This is a glowing review! I have used probably ten different carpet cleaners over the 35 years I have lived in this Valley Village apartment. None have been bad; some were better than others. But Gabriel is definitely the best and I will never even think of using anyone else. Here are the details. I found Gabriel Carpet Care doing a Google search. All reviews except for one were extremely positive so I thought I would give him a try. He returned my original call in ten minutes and told me he was in the area (this was on Saturday) and could come by in 30 minutes if that was convenient. And while he told me he would show up just for an estimate, unless I found his quote to be excessively high, I was hoping he would be able to perform the cleaning right away. Gabriel showed up in exactly 30 minutes as promised, gave me a detailed estimate which was more than reasonable and then he asked if it was convenient to do the cleaning now or if I preferred to set up a future time. I said "now" and now it was. He had a helper with him (most previous companies sent only one person) and he had industrial cleaning equipment with him, the kind management companies use when prepping a unit for a new tenant where the carpets must be really clean! They began working and did a very thorough job and were here for three and a half hours. Most previous cleaners were done in 90 minutes. Every area of the bedroom, stairs up to my office and then the office itself were meticulously cleaned. Now, if you have cats that occasionally throw up on the carpet, you know how annoying it is to see stains you haven't been able to completely remove. My carpet had some recent dark stains plus some older ones on light color Berber carpet dating back to 2000. I must say he did an excellent job on making those older ones virtually unnoticeable and a few recent "accidents" were visibly gone after he finished. When the work was done, the carpet was and smelled totally clean and he even mopped up the hardwood living room floor of any water drops from the cleaning solution. After completing the job, Gabriel asked me to check all his work before he left to make sure I was totally satisfied. This was what I would call a deep clean, more than previous carpet cleaners performed and this was done for $350 which was very reasonable. I am very happy! You will be too. Give him a call and you won't be disappointed. read more

When he came to clean the carpets, he totally changed the price I was quoted. Our carpet is fairly clean and we moved everything out of the way. Most of the rooms have beds and we told him that we did not expect any of the furniture to be moved. He tried to get us to do the deep cleaning and quoted a price of $600. When we told him that we just wanted to have the steam cleaning, he told us that the stains would not come out. (we have very few stains). He then told us that he would charge us $300 to steam clean which was $135 over what I was quoted. We told him no, and he said that we should then pay for his gas to come to our house. My husband paid him but I would not have and this business practice is pretty shady. I gave him 2 stars because he did respond to questions and was on time but 0 stars for his quote, which I had in writing! read more
