Our dog loves this spot so much that the second he knows we're coming here he gets super excited, and the moment we let him out of the car he's pulling us inside and ready to head back to spend time with friends. When we first started taking him here I was worried that he wouldn't like it and would feel like we were abandoning him, but his excitement has put my mind at ease and it feels like we're giving him a treat when he comes in. The team here is really friendly and they're helpful over the phone and in person when you're scheduling appointments or picking up/dropping off. They even provided a little daycare recap the last few times we've visited with notes about what he was up to, friends he made, and even snacks he enjoyed. It's nice to get a report card of the day that reinforces the fun he had. They do fun activities with the dogs and offer seasonal fun as well. Their social media page is a fun peek into what your dog experiences there and I love seeing their posts and checking on the live cameras while my dog is visiting. read more

I used to genuinely love this place, which is what makes this experience even more disappointing. I called ahead asking for a partial groom (face only) and a bath because my dog was scheduled for oral surgery in two days and I didn't want to put her through the stress of a full groom right before surgery, plus she didn't need it.. her body hair was short. I was quoted $45 over the phone. When I arrived, I personally spoke with the owner/manager (I believe) while waiting to drop Riley off. In casual conversation, I explained exactly why I was only requesting a face trim and bath, and shared that I was already under a lot of stress and paying thousands for my dog's upcoming oral surgery in just two days. So when I left, I then received a text saying: "Hi there! My apologies, but I misquoted you over the phone. The total for Riley today will be $60." It instantly went from $45 to $60... AFTER i left. It felt incredibly disappointing and honestly insensitive. At that point, the manager was fully aware of my situation. She had the opportunity to handle this professionally and compassionately by simply honoring the quoted price for that visit and clarifying updated pricing for future appointments. Instead, the price was increased after my dog was already left in their care, which put me in an uncomfortable position and felt like a complete mishandling of the situation. Because I wasn't comfortable paying $60 for a bath and simple face trim, I told them to skip the trim entirely and just do the bath. Their own sign advertises baths fit small dogs, $35. When I picked Riley up, I was still charged $50 for just a bath on my 13 lb maltipoo with barely any hair . For additional context: I used to pay around $75 for a full groom, and now a full groom is $90. I understand businesses raise prices. That's not really the issue. The issue was the lack of transparency, poor communication, and the way this was handled despite knowing I was already navigating a stressful and expensive medical situation with my dog. After 12 years of loyalty, this experience was enough for me to walk away. Just a heads up to other customers: if you're quoted a price, I'd recommend confirming it again before leaving your pet there. read more

The haircut was very uneven all over, including the legs, face, above the eyes, ears and behind. Will likely not return for grooming. People were nice but I had to call to see when my dog was ready. I cannot recommend Cha Cha's highly enough. My dog, Penny, has been going to daycare for a couple of years now, and I continue to be impressed with the staff's enthusiasm and care for my girl. The minute she realizes where we're going, she'll start her happy vocalizations in the car, and as soon as we arrive, she is DRAGGING me through the front gate to go play with her friends. Something I really love about Cha Cha's is that the staff doesn't just sit there and observe the dogs - they actively engage with them - enrichment activities, snuggles, etc. It makes my heart so happy to see my pup so happy there. For me, having separate spaces for big and little dogs is a huge plus, as Penny is very nervous around high-energy/boisterous big dogs. The staff really goes above and beyond to make sure every dog is comfortable and well-taken-care-of. In addition to daycare, I've also used Cha Cha's boarding services and more recently, their grooming services, and have been really happy with all of it. While these services aren't "cheap," everything is priced competitively/reasonably and frankly, the care your dog will get is worth ten times what you're charged. And I feel good about supporting a small business that gives back to its community, supporting many of the same groups and organizations that I do. We found Cha Cha's daycare and grooming two years ago after looking online for reviews. We have two dogs--a mini bernedoodle and an English springer spaniel. They both come home sweet-smelling, squeaky clean and expertly groomed and cut. We brought our dog back here today for a bath and quick trim with nail filing. I was able to book the appointment last Thursday for a Monday appt which was great because with our regular groomer, we have to book ahead months in advance. This time we didn't get any updates or pictures though so I'm not sure if that was just a special first-time thing with our first visit last year. We do appreciate that they are super quick here though. Our dog was ready for pickup within an hour! It makes it really easy for us to go do something else nearby and then come back to pickup before we drive all the way home to Elk Grove. I used to love this place. This was the only place that I would take my baby to for two years. I am writing this review three months later, because I'm still dwelling on this upsetting issue. Unfortunately the last time that we went, we had a new groomer, she wasn't understanding anything that I was saying and she ended up hurting him. He had cuts all over the bottom of his stomach (assuming from the shears). He has a double-coat, and I could tell that it was rushed by the way his fur looked all choppy, bottom line.. I didn't even want to take him out in public because it looked absolutely horrible and it was embarrassing. His face was cut uneven. I told her to not touch his eyelashes and they ended up being chopped off, so now they are growing straight down in to his eyes. On top of all of that, he ended up getting a really bad ear infection because his ears were not dried all of the way... If you own a doodle or any baby with floppy ears, you know that having the under part of their ears dried all the way is a BIG deal and NEEDS to happen. I'm so disappointed and so upset that I've spent so much money at this place, and my baby just got rushed out of there. I didn't expect to take my poor boy to the vet after the groomers. We love Cha cha's doggy daycare. The staff provide quality care for our girls and I'm always greeted with welcoming smiles. They really know our dogs and manage the group dog dynamics skillfully. Not an easy job. I use the daycare and boarding services and I know my dogs are well cared for and engaged. I've also been using the grooming service, which is amazing. I love that I can drop them off for a fun day of "play" care and get them groomed during the day. At a grooming only service sometimes my dogs would sit in a cage for several hours waiting for services. Cha cha's makes it so easy and my girls are much happier. I'm much happier too. If I have a sudden situation where I need daycare they have helped me out and I am very grateful. I was excited to bring my puppy to her 1st appointment at Cha Chas. The excitement was short lived. The front desk staff was welcoming and very appropriate. 4 stars to them. After I picked up my 4 month old Doodle mix I was not happy. Her coat was dull, diffently not conditioned, but I thought maybe because she's a puppy they held the conditioner. I left Cha Chas and off we went. As I was running my hands over my baby girl I noticed blunt cuts on her head, chin, and back of the legs. I pulled over and took a closer look at her face and one side was cut way shorter then then other side, and above one eyebrow I could almost see skin. I called Cha Cha's and explained my disappointment with the groomer. I was told the manager would give me a call and they sympathized with me. I never received a call back. After being home, my Maddie girl is biting at the cut hair on her hind legs which is red and irritated. The lack or response or care for the client, Baby Girl Maddie, and myself as the customer is dismissive, uncaring, and giving IDGAF. If negative stars was an option it would have been chosen. If you choose Cha Cha's wait to see your dog before you give a tip. read more

Cha Cha's is GREAT! Our 16 month old Poodle boy, Sebastian, loves his time in daycare making friends. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and patient with him (and us). I really like that the staff are very involved in activities with the dogs, and I love getting the occasional craft that Sebastian has made (particularly the nose prints!) when I pick him up at the end of the day. If I could give zero starts I would. I took my golden doodle in for a grooming service and the groomer was Julie . Before booking I asked if they do doodle cuts and they informed me that they did. My doodle had little to no matting and Julie right off the bat walked out and told me it was going to be a buzz cut. She didn't even touch him or inspect his coat she immediately resorted to a buzz cut. She was very rude and was not willing to understand my point of view with what I wanted from the grooming service. I showed her a picture of something similar that I wanted and without a thought she just shut me out so she was EXTREMELY rude. Also my dog is a very big people person and for some reason he did not want to get close to Julie. I went ahead and continued with the service and when I picked up my dog he looked horrible. Sure enough it was a buzz cut. When I got home my doodle was scratching all over his body and when I inspected him he had little cuts all over his body from the grooming and to top it off, he got an ear infection two days later when he had NEVER had one. Such a poor grooming place and customer service. Save your time and go somewhere else. AVOID JULIE at all cost horrible customer service. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOODLES HERE !! read more

Julie is absolutely incredible and extremely talented in the area of precise grooming and my Pom Karl has never looked like a million bucks! Julie is patient, loving, and accommodating of Karl's trachea issues as well as taking the rising temps into consideration. Karl loves no-one, but trusts being in Julie's care for a bath and cut when needed! The staff is also very friendly and accepting as well as reassuring Karl's needs as a senior, will always be met! Prefer to give no stars! They didn't tell me until they took my dog back that there's a 38.00 fee for the interview. The 38.00 could go for boarding. I stayed outside, but he knew I was still there and wanted out. This was a little frustrating to say the least. Not sure I'd recommend this facility. Unfortunately my regular person gave me one day's notice of not being able to watch him after all. This is a big trip that I'm in charge of! Oh well live and learn.... Always have a backup!! All this review can speak to is their customer service and grooming facility. My dogs have not spent any time at their daycare. With that being said, I was very pleased with the level of care and professionalism shown to me and my fur babies. I called on a Saturday afternoon inquiring about the next available grooming appointment for two large, long-haired great Pyrenees puppies. They were able to fit us in the very next morning at 11 AM. I dropped my puppies off at 11 AM and was told it would take two hours or longer. I had plenty of things to do and errands to run so I did not mind having the puppies out of the way. I was surprised when I called almost 5 hours later at 4 PM to find out they were just finishing up. Like I said, I was not upset since I had plenty to do but merely surprised that it took so long. When I picked up my fur babies they were absolutely gorgeous - not that they weren't before. But their fur was silky smooth and they looked like movie stars! They did a wonderful job bathing, brushing, de-matting, and clipping their nails. I snuggled with my babies all afternoon. Given their size, both are over 100 pounds, and they're tremendous amount and length of fur, I was pleased with the price. But I was also pleased to find that they are currently running a special discount on weekend grooming services. Who doesn't love a good discount?! The next time my fur babies need a good grooming, I know who I will turn to. read more
