Our garage door spring recently broke, and since I was out of town at the time, another family…read moremember called Neighborly to fix it since we had used them before. But when I got home, I saw two items on the bill that gave me legitimate concerns... 1) They did some hinge/panel repairs but charged us more than 7x as much as they had two years ago when they did the same repair, and 2) They charged us to replace all 10 of the working door rollers when they had already replaced them all some years ago with a lifetime warranty, and so these should have been free. I contacted the owner five times over the following weeks to try and discuss my concerns, but he ignored me each time by either not responding at all to my phone and email messages, or by telling me he would check into it, and then not call back. He finally responded after my fifth attempt, with a voicemail message saying that the deal was agreed to by a family member of "legal age" and that's all that mattered, but I could call him back if I wanted. So I did the next day since he still hadn't addressed my specific concerns. Unfortunately on that call he not only had NO interest in listening to, much less addressing my concerns, but never in my life have I had a business owner treat me with such rudeness, antagonistism and unprofressionalism as the owner did on that call The entire experience made it very clear to me that is not the kind of person or company I ever want to do business with again.
