Geoff was especially wonderful to me (only because Katie wasn't there as much when I was!) and was wonderfully helpful when we were looking at the options for my trade in. He was honest with me and fair and helpful, especially when I needed his help with my lack of experience in manual transmission. He was only unable to passenger seat drive because he was the only one there when I arrived. I had a great test drive and he had most paperwork ready when I came back so we could get the ball rolling. We had already talked about the cash offer, so he was NOT pushing me to a sale. We had already discussed and accepted loose terms. After the test drive I left the lot and unfortunately the radio system stopped working but when I came back for an unrelated issue (accidentally left their plate in the car I bought and I was brining it back) both Katie and Geoff genuinely poured so much effort into trying to figure out where the sound went. When Geoff finally found a problem and called it, he gave me a name of a specialist and told me we'd work it out and I believe them. I'll keep the review updated too. When I called the audio place, they even offered to call G5 directly to work it out but I told them to wait and we'll figure it out. Overall I'm very pleased, and as an added bonus, Geoff backed up my car so it was pointed straight at the exit so I could pull straight out. They really did try to fix my problem. 8/14 8/22 ; I have the appointment with their audio person to fix the radio and they're helping me and are being nice enough to get it working again. The only thing that I had to get fixed on my boy right away was a tire that got a nail in it which wasn't their fault at all. There just is a lot of construction in the area. They've answered my (silly at times) questions and even Katie reached out when she hadn't heard if I'd gotten the radio fixed. Wonderful folks. Official two week report; Well... used cars sometimes do used car things. That's not their fault though. They set me up with the audio, so I didn't have to spend even more money to get him working with good audio. The only thing that wasn't set up was a subwoofer so my audio doesn't sound great but I know it was a nightmare just to get it to working. They didn't need to set me up and did anyway. BUYER BEWARE: I bought a 2018 Ram 2500 for nearly $30,000 from G5 Auto Sales in order to pull my camper (camper weighs 6,000lbs dry). The VERY FIRST time I pulled the camper, the truck went into limp-in mode. When driving without the camper, however, everything looked normal - you couldn't tell that anything was wrong. I took the truck into the mechanic and was told it needs a new transmission. This was before the FIRST PAYMENT on the truck was ever made - less than 90 days out from purchase. I talked with Geoff from G5 Auto and he explained that the timing must be coincidental and they couldn't help me. I asked if the dealership expected their cars (especially ones sold for $30,000) to last until the first payment. His answer was essentially, "no." Buying from G5 Auto is, in his words, "a gamble." No help was offered. G5 Auto will not be a place I will return or recommend. read more

The business is family owned and operated and really nice folks to work with. My husband was looking for a used truck and started his search online. After some online shopping he ran across G5 Auto Sales. He found a vehicle he liked, the price was almost where it needed to be, so he went to kick the tires and test drive the truck. The address and phone number are both on their website and the location was easy to find. It's a no pressure and no real negotiating prices kind of place. I was looking a 2014 Subaru, made an offer on it, and the lady Katie I was talking to got Immediately rude with me and said the price is firm, and begun the talk down to me. Said they don't haggle, the pricing is set. Which is funny since other reviews on cars dot com say they negotiated on price. I found out why, it's because the bank still has the title. At this point I was dealing with jaye, because I still wanted it. When I found out they weren't even in Possession of the title I declined to purchase and he went off on me, said I was too stupid to know how to buy a car and told me to go F myself and hung up on me. These guys talk a good game and certainly have beautiful cars on the lot. But they pretty up their inventory and don't have it inspected by certified mechanics. I bought a 2008 Jeep Wrangler from them, and within a month I had multiple engine lights and discovered that parts of the vehicle were rusted beyond repair. My fault for not checking it before making the purchase, but if you see a car you like at G5 be sure you go over it with a fine-tooth comb and get it looked at by someone you trust. read more

Save your time, the competitive pricing isn't worth the drive with all the mechanical issues! I drove from the southside of Indianapolis to look at 2 Buick Enclaves, one white FWD and the other black AWD with DVD system one year older (both similar mileage and price). Considering they looked great online and had good reviews, figured I'd run by after work to look at both. When arriving I met the finance manager (I can't recall his name), and explained I wanted to look at both vehicles. Being it was late I only had time to look at one (black AWD with DVD system) however did get an opportunity to test drive. Drove great, looked great on the inside (just normal wear and tear). However when I got back I looked underneath and noticed oil leaking near the front end of the vehicle between both front tires. Considering, I went inside and told the finance manager there was a leak hoping they might fix it (as I really liked the vehicle and how it drove, especially for the price!). He immediately said no as there was no leak, stating all vehicles undergo a detailed inspections to assure there are no problems. I assured him there was, but he continued to disagree. Instead of arguing I let him know I'd be interested in coming back to look at the newer model. At that time we chatted for a good 20 minutes, and before I walked out I asked if he got a chance to look at the vehicle I brought in (09' civic). He said he did, however not completely but did notice the idle ran extremely rough stating something must be wrong. Concerned, I told him I'd get it checked out as it was just in for an oil change. Before finishing my sentence he interrupted asking where, I stated CarX. He immediately said "oh, that's the worst place to take your car! That's like taking your car down the street to this tire place asking them to do an inspection," not realizing I just had the starter replaced as well as battery at Rudy's Automotive on the southside of Indy. I told him we have a mechanic as well only take the vehicle to CarX for oil changes, so we'll just have him check it out before I come back (as I wanted as much money on the trade as I could). When going back after getting my vehicle checked (which came back with no issues), I met Katie. I told Katie I had already looked at the black Buick Enclave and wanted to check out the white one. Test drove it, seemed great. Considering the oil leak on the previous vehicle I asked if I could run it by my mechanic, she said no problem and took Rudy's information. When getting it to Rudy's automotive 4 codes came back, I can't recall exactly however Rudy told me only the dealership could fix this problem and it potentially could run a group grand. Not to mention being it had 85k miles, it would need timing belt and or chains (I can't recall which or if both) which would cost another 1-2k in a year. So his advise was unless it was a steal, run unless they're willing to repair. Went ahead and took back to G5 explaining the codes including providing them (as it was apparent whomever is doing their inspections is obviously missing very obvious mechanical issues), asking once again if they'd be willing to repair. The finance manger came out and said "absolutely not," however Katie immediately interrupted saying she would have no problem getting someone to look at it and call us back once it was fixed. This was over 5 weeks ago, and neither vehicles are for sale to date which tells me more than likely they sold both vehicles knowingly to someone with problems. In today's society too many people are in debt, and this is the last thing someone needs when purchasing a new vehicle in hopes to better their life. It sickens me knowing there are people out there like this, willing to do anything to make a buck. I'd be embarrassed to own or be associated with this business!!!! Trust me, SAVE THE TIME AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! If the company or any employees are reading this, if you have any value or self respect FIND ANOTHER JOB where you don't have to lie to make money! I hope this review finds many, and saves them from the same hassle and lies we were told. Not to mention the rude finance manger which later stated he knew NOTHING about vehicles (as he joked he's been in financing for 20+ years)! read more
