Came to the dealership to shop for a Mazda cx-5 and they said their msrp as 34k and added a bunch of bogus dealer adds on that took it to 36k even though their internet price says 30k When I stuck to the lower price during negotiation the manager asks me in a condescending tone how I can be so far off. How can he list his car as 30k online but when I'm in the door it's 36k not including taxes and fees. If you want to make a deal you should be transparent from the get go. read more

I'd already looked at a few other places for months prior to going to Sansone Mazda, where navigating their website felt like an all-day ordeal. I LOVE MY NEW MAZDA CX-30 2.5S and I had to add that first. I read positive reviews about Sansone Mazda and after reading about salesman Thomas's great feedback from customers, I reached out online and someone contacted me promptly. Thomas is a great, down-to-earth guy who is not pushy and listens. I test drove the car, discussed numbers, and wrapped up financing next door at Jeep because there were many purchasing cars that day at the Mazda dealership. He was just as fantastic as Thomas, and he made me laugh quite a bit. All was negotiated quickly. No games, just straightforward and efficient. The finance experience was truly above and beyond. Thomas and the Finance Manager at Jeep also followed up afterward to make sure I was happy and to thank me for my purchase. I received a thank you card from Thomas, in addition to an email, a notification card in the mail and a call when my plates and registration were ready. It took only two weeks. I really appreciate their effort to make sure I knew I could swing by to retrieve everything, and it took about five minutes at the pickup desk to retrieve both. It helps to bring the orange card that was mailed to you because when you hand it to them your name is already on there, so you don't have to fill some paperwork out or spell your name. I called Thom and told him I would stop by on Saturday and not sure what time to pick up my plates and registration. When I did drive over a few days later, a very nice gentleman approached me while I was waiting for Thomas who wanted to put on my plates, say hello and answer questions I might have about the new car. The young man offered two times to assist me which was fantastic, but I did want to wait for Thomas. After a few moments, I was told that Thomas was on a test-drive with another customer, who happened to be Danny the Assistant Manager who insisted on helping me with attach my plates. This impressed me because sometimes salespeople will sell you a car and not want to waste time further assisting you with plates and questions and answers so they can be busy trying to make a sale. Regrettably I have to update this review to further articulate the unprofessionalism of Danny. This morning I received a call from Danny telling me that Sansone Mazda was "swamped and understaffed" this past Saturday November 29, 2025 when I visited their showroom. I explained to Danny that I didn't see that during my visit and what I observed appeared to be five to six Sansone Mazda employees occupying the same office that I entered to speak with Danny with only two computer workstations, so how busy were the three to four Sansone employees that were not at a computer workstation. Danny told me that he read my text message to his dealership, which also is the same Yelp review I left on Saturday and also told me that I am upset. I asked Danny are you asking me or telling me I'm upset? Danny replied that based on my text he knows I am upset. I tell Danny not to analyze a text which is toneless and flat and I am not upset, but disappointed in the lack of customer service demonstrated by the Sansone Mazda employees. Danny wants to again tell me I'm upset and if I knew anything about the car purchasing process, I would know it takes hours to review and close a deal and not the 23-minutes I afforded Sansone Mazda. Danny's continued actions of informing me that I was upset was a rage baiting tactic that I was not going to entertain. I did remind Danny that he called me, I did not initiate contact with him, and since he initiated contact he should be ready to hear and learn from what he and Sansone Mazda did wrong on Saturday to lose a potential customer. Again, regrettably I have to revisit my initial review to spend additional time informing Yelp review readers that Danny has no customer service skills, is unprofessional, rude and doesn't care if Sansone Mazda welcomes new customers to their dealership. If you bring your car into Sansone Mazda service, you really need to have your head examined. Go elsewhere. They used to have a really nice svc dept a few years ago. How far it has fallen, not sure it can go any lower. Brought my 2022 Miata to have have ground effects installed. Had an appointment 8am Monday, went to drop car off on Sunday night, gates are locked, cant get in. Take a day off from work, Friday, to bring it in. Again at 8am; arrived at 7:50 am. At 9:15 service adviser tells me they don't have the $14.99 tool to install the kit ( This is 1:15 minutes after they started, mind you nothing was done, all genuine Mazda parts I supplied were still wrapped ) I have one, I said. So I had to drive home to get them a tool to install my parts. Are you friggin kidding me ? Another 40 min gone.. Here it is 1:00 pm, my day off ruined because of an inept svc dept. and still don't have my car back yet. I installed the front and rear pieces in 2 hours. Here we are 5+ hours later, the 2 sides are still not done. This was a very easy job to accomplish. No troubleshooting involved, no replacement parts involved. Just installation of 2 side skirts, that is it. Trust me on this, go elsewhere. Save yourself the grief and aggravation. It is not worth it. You will thank me later. Final slap in the face: They did poor work and messed up my car. Before I left I showed Alan the service advisor and the mechanic. They threw their hands in the air and walked away. I wish I can give this place 0 stars. I bought a used 2018 BMW X3, the car looked good on the outside. Within 2 weeks of having it, the check engine light came on because the filter in the gas tank was shot. They kept my car for 10 days....then when I went to go get it inspected in NY, it failed for balding tires. They are refusing to replace the tires and now I am stuck with a car that can't pass inspection and they want me to spend my own money on tires. Illegal horrible business. As we sit at the desk he asks my dad (not even me, even though i am the buyer) if we are looking to lease, finance, or pay cash & i say finance, he proceeds to say "Oh that's sad" like excuse me? His comment was completely unsolicited. As we continue the conversation he speaks only to my dad & does not address anything with me. When I was looking at other dealerships, the bait and switch and aggressive sales people were expected, but I was surprised at the number of sales people who were bothered to answer questions or seemed uninterested in even selling a car. Tom, on the other hand, was extremely knowledgeable with an old school sales approach. He pitched the deals, but never pushed. The whole car buying process felt effortless. This place was pretty ridiculous. Came looking for a mazda3. They weren't organized at all. Probably the first dealer that I've gone too where I actually had to go looking for someone to help me out. After waiting a really long time they eventually assigned me someone who was fairly clueless. He didn't seem to know the answers to any questions. Finally when he didn't even know the warranty, he acknowledged that he didn't work there but was just helping them out. Wtf!! They had me waiting for so long to assign me someone who knows less about the car than me?!? On the positive side, they were not pushy at all. I mentioned that I wanted to look at Priuses the next day, and they didn't try to convince me to do a deal that day, which was appreciated. My experience was superb! I went to lease a vehicle and had a wonderful experience through and through. I had done extensive research (went to a number of dealerships) and came from Ramsey Mazda that day where I walked away as I didn't feel comfortable proceeding - it felt like I was hustled and I wasn't comfortable giving them my money (I'm leaving a separate review for that unpleasant experience). Upon entering Sansone Mazda, I was greeted by a young man named José who promptly and cordially introduced himself and asked how he could be of service. I explained I wanted a lease and I knew which vehicle I wanted. He presented me with an offer and when I explained I didn't want to beat around the bush, I told him my bottom line. He was able to work with me and gave me a great deal. It should be needless to say - but after my experience at Ramsey Mazda, I guess it needs to be mentioned - José had a nice pressed shirt and was professional and was well groomed. The guys at Ramsey felt like they rolled out of bed with unironed T-shirts and the space itself was like the service department. Sansone was a large, well-lit and meticulously clean space where clearly people take pride in what they do. At one point I had a question and the manager Jonathan stopped by, introduced himself, and answered my question. He also mentioned how happy he is to work at Sansone, largely because he admired the owner Mr Sansone who was well into his 80s and still came to work every day. I have to say - the whole experience left me very content that I was supporting a family business and I didn't feel like I got taken advantage of. I have purchased/leased the car from this dealership before with no issues in 2020. However this time I was trying to reach a sales rep for the quote for the last 3 weeks. Every time they are telling me that they will talk to the manager and will give me a call back, but no one called me back. I live hour away from the dealership and was trying to make a purchase and deposit over the phone. Dealer is claiming this customer unfriendly treatment due to the car shortage and making other excuses. Just tired of calling this dealership for the lease quote. Rick just called me and labeled me a "review writer". Rick didn't provide me with his job position/title and just informed me that new company policy. DO NOT SHOP HERE! SHADY LIARS! Obviously you expect to be haggled a little from car salesmen, but not straight up LIED to. They lower their prices online just to get you in the store and then ADD on $6000!!!! We even called before we drove here bc we live an hour away just to make sure that was the actual price and they confirmed they dropped the price to $25k. Then when we started talking figures they said the total its gonna be atleast $31k! He couldn't even tell us what the EXTRA $6,000 was for!!! $6,000 extra!!! Had a very bad experience. Went in to buy a SUV for my dad based on the other positive reviews but this experience has lost them our business. We dealt with Jonathan Roman and had an appointment to test drive a CX-5 and were also curious about the CX-3. To start off the guy told us the CX-3 was a "junk" and he strongly recommended a CX-30. So we test drove a CX-30 and found it wasn't to our liking. When we requested a CX-5 to test drive, the guy said something along the lines of 'What is your game plan today? I am a busy guy with many customers so we don't want to waste both our times.' But then after we had to convince him, he brought out a CX-5 for us to test drive, which we did. We liked the car, told him we were likely to buy in 15-20 days and to be fair to them that we were also going to test drive a Toyota, but we liked the car a lot. When we inquired about the pricing, the guy rudely said "Check the website and read the fine print." We left immediately. Even though we had an appointment, we wouldn't have minded if they had let us know that they had other customers to deal with and if we had to wait a few more minutes. This kind of rude treatment is definitely bad behaviour, let alone from a sales person who had a very eager potential customer. read more

Buyer Beware! If I got what I thought I was originally getting I would have given this place 4-5 stars. Instead, I'm leaving a one star review in the hopes that others don't get duped as well.  Read below on the deceptive sales practices that go on at Sansone Mazda:  My family has purchased 2 vehicles from Sansone in the past and we always had a great experience but I've only had trouble this time around. I purchased what I thought was a certified pre-owned 2017 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring AWD on 8/29/20 at Sansone Mazda located in Woodbridge, NJ. The Sansone website said Grand Touring and all my paperwork says Grand Touring. Even during the test drive, I asked the salesperson why a certain feature (lane departure assist) did not appear to be working and he responded "it may be turned off".   One week later, I found out that I purchased a Grand Select, a lower trim level. I immediately contacted the salesperson.  This could have been an honest mistake by the dealership but I specifically came to the dealership in response to an ad for a Grand Touring. My partner is a new driver and the Grand Select is missing key features such as forward collision detection, lane departure warning, lane departure assist (as well as adaptive cruise control and adaptive headlights). Safety is very important to me and my family and I wouldn't have made the purchase if I knew these items were not included.    It's been a back and forth with the dealership. At first, no one was responding to my messages but the general manager provided his cellphone but no solutions. I feel like the dealership continues to delay. I went to the dealership on 10/17 for them to appraise my vehicle. They had me test drive a 2017 Grand Touring but wanted me to pay the difference in the price (a few thousand dollars!!). Why would I pay thousands more for what I thought I was originally buying?? I asked them for an even swap since I thought I was getting a Grand Touring and it is not my fault that I received a Grand Select and the value of a Grand Select is less. I feel like I do not have a clear path forward. I'm very upset. This issue continues to drag on.  This is a bait and switch as well as false advertising! Shame on the dealership for allowing this to happen.  I purchased my vehicle August 29th, 2020 and it's November 3, 2020 and I still do not have a solution.  I'm so frustrated that I hope others read this review and avoid this dealership! read more

Finally went there yesterday to get some work done. As far as good experiences go, this one is up there. The team was absolutely terrific. Here are a couple of details. Getting parts: 3 other dealerships said I had to come in person, go through ordering everything... in person!... pay, and come back another day just to get the service done. Ridiculous. But here Beatrice at Service had everything ready for me when I got there. She connected with the Parts Department where Jimmy got the order together and passed it on to Service. It was so EASY! Professional, courteous. Cost: Prices here are a little bit better than some other dealers too, but not for everything. When I mentioned I had been shopping around, they were able to match many of the prices! It was great, now I was getting good customer service and still paying very reasonable rates. So just because of that I bought more stuff! Also, they honored most of the coupons I found so I saved a couple bucks. Customer Service: Because of Parent/Teacher Conferences I had to have my kid with me. Full of energy. Every parent knows it's hard to wait around with a bouncing little maniac for 3 hours. But Beatrice and her colleague were able to get me a loaner so we could go to Woodbridge mall 7 minutes away where we easily killed the time. And even before the loaner became available, she offered to drive us to the mall and pick us up when the car was ready. Service: My 'Android Auto / CarPlay' system was installed well without a trace of anyone ever being in the car. Although I have to learn to use it I see that it works well and is a huge improvement to the drive adding convenience and safety. Julian was able to program my new key and two existing keys that I had, and when he encountered a glitch he was able to quickly fix the issue. Car was ready quicker than expected, looking great and ready to ride. Environment: The facility, showroom, bathrooms, waiting area were all great, comfortable and pleasant to be in. I tried to avoid looking at the new CX-30... afraid of buying one! One negative thing that happened. A customer wasn't wearing a mask, talking loud on his phone, acting like he was at home and no one else existed. However, a Service Team member approached him and asked him to wear a mask. I really appreciated that and noticed the same from two other customers waiting as well. Finally, this is a great place for every reason I've had to be there so far. Pretty much everything was easy and well taken care of. I felt like my business mattered to them, that they cared about their job, that they respected each other and us. Car dealerships can be weird. This one is absolutely great. If I were shopping for a car now, I would immediately go to Sansone Mazda. Not only because of how badass Mazda cars are, but also because of what this dealership does with their team and their approach to the customer. I had an opportunity to buy another car from Sansone Mazda. Upon arriving, we were personally greeted by the most amazing sales representative, Tom. Tom has been with the company for over ten years, and his veteran level experience shows. He took us out for a test ride in a CX-30, where he aptly and astutely pointed out various features of the vehicle. He taught us more in 10 minutes about the car than we ever knew. Then we sat down for negotiations on the purchase, after several back and forth trips, I had the pleasure to meet one of the most kind people, Anthony, the head of the sales team. He generously worked with me to deliver us a price we were both comfortable with. His presence was a joy and brightened up the rest of my day. I left with a pristine condition Mazda CX-30. I am extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to work with both Tom and Anthony! The sales team at Sansone Mazda is amazing and highly experienced. Jeff treated my car like a family vehicle, and was able to resolve a warranty issue with expertise and ease, that my local dealer gave me the run around for multiple times. My main complaint is that I purchased my car here, apart from over charging and adding a ridiculous amount of fees, their overall service is atrocious. I've called a total of 6 times to get a service advisor to give me a call back to 1. Check if they have the correct tires for my vehicle 2. Estimate of total cost. And to this day I am still waiting. It's upsetting that they will only resolve an issue when you escalate it to the highest level possible, and leave a review to draw their attention. I never write reviews, and this experience prompted me to. It was the worst customer service I have experienced in a long, long time. I made an appointment to get my oil changed because this is where I purchased my car. No one inside wears a mask, including the Service Manager (guy behind the Service Desk. The service manager is an extremely rude man, who is quick with you and saw me waiting outside in the heat because I was feeling uncomfortable inside, because no one inside was wearing a mask. He knew I was waiting outside for over an hour for a simple oil change. Extremely upsetting and uncomfortable experience, and I purchased our car there and was planning on being a customer for a long time. Well ya lost me and my family, and any of our recommendations for future purchases Sansone, because of your SERVICE CENTER (aka the guy behind the desk at the service center who seems to be in charge.) Worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. Oh, and wear a mask so everyone feels comfortable! (Its a shame as we purchased our car with Max, and he was amazing and so considerate and helpful. But the service center and the guy that runs the service center is awful.
