This was my husbands favorite pizza and it has been difficult for me to return here.. since he passed away.. this was a big step for me today returning with my sister who drives down from The Villages to eat here.. yes we are all New Yorkers and very picky about our Pizza! This was one of least favorite pizza places in the area. Slices were reheated which made the crust as hard as a rock. There's little to no sauce. Perhaps it's better if ordered fresh but by the slice was definitely a bad idea. read more

I am sooooo happy. The other day I really wanted that Ny slice of pizza that love. I really didn't know where I could get this besides NY. Im a NY girl and a Brooklyn girl at heart. I've tried other pizza places that claim it's just like ny pizza. I've read reviews that says oh it's like ny pizza. But I have tried almost all of them and every single time felt like something just wasn't right. Well the other day I decided ok let me give this place gs a chance. Visiting my daughter & family, I decided to treat the grandchildren during their Thanksgiving break. Now at 7 & 9yrs and born in FL, they had no idea that real pizza doesn't taste like the cheap chains. The flavor and thin crust was exactly what I expect a good NY/NJ/PA to be. Our delivery took the 45min that I was told, and the young woman that showed up was very friendly. I'll be here another month and plan on ordering again for Christmas break. Been a while since I've done a full review but I had to give this place 5 stars. I am so happy to find a real NY style pizza near my new job. Great service, you can tell they love what they do and it shows in their customer service skills. My initial phone call was taken by a very nice woman, and when I walked in to pick up my pie I was greeted warmly by a nice gentleman from Long Island. The pizza knocked it outta the park. I'm very stingy on my pizza reviews since growing up in NJ we were spoiled with amazing pizza places. If you paid $14 for an 18 in pie in NJ that was very high but the pizza was delicious. G's pizza was decent pizza for the area but I would not consider this NY pizza by a long shot. The big problem is the water in Florida is not close to quality of water in NY/NJ so the dough does not rise the same. You will not get that fluffy, thick doughy crust here unless you truck the water in from up north. Price was high compared to others in the area and the inside was very small with only 10 seats. The staff was super nice and native New Yorkers but unfortunately the water quality kills the pizza. Best in the area though. read more

As another New Yorker (Queens), this is my go to spot when the pizza cravings kick in, plus they sell them by the slice as well , which is hard to find in small towns. Great pie, subs are average..okay maybe slightly above average but the first time I ordered a sausage and peppers sub I got gipped on the peppers and onions. Overall it is clear that this is a real deal NY Pizza joint. Along with the high quality food, the atmosphere inside is very indicative of a classic NY pizza place. It appears to family owned and operated. The inside is very small and they have a tiny old school TV hanging in the corner. I wish they would expand and open up more locations, especially because I don't live in Clermont anymore. read more

I was excited to hear of a place in Clermont that had good, real NY style pizza so I placed a delivery order. I ordered the Sunday special that consists of a large pizza and 10 wings. The delivery was fast but I was disappointed when I opened the pizza box. Whatever was inside was NOT a real NY style pizza. It was just an average pizza I could have got from any of these other pizza places in the area. The wings are fantastic though. Next time I will pass on the pie and just go for the wings! read more

Pizza is NOT good. We ordered 1-1/2 hours ahead of our requested delivery time since it was going to be a busy night (Friday evening, World Series final game, and rain). Pizza DID arrive on time, that is the best I can say about it. It probably was cooked when we ordered it 1-1/2 hours ago. Dry, tough crust. Not thin as we asked and requested. No sauce, skimpy ingredients. This is the second time we have received a dry, tasteless pizza from here. Our family absolutely LOVES G's Pizza and the owner that we fondly refer to as Pizza Pete! It's the best NY-style pizza that we've had in Florida and the calzones, strombolis, and meatball subs are all to die for! We enjoy our pizza just plain cheese so no toppings take away from that yummy, cheesy flavor. It's always a pleasure to walk in and be greeted immediately, often by name, and we've never had a less-than-stellar experience with them. I cannot give this place 0 stars as it so richly deserves. The pizza was COLD AND STALE. I should have asked for my money back for that. They charged us for water. Now that is incredible! I have not ever been charged for water anywhere in FL. THE slices had FECAL MATTER because that same evening I had a REALLY bad case of the runs. I had to return to the bathroom several times. When I informed them of this they just ignored me. Well let us see how this grabs them! HYGIENE??? Get the health inspector down there! NOT AT ALL. NY pizza!
