drive to test it and how it ran excellent (which I had doubts after reading reviews on Google Reviews and Yelp later in the day.) When I get there I'm greeted by Ronnie, who I was told was a co-owner/partner to Alex. Alex was apparently off today. He tells me to go test drive it (without even verifying I have a license) and see what I think. Car looked fine and the interior was clean but the moment I got on the highway, I immediately noticed the transmission was having an extremely difficult time catching gear. I drive to a stop at a light and my steering wheel start shaking violently. Everytime the car is at an idle stop in drive it does this. I get back and mention it to Ronnie and he doesn't seem surprised or even want to see it happen. Psychologically, it came off like he knew about it because otherwise I can't see him not wanting see the issue when I told him to come check out what I was referring to. He tries to spin me into a few other vehicles even though I made it extremely clear I would only be coming all the way out there to pick up this vehicle so to let me know of any issues. At this point, all I can think is that they knew about the issue and crossed their fingers I wouldn't notice. There's a reason the post for the ad was around for over 2 months and I guess where I messed up was that it was too good to be true for that rate. They tried to show me several other vehicles that didn't fit what I clearly told them I was looking for in a vehicle so as salesman they clearly didn't know how to right fit based on a customers needs. They also come off as liars who try to get people to get into the dealership to hit them with the bait and switch or pressure them into a purchase because they don't want to leave empty handed after a long commute. I felt disrespected. Ronnie, even at one point, mentioned that he doesn't need me wasting his time when in reality it was them that wasted my time by not being honest about their vehicles. It has now been OVER TWO MONTHS and I still do not have my tags and registration!! I've called relentlessly, left messages with every employee they have, each time they say they'll call back, and each time they do not.
