My pup was 8-months old and her shyness coupled with her overall disinterest in food made her difficult to train. At puppy kindergarten she was the best behaved in the class - simply because she would emotionally shut-down from fear, and would just sleep peacefully at my feet. Trying to "buy" her cooperation with treats was fruitless as she had no interest in them. Leaving her with a boarding facility was not going to work well for my tender hearted girl. I contacted Janie and she was the perfect guardian and trainer for my puppy. 3-weeks later I came back to a different dog. She was far more secure about her place in the world, more trusting, and much happier. Janie's gentle manner in training - based in positive reinforcement and a lot of love - transformed my dog! I have assisted her in giving shots to some of her pups, and this organization does things right. They make sure the dogs are HEALTHY before adoption, which I know a lot of rescues are sheisty on, they follow up on the "after care" of the adopted pets, they do home checks and have a detailed application to make sure these pups will be taken well care of!!! She has even transported dogs from So Cal up here via other volunteers, and Chris has driven adopted dogs all the way to Oregon to be with their new families. As an RVT student, and having interned in vet clinics, dealing with the "Racism" of the Pit breed on a daily basis in my own work (I am a pet sitter and walk dogs, and several pit bulls..and the looks people give me you'd think I'd crapped on the sidewalk in public or something?!) Anyway- I HIGHLY recommend going through this rescue if you are looking for an organization and people who honestly just love dogs and are not in it for the money like many other organizations.

Tami is the kind of small business owner who genuinely loves what she does, and it shows in the way she interacts with each dog. I've brought four schnauzers to Tami over the years, and they have all been excited to see her every time we pull up to her shop. Sure, they might not be thrilled about the bath part, but they *love* Tami and that's a big deal in the dog grooming world! My parents used Tami for their dogs before they moved out of state, so she's been part of our family's routine for a long time. Tami is incredibly skilled and always ensures my dogs look and feel their best. She's reliable, friendly, and runs an exceptionally clean shop. You can really tell she has a special bond with the dogs she works with, and that's something that can be hard to find. We've sent many of our fur friends and even strangers who stop us in stores to her, and we would continue to recommend her without hesitation. It's bittersweet, though, because we recently learned she is beginning the process of retiring. While we're happy for her, we're really sad to think about finding a new groomer when she's fully retired. No one could replace her warmth, expertise, and the bond she's built with our dogs. I've attached pictures of my current miniature schnauzer - please excuse her non-flowy beard, it got a little messy after she got an opportunity to play Tami's mini! We've taken puppies & senior dogs to her, SPCA rescues & strays that we scooped into our lives. I still remember taking a stray found late August after running away from his first home probably after being traumatized during fireworks on July 4th. He was malnourished & felt matted, so much so that he couldn't raise his back leg to do his necessary business. Tami was called & she immediately stopped what she was doing & clipped him down to bare skin! Oscar was our love muffin that blossomed into the best companion for my mom during her later years. I have an easy heart bringing my best fuzzy friends to her as I know they will be loved & professionally groomed. She has a great sense of humor & is very straight forward in her guidance to me caring for my pups!

I rescued a Queensland Blue Heeler back in Feb 2009. Bolt as he is now called was just about 2yrs…read moreold. He seemed to be very skiddish and attached to his shelter mom. He had some trauma having lost his humans in a car accident. But he was darn cute and I was hopeful for a good match. Well the long story short, he escaped for the first 12+ hours and fortunately was recovered unharmed. It was at that time I contacted Kris and she gave me an immediate list of what to get at the pet store. 40ft line, collar, 6ft leash, crate etc. She said I will meet you at your house in a couple hours. In the meantime have him meet your other dog in the backyard for the first meeting. Neutral territory. Well I was kind of scared to even have him off leash having had escaped the day before. Kris came over and what I would describe as the "Dog Whisperer" moment immediately took charge of "Bolt" While he was surely not used to being told what to do. She started making progress quickly. She had me model some of her commands and corrections. She made it seem simple. The first session was several hours. By that time Bolt was getting submissive. She left me with a check list of the Do's and Don'ts and told me about consistency. She said I had a great breed and he will be a great dog. He is smart and wants to please, but I need to assert myself and be the Alpha. She also assured me I would have him off leash and he would be running with me in a very short time. Well let me tell you another session and Bolt was really shaping up into the dog I hoped for. He is so smart and loving and loyal. A good listener and an awesome runner going 26 miles!!! I could not have done this without the training that Kris Morin, FabDogz has provided Bolt. He is proud to be a FabDogz graduate!!

Miko tore his ACL in his back left leg. I booked the appointment over a month ago because they are…read morebooked out. so before Even arriving they got Mikos name wrong on his profile. They also require a $100 deposit. I called back a few days later because I made an appointment at a different animal rehabilitation center for Miko that had much sooner availability. They told me that a refund was out of the question in a very stern way. When me and Miko walked in the building on the inside, it looked clean and quiet. I appreciated the fact that there was no wait once we got there. Me and Miko get put into a room and the vet had either the flu or a cold. And to be honest really shouldn't have been working. the young woman who was helping her was much less sweet to Miko than the other assistants were at the other rehabilitation center. The entire time he was there I don't think the assistant gave him one pet. I found that extremely weird but she did have a professional attitude. while we were there, they called my vet to get access to Miko's pet records. they were starting to review them as I was in the room, which I also felt just wasn't up to par. I think that they should've reviewed his records prior to us arriving that way I didn't have to sit there while they shifted through old records. Most of what I was being told, I had already talked about with the other physical rehab center, which I had already mentioned to them, and so they told me majority of my appointment would be red light therapy and some exercise. That wasn't really the case. I will say that it was relieving and gave me peace of mind to know that They didn't find anything out of the ordinary when evaluating him. when the assistant did do the red light therapy she seemed like she was in a rush, not kind, not warm not affectionate just doing her job. Miko was clearly feeling a little shy and she really didn't have much sympathy for it. anyways I'm glad I went but I have no intention of coming back. Please consider before going here that everything that they are going to tell you, including exercises can be done at home. This is really only worth it if you don't have the bandwidth or ability to do very simple exercises with your dog at home. The only actual benefit or difference That is here is the red light therapy and the underwater treadmill. Even the written report for Miko was a pretty generic.

When we first started taking him here I was worried that he wouldn't like it and would feel like we were abandoning him, but his excitement has put my mind at ease and it feels like we're giving him a treat when he comes in. The team here is really friendly and they're helpful over the phone and in person when you're scheduling appointments or picking up/dropping off. They even provided a little daycare recap the last few times we've visited with notes about what he was up to, friends he made, and even snacks he enjoyed. It's nice to get a report card of the day that reinforces the fun he had. They do fun activities with the dogs and offer seasonal fun as well. Their social media page is a fun peek into what your dog experiences there and I love seeing their posts and checking on the live cameras while my dog is visiting.

I used to genuinely love this place, which is what makes this experience even more disappointing…read more I called ahead asking for a partial groom (face only) and a bath because my dog was scheduled for oral surgery in two days and I didn't want to put her through the stress of a full groom right before surgery, plus she didn't need it.. her body hair was short. I was quoted $45 over the phone. When I arrived, I personally spoke with the owner/manager (I believe) while waiting to drop Riley off. In casual conversation, I explained exactly why I was only requesting a face trim and bath, and shared that I was already under a lot of stress and paying thousands for my dog's upcoming oral surgery in just two days. So when I left, I then received a text saying: "Hi there! My apologies, but I misquoted you over the phone. The total for Riley today will be $60." It instantly went from $45 to $60... AFTER i left. It felt incredibly disappointing and honestly insensitive. At that point, the manager was fully aware of my situation. She had the opportunity to handle this professionally and compassionately by simply honoring the quoted price for that visit and clarifying updated pricing for future appointments. Instead, the price was increased after my dog was already left in their care, which put me in an uncomfortable position and felt like a complete mishandling of the situation. Because I wasn't comfortable paying $60 for a bath and simple face trim, I told them to skip the trim entirely and just do the bath. Their own sign advertises baths fit small dogs, $35. When I picked Riley up, I was still charged $50 for just a bath on my 13 lb maltipoo with barely any hair . For additional context: I used to pay around $75 for a full groom, and now a full groom is $90. I understand businesses raise prices. That's not really the issue. The issue was the lack of transparency, poor communication, and the way this was handled despite knowing I was already navigating a stressful and expensive medical situation with my dog. After 12 years of loyalty, this experience was enough for me to walk away. Just a heads up to other customers: if you're quoted a price, I'd recommend confirming it again before leaving your pet there.

We have had…read more3 sessions with Nick, owner of Consistent K9, and what huge difference we already seen in our Houla (often known as Houlagans because boy do they test you). Now, our Houla has gone through basic obedience training a while back and knows commands, but just is a bit "independent" at times and it can be challenging. Nick was able to guide us on how to train our Houla, using verbal commands, non- verbal hand commands, available tools, and his vast experience. I swear he is a dog whisperer. Please remember, YOU have to do the work too. You cannot expect anyone to train up your dog and not put in the required effort to maintain and reinforce the training. We have been guilty of that in the past too. No more though! Our desire is to have a well trained k9, who consistently follows commands and is a valued part of our family pack. We believe in Nick to much that 1) we will enroll our Houla in additional programs Consistent K9 has to offer and 2) have already refused to be poached by another trainer! We are so pleased with how the training is going and with Consistent K9. Thank you Nick!!

I've had dogs my whole life but I've never seriously trained them. I've regretted that and this…read moretime around, I decided I would do some kind of real training, for both myself and my new dog (Husky/German Shepard mix, rescue from SSPCA). I found Nick (ConsistentK9) online. He had a lot of experience and great reviews so I thought, let's do this! I signed up for the 10 week program. Wow am I glad I did! Nick is a natural with dogs and makes it all look so easy, and with Mika being a high energy, smart, pushy pup, I thought Nick had his work cut out for him. Not for Nick. She loved him and responded well to him. Just as important, Nick is also great with people and communicates very well, helping you learn and understand what you're doing (or not doing) without rubbing you the wrong way. He's great to work with and a real pleasure to learn from. The techniques and methods I learned from Nick are priceless! My program was not only about training Mika, but also me. The skills Nick taught me I will continue to use as I work with Mika over the next few months and years. I highly recommend Nick and Consistent K9!!

Not only did they do a horrible job but they cut his skin on his underbelly!! Kathy is THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL business owner ever!! Badmouthing her competition, who is right next door, Sheldon Groomers!! DON'T CONFUSE THE TWO, they couldn't be more different!! The sign...."Kathy is back"....MUST be a warning!!
