Went here for the first time yesterday and received a regular mani/pedi. They charge $45 on Monday and Tuesday for both which to me is a great deal these days! It's a very quiet and relaxing spa, which I appreciate. When I splurge on self care, I look forward to a peaceful setting. I was excited when they brought out hot stones for the pedicure. That was a great touch after they used body scrub on my legs. They did a beautiful job on my toes and fingers and according to my mom who goes there often, their regular manicures last a minimum of two weeks! What a deal! I had an incredibly relaxing experience at this nail salon. I got a manicure and pedicure combination (next time I'll go on a Monday or Tuesday for their price special! - even without, the price was reasonable) The salon offered a wide selection of polish colors, including the newest OPI collection, to choose from. The nail technician took her time on my nails, and I felt pampered. Not only did she massage my feet and hands as usual, but she gave a short shoulder massage when she sat me in the drying station - which had drying fans for both the hands and feet. The color lasted about two weeks. Unfortunately, the salon sits toward the back of a strip mall with poor signage, so my friend who I met there passed first passed by the place. She had made us appointments, but I think that walk-ins are also available. Even though it's a little difficult to find, I think the experience at G Nails is worth the search. read more

I really love coming here. I used to jump from one manicure place to another, never thinking they were any different, but here at G View Nails, they are different. They know how to treat their customers. From the moment you walk in the door they greet you with a warm welcome. If you come more than once they will remember your name and make you feel at home. The nail techs are absolutely wonderful, kind and fun. The prices are reasonable (be sure to check them out on Mondays and Tuesdays for the special priced Manicure/Pedicure). They operate with the same practices that you will find at high end spas, except they are not snotty at all and the prices are awesome. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I went to G-View nails with my whole family for manicures. My mom had a shellac manicure, my sisters had manicures and I did a no-chip manicure. The people are so nice and the facility was very clean but the quality of the work was poor. I was not impressed with the way my nails were done which felt rushed and chipped within three days. I am including photos. Lastly, although they said I could come back to fix them, I preferred to be refunded as I did not have time to return for it and nor did I want to return again. They were combative about it and could not accept that my nails were chipped and peeling. Unfortunately, I will not return. If you're a nail salon and can't perform the most basic functions and are not willing to own up to your work, then you don't deserve my business. read more

No chip does not mean you can do construction work and expect them to stay flawless. I have never had an issue. fantastic job! I am used to places charging 30 dollars for a pedicure, so I was not put off by that, but I was rather impressed by how much extra they do. You obviously have the great pedicure experience but they also do a little bit of hot stone massage on your feet and legs, they offer you tea or coffee, and then a fantastic spine-chilling shoulder massage when you are getting dry. They also put these adorable half-socks on your feet which I thought was a nice treat, on top of the great massage chairs when you're getting the pedicure. I've been coming here for a few years now and have had nothing but great experiences. The staff is always friendly and professional. I go for the mani/pedi special on Mondays and Tuesdays because its a good deal. The technicians are always very thorough and my (regular) manicures always last for a good 6-7 days before they start to chip (pedi's last a good 2-3 weeks). I happened upon G View this past winter in desperate need of an eyebrow and lip wax (if I don't go regularly I turn into Chewbacca). They were so nice when I got there and it was exceptionally clean! I literally felt like I was at a spa in Los Angeles again. So, I decided to try them for a mani/pedi. OH MY GOODNESS! I was not disappointed! I usually go to Christie. She is my favorite, but all of the techs are good, very nice, and already know me by name! I recommend this salon to all of my friends and I absolutely REFUSE to go anywhere else for a mani/pedi. This is the only place I'll go for mani/pedis now. While it's not the cheapest, you get your bang for your buck. The salon is always spotless, the ladies are friendly and professional (they don't talk with each other in front of you & they help each other out with cleanup as the appointment progresses), they always offer tea/water, the pedicure includes a hot stone massage, there's a brief chair massage at the end, AND they have those stamp cards for a free service. I go here religiously in the summer for pedicures. I have never gotten a manicure, but I have gotten an underarm wax in addition to the pedicures. The thing I love most about this place is the cleanliness. It's evident when you walk in that they follow the proper protocol to clean and sanitize their tools and equipment. They have a large selection of colors to choose from too. Pedicures are $30, but on Mondays and Tuesdays they have $35 mani-pedi special. I would suggest calling for an appointment. I have had to leave a few times when they couldn't fit me in as a walk-in. I even had a pedicure chip a day or two after I had gotten one at G View Nails and I went back to get the chip fixed. They patched it up, no problem and no charge. I left out one star for the massages. I have to agree with some other reviewers. Upon completion of the pedicure, you walk to the drying table and get a massage while drying. My massages have varied, some were great, others painful. My underarm wax was great. No complaints there. I think the fee was about $12 or $15. I will continue to go here for my pedicures due to the cleanliness of the facility, which is my biggest concern when getting spa-like services. read more

Very nice and accommodating ladies here. I called at 6 to see if they had anything and that I was 15 minutes away and they said come on in even though they close at 7. Very polite, treated me like a guest, took my coat, got me a delicious lemon decaf tea and tripped over themselves to help me feel comfortable. I got a very good manicure and pedicure and the stone foot massage was awesome. I will come back, especially with more time to spare,to really be able to enjoy the experience. read more

As a somewhat regular customer of this nail salon, I am sort of surprised by some of the low ratings and comments below. Take them in stride, as I believe they are isolated incidents. I find the people here to be very friendly. Availability has always been very good for me - I almost always can get in within an hour's notice. Service is not 100% - I have had one or two poor pedicures, so it depends on the technician, like most places. I say, find one you like and stick w/ her. Give it a try - it's one of the best in town, in my opinion. And the neck massages - I see another reviewer recommends against them. She did my french tip extremely uneven, she only put one coat of the top light pink color, and you could not even see it. I come here when I know every other place is packed because there is always something available. $45 for a mani/pedi is pretty expensive, especially for glenview. Top notch salons are that amount. I gave this review 1 star due to availability. HOWEVER - I have had a kink in my neck for about a week and just realized it was from the chair massage. If you go here, ask for no massages (anywhere). Pedicure Massage - she used oil on my legs, which was kind of weird. Also, it hurt a lot and was not at all enjoyable. Manicure - Not bad, warm lotion which felt nice but it was much too short. Chair massage while drying - AWFUL. NEVER get this. It is painful and I have spoken to other ladies who have been injured from chair massages that were done by a non professional. If I am going to be paying $45 for a manicure/pedicure, I will be taking my business to places that do not leave me sore for days after. read more

It chipped within couple days and completely came off before I returned home( one week), I went in to them first thing Monday morning and the owner accused me of doing something wrong with my nails. Everyone was really nice and made sure that I felt comfortable. Usually I go to whatever nail salon that I see but will stick to this one from now on. I was a regular customer at this salon on an every 2 to 3 week basis. I would always get the no chip manicure which is double the price of a regular manicure. Everytime I would come in for a manicure I would get a punch card which I was told was good for a free manicure. Finally my punch card was filled so I gave it to the owner and she said that this is only good on a regular manicure. NO where on this card does it say you can't use it towards the no chip manicure. The owner who did my nails knows I only come in for the no chip not a regular manicure but she would non the less keep punching this card. I assumed that I would be able to use it for one free no chip manicure. She she said no so I left without tipping her. G View Nail salon is not the only salon in Glenview doing no chip manicures. I have been to every salon in Glenview and this is the best by far. I no longer hop around or head to the spot with a Groupon. Been coming here for 2 years now and love it. They serve you awesome tea, do a thorough job on both hands and feet and finish every service with a quick tension-relieving massage. One review says "my nails were smudged by the time I got home." I used to love this place. They do a beautiful job and the atmosphere is relaxing. The past THREE times I have been there, the owner has been rude. I just left because as I was deciding on what services I wanted she said to just pick colors because I was taking too much time. I was there less than 3 minutes and It was 430 on a Wednesday (not the most hopping time for a nail salon). There were 6 staff members and me in the whole salon. This is the third time that she's been too busy -- last time she hastily rushed my tech on my pedicure because she was backed up. I am very disappointed because I love this place. I just won't pay to have my nails done if they Are going to turn their shop into a mill. I was driving by and called this place few minutes ahead to see if they have availability, I was asked my name and told to come because they're available. There were 3 nail techs finishing off clients and 2 ladies ahead of me. No one said 'Hi' when I walked in or checked whether I was the one who just called. I waited good 10 minutes, before one of the nail techs was able to talk to me. Once she got started on removing my no chip mani, she said that it was very hard to get it off... She cleaned it 'the best she could' but did not get the nail polish off completely on the side of the nails. Since I got brown color on before and changed to light pink, the old color is visible. I was hoping that she would fix it later, but it turned out that she didn't notice... On top of that she did a horrible job cleaning my cuticles and cut me couple of times while doing it.
