i travel 4.5 hours to see dr. yaber and his team and it's worth every second. i haven't been able…read moreto go to a dentist for years and i have a ton of problems so i was looking for someone that specialized in smile makeovers and after finding him on ig, we had a facetime consultation and then made my first appointment. a big part of what makes this place different is the people. his assistant maria did my intake questions and all of my x-rays. she took time to understand everything i was coming in with and made the x-rays with that awful plastic thing super easy and painless. yanisbel did my first deep cleaning there and i'll never go to anyone else again. i have really sensitive teeth and have been terrified for this part but i felt NOTHING. she checked in on me regularly because she knew i was nervous but that was by far the best cleaning i've ever had. my last visit was for a partial root canal on a tooth that dr. yaber is trying to save. first of all, lety gave me a blanket so once i was numb it was the comfiest i've ever been in a dentists office lol. i was also told by another dentist years ago that there was nothing that could be done and that this tooth needed to be pulled at some point, so i really appreciate dr. yaber even trying to save it. isa at the front desk has been amazing setting up all of my appointments, sending me reminders, and gave me great advice on insurance which was really helpful since this is all very new to me. i can't get over how sweet every single person in that office is. they really listened to all of my concerns and fears coming in, they go out of their way to make me feel comfortable every time i'm there, and dr. yaber cares more about my traveling than i do so he's really thoughtful when planning out my situation. we're still in the very beginning of everything that needs to get done but my mouth is already in such better shape. very thankful for dr. yaber and his team

Once I entered and saw the receptionist (black hair with glasses) screaming at an old man that…read moresimply needed help with understanding some of his charges and procedures I should have immediately left that place (already a red flag). Unfortunately, I did not, and waited there listening to this annoying receptionist, at some point I decided to wait outside until it was my turn. I was given a lot of paperwork that not even the receptionist could explain to me what were there for. (this were not the regular papers you fill out at the dentist). Their machines were so old that it took about an hour for the assistant to make the X-Rays (second red flag), then the hygienist came and told me I needed an "INTERMEDIATE CLEANING", thing that I never heard before in my life and I do cleanings every year. Then Dr. Elizabeth came and said about 2 words and did not even bother to explain anything to me. Lastly, another staff member came and said they wouldn't do the regular cleaning because I needed the "intermediate" which was $120. I told them I made the appointment for my annual check and regular cleaning and that was what I wanted to do. Again, they refused and the annoying receptionist was extremely rude to me because I decided not to do the cleaning they said. Today, one day later I went to Sage Dental Coral Gables and they did not even mention something about a deep cleaning, they did the X-Rays in about 10 minutes or less and immediately proceeded with the regular cleaning and then the Dr. was amazing and actually took the time to explain everything to me. Oh, and all paperwork was filled online and you wait in the car until it is your turn. I called about 10 different places and NONE of them knew about something called "INTERMEDIATE CLEANING" you are either a regular or a deep cleaning which requires anesthesia. Not my case since I floss every day and do cleanings regularly.
