This is THEE most slept on pizza in town. As someone who prefers mom and pop restaurants over franchises - I would highly recommend. We got the meat pizza, vodka pasta with chicken and a caeser salad. The vodka pasta was by far the most authentic I've ever had. The meat pizza was OVERLOADED with meat which I loved (not missing any protein goals around here!). And the caeser was good. The garloc knots kinda fell flat for me because they were a little hard and cold. But the service was great. Food was made quickly and staff was so friendly. This is for the Clermont location. Just ordered a pie. First and foremost, I've never had an issue with the pizza . However, it seems as if they have someone else making the pies tonight. The pizza was doughy and extremely chewy. I could only put down one slice. I normally eat three. This is the first time this has happened. Please bring back your original pizza maker. The under carriage has to be somewhat thin and crispy. It has to stand up the fold test. If it flops your pizza maker flops out of a job. I would give it 2 stars . The pizza is great. I placed a $60 order including pizza, wings, cheesy bread, etc. The mild chicken wings were ok, not flavorful or fresh and had barely any sauce. I wouldn't order them again. As soon as we entered the lobby we were greated by very friendly staff and seated ourselves. Place was decent for family lunch. Pizza was delicious. It was thick but not doughy with just enough crispy edges and not burnt. Everything else was lacking flavor. Not enough salt or seasoning very bland but you could add it there from the table seasoning rack to your liking but I would have loved not having to do to much of that. I ordered four large pies... pepperoni & sausage, pepperoni & bacon, half cheese & half pineapple and a veggie. The crust was very good and they load on a decent amount of toppings. So they agreed to make a Sicilian pie, OH BOY! It was delivered to the table and we all looked at it. The general concensus was WTF! Yup WTF. In my whole life have I ever seen such a Sicilian pie such as this. The crust was a wee bit over cooked as the bottom of the slices had charcoal spots. The razor thin layer of sauce lacked any flavor whatsoever. There was more flavor in the napkins then the sauce. The cheese, what cheese? It was like a pinch of cheese on each slice. We each had a slice and politely hid our remains in a bunch of napkins and asked for a box so that we could discard it in the outside trashcan. We paid 47.00 for a Sicilian pie 1 water in a bottle 2 sodas in cans. If your looking for authentic pizza stray away from this place. So to sum it up, Don't be fooled like I was by the facade. I saw this place on Yelp and had my doubts but today we were on way back from Tampa and ready to eat so we decided to try it. We tried the arancini balls and it wasn't like any arancini I've ever had. Wait, I didn't mean to make it sound like it was bad; in fact, it was a mix between a Latino papa rellana (stuff potato) and a arancini, you have to try because it was tasty and very light. I went into Mamma Rita's today with my father, and had a pretty bad experience. We were seated immediately and asked what we wanted to drink. We were the only people in the restaurant and it took at least 10 minutes to get our drinks. The waitress was friendly but pretty indifferent to us but perked up when a larger table came in. We ordered stuffed shells and chicken marsala respectively, my stuffed shells were ok at best, and not particularly hot. The chicken marsala looked awful and not appetizing at all to my father, who sent it back. They at least took that marsala off the bill. We got no apologies from management, as they left the uncomfortable moments for the waitress to handle. We left feeling as if our business meant absolutely nothing to them. If you want good Italian food, avoid Mamma Rita's. We'll never go back. read more

We had house salads and calzones. Both were good and the calzone was a generous size. Silverware was not cleaned thoroughly so I grabbed another setting. Waitress was friendly but a little slow. We have been here 4 times over 6 months for dinner and the AC has not and still does not work.They have not repaired. They have fans but do nothing for temp. We have been at 5pm every time. Lunch time might be fine but when people want to have an early dinner, unacceptable. And the place only had a few tables and everyone had to wait an exorbitant amount of time. Our server Autumn was so so sweet. We went on Mother's Day weekend and she wrote on our to go boxes to say Happy Mothers Day. I love this place. They make the best Penne ala Vodka around. They also have the best Sicilian slice. So go check it out. My review is more about the ones who went there once and I get you had a bad experience and for that I understand why the rating. But what really upsets me is that after only one visit you say " will never be back". So have you ever had a bad burger from McDonald's or BK or Wendy's??? I'm sure you have yet you go back. We hold mom and pop style places to a standard we don't hold fast food places to yet there systems should never produce bad products.
