We went to the 4 Labs Brewing part of the farm. It was a really cool little building. Really well done. It was misting outside but not too cold. They had the garage door open. We enjoyed the beer, the atmosphere, and we even got to meet one of the labs. She was pretty wet, but we still gave her our love.

Amazing service and ambience. A wonderful, relaxed place to enjoy a sunny afternoon - tasty bites and sweet dogs help, too!

    Activities for July 2024

On a July afternoon with good weather you cannot beat it if you are in the mood for a glass of Michigan wine or beer. Hopefully you like dogs because the labs will come by and say hi! Service is so friendly and have a lot of information on their offerings. Lots of areas to sit and listen to music or enjoy the outside!

Def a "Must-Stop"! The view, the drink choices and the 4-labs just hanging out with you. Ultra Friendly, family run property...

This was one of our most favorite stops on our brewery tour. We loved it!!!! Everything about Gabriel Farms is adorable and they have fantastic beers and wine. We pulled up and were in awe of the property, it's absolutely beautiful. Getting out of the car, we were greeted by the most adorable dogs. You should have seen the smiles on our faces!!!! We love our furry friends. The dogs escorted us up the walkway to a huge building. We sat at the bar and grabbed our tagabrews. It was fun learning about the brewery. We decided to take our beers outside and enjoy the view from the rolling hills and the best part, we had a four legged companion who decided to sit with us the entire time. We can't wait to come back!

Lovely cozy stay. Too charming for words. The only suggestion I would make is to have an honor snack basket in the shared living area. Very clean, and well decorated room. The doggies were so friendly and well behaved! My daughter and I really loved our stay.

We enjoyed our visit on a chilly day in October. We were welcomed by the "welcoming committee", a few of the dogs that live at the farm. The dogs were well behaved and led us into the new tasting room. I tried the Goldie Girl but found it not dry enough for me. My husband tried the Rose, which he approved of. Many of the wines were named after the farms' dogs. Had we been in more of a drinking mood, I would have liked to try the ciders. We ordered a large warm pretzel to go with the wine. We'll save that for next time. the young lady manning the bar was delightful and knowledgable about the wines and the area. This would be an ideal spot for a wedding.

    Cute fall tables outdoors.

Beautiful spot!!! White wines are ok. Red wines are ok. Cider is served flat and warm. The gal serving today sad in over her head.

You will be transported through four or more wineries and get to interact on many levels. A couple wineries that stood out to me were Walloon Lake Winery and Petoskey Farms Wineries so be sure to ask to go there as the wines were really good and the people who make the wine were very accessible. Lunch is a part of the tour and Dave serves it at one of the wineries so you can enjoy a glass with lunch looking at breathtaking views. I couldn't imagine doing this tour and tasting so much wine on my own. Having a professional wine guide ensures that you can safely enjoy the wines without worrying about driving yourself! The price is affordable and the educational experience is worth it! I learned a lot of great info from Dave.

We received a goodie bag with a granola bar, trail mix, and a bottle of water and there was also cold meat/cheeses and a veggie tray to eat if we wanted them (we ended up getting lunch at one of the wineries, so cannot comment on the cold snacks, but the granola bar was tasty). The tour was well paced with 45 minutes to do a wine tasting at each winery. You could tell there was a lot of thought put into the order of the wineries, as the most educational was first and the most relaxing/best views was last. Also, one of the wineries we visited offered lunch and that came at just the right time as it had been a while since breakfast. Our driver, Jeff, was very personable and was able to give information on the different wineries and what they offered. The van seats up to 9, so you could rent it for a small group or drop in on a mixed tour (which is what we did). He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel, so we didn't have to worry about driving (which is good, because when you do four wine tastings in four hours, you drink quite a lot!).
