I came to this place because on google it had a high rating compared to all the other pizza and wing shops around the Clermont area. I will say this place did NOT disappoint. The wings and pizza is amazing, the customer service is homey. If you're eating in know that its hot inside but its typical for an small, NY style, Italian shop. The only pizza we'll eat in Clermont. We're trying to eat healthier, so we don't eat pizza as much as we used to, but when we do we wont settle for less. I've lived here in Clermont for 6 months now and in that time I've tried several pizzerias in Central Florida; I have to say that G's is by far the best. Growing up in New Jersey, my expectation based on the reviews here was pretty high. Unfortunately I found that while the pizza (half pepperoni, half plain) was decent, it was not what I consider NY pizza quality. Crust had the consistency more like a cracker than pizza dough which should be crunchy outside, and a little doughy/fluffy inside. I ordered a calzone and a stromboli. The calzone was ok but the riccota cheese was weird like it was low quality, grainy kind of, the stromboli was yuck. I got to pick 2 toppings for the inside so I picked mushrooms and green peppers. The mushrooms were canned and gross and the green peppers were soggy and gross. That isn't the way you make a stromboli anyway. 2 toppings? I will not order from them ever again. I also have a little stomach upset. I do have to say it was delivered on time. read more

Not blowing smoke but this place has never disappointed me. I've ordered pasta dishes, pizzas, wings (which no one can ever get right for me) and today a philly cheese steak. Aboslustly tge best food I've come across I. Clermont. Give it a try, you won't be dissatisfied. The only thing that I don't like is the closing hours. Sometimes I can't get an order in on time before they close but that will never make me not order their food. I used to live in downtown Orlando and had some really good Italian there. If you want NY pizza in Central Florida this is " The place to be". As soon as I walked in the door I felt like I was back in NY. The owner is an Italian-American actually from NY. I think his name was Pete(pretty sure, sorry if I got it wrong) and he was definitely from NY, I am also from NY and Italian. He was really nice and great with the kids. The food was excellent and definitely the closest I have had to NY pizza anywhere in Florida. When this popped up as authentic New York pizza, we were like yea right, 'we'll' see how Italian IT is. Hmm...I'm not a fan of trashing a restaurant the first time I go there, but G's left a really bad taste in my mouth. From the phone call to place the order, to the delivery time, to the taste (or lack of) of the food, it wasn't a positive experience. The person who answered the phone must have ahd a bad day. What a jerk. He seemed pretty irritated that we were ordering food and apparently getting delivery was a problem although the coupon stated they delivered far beyond where we live. We ordered the white pizza, cheese ravioli and mild wings. We were told that it would take an hour for delivery. An hour? It was a Wednesday night, no sporting events on T.V., no crazy events in town, why an hour? Oh well, maybe it will be worth it. After an hour and ten minutes, we called back to see where the food was. The same rude person answered and said the driver should be here any minute. 20 minutes later, the food arrived. So, we pay, tip the driver (probably not his fault it was late) and proceed to get down to business. The food was hot (total surprise) and looked great. That's where the positives end. The best part of the meal was the wings. The sauce was not terrible. It had that butter and hot sauce taste, but it had mild heat and decent flavor. The wings weren't soggy or under-cooked, the meat was plentiful however there could have been more flats (small issue, not that serious). The garlic knots that came with the meal looked and tasted like pre-packaged biscuits with garlic butter and parmesan shook over them. They had great flavor, but they had odd texture. The ravioli had sauce that was bland and tasted like tomato puree from a can. I have no problem with canned tomato puree, but add some flavor to it! We added garlic salt and pepper to it and that made it a bit better. Still a letdown. We shouldn't have to add flavor to italian food. Now to the pizza. Wow, what a stinker. If you are going to put "NY" in the name of your pizza restaurant, live up to the hype! We added mushrooms to the pie (as usual) and expected something delightful. Not sure if the mushrooms were canned, but tehy sure tasted that way. And the crust? Too thin, overcooked and again, no flavor. Try putting riccotta and mozzerella on a tortilla and baking it at home, you'd have a better pizza than this. I'm sorry to be so negative about this experience. I know that people sometimes have a bad day, and their enthusiasm for their job may suffer, but make up for it by taking pride in the product you sell. We order 1/2 onion 1/2 pepperoni at least once a week. We're pickier than the average pizza lover and have never been disappointed, always the way we like it. We've shared with many friends who have also become regulars. Asked for apricot Italian cookies a few times which they didn't have then one day my husband walked in and was told they had saved some in the back for us, what a nice gesture and they were delicious! Pizza is ok, but there is better out there. The pasta was the worst I had ever had, it had no sauce, the chicken had no seasoning, they full up the plate with pasta and then sprinkle some chicken on top, so your getting more pasta then anything else. You would think for what they charge for a Chicken Alfredo it would be good, but no it was so bad I wish I could get my money back, how do u called youself an original Italian restaurant and TGI Friday's chicken alfredo is 100 times better then yours.
