Michelle (and team) take great care of our 80 lb rough collie. He goes on an adventure once a week and loves every minute of it. Sometimes they go to the park, some days the river and some days it is just a play group in the back yard. They do a great job - and provide text updates, sometimes with photo and video. I had a session with a trainer this last week and I highly recommend this business. I rescued a dog from the shelter that had been living the first 2 years of his life in a crate, outside totally neglected. He was almost impossible to walk. Pulling, jumping, crossing in front of me but the very worst was the barking incessantly at other dogs and sometimes people. After an hour and a half of training he was able to walk in front of the dog park without barking. No punishment was used in training him. He is an absolute joy to walk now and behaves perfectly. Michelle has been taking care of our dog whenever we go out of town for over a year now. I didn't want to leave our dog at a place where he would be stuck in a crate all day, so when I heard about Michelle I was so happy. She takes care of our dog as if he were her own. Not only does he get plenty of time to play and socialize, but Michelle always teaches us a handful of new techniques to work on with our little dog whenever we pick him up. Every time our dog sees Michelle he gets so excited, non stop tail wagging. YES! Amazing puppy trainer. Michelle spent two hours with us the weekend of Christmas, teaching us all that we needed to know to acclimate a new puppy to our family. We didn't want to wait for training classes to address some of the immediate puppy issues, and the internet was full of conflicting advice. Michelle patiently answered all our questions and put us very much at ease in training this new little friend. When she left we felt confident, peaceful and knowledgeable. All her instructions were simple to follow and have resulted in a really positive, fun experience which we've been consistently able to replicate. A couple hours with Michelle was WELL worth the science and compassion she had to share. Michelle is the female version of Cesar Milan. I was nervous leaving my chiweenie Taco for 5 days, but I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing that my dog was very well taken care of. She is very knowledgable about dog behavior, and she gives excellent advice for dog owners. My chiweenie is a typical chihuahua: barks at everything on walks, shakes when scared, and pulls constantly on a leash. I was always so embarrassed to walk him, until Michelle gave me great advice. He stayed with her this past week, and through videos she sent me, I was shocked he was walking in a pack with her as the leader and NOT barking or pulling. After I picked him up, I was amazed how well he was behaving with me. He has improved so much, but she gave me the confidence and tools to become a leader and better dog parent. Michelle was great! She did a home visit for my new puppy Darla who's a 12week French bull dog. She was very informative with her teachings and most of all didn't pressure us to spend more with her or to keep doing classes with Darla. She actually encouraged us to do further training on our own and showed us how easy it was. She even offered for us to feel free to contact her with any problems or questions we had. I had a professional trainer early on, but my dog was still poorly socialized with other dogs. Michelle is far more than just a dog walker. She is a trainer & knows the ins & outs of animal behavior. Every morning she takes Bandit & several other dogs out for off leash exercise & he comes home tired but happy. He will actually come when called - without treats! She & her staff also do pet sitting so bye-bye kennel the next time I travel. She is moderately priced and affordable.
