I see a couple negative reviews among all the positive ones and well, OK, their experiences are their own I suppose. But my experience over the last 15 years has been overwhelmingly positive. Dr. Yeung sits down with you before and after ever visit to carefully go over everything he's going to do or what he discovers. He and everyone who works there is friendly and professional and I've never had any issue either with his work or billing. I have two coworkers who have had the same positive experience with him and who originally recommended him to me many years ago. Honesty could go a long way to improve this practice! I was referred to Dr. Yeung by another dishonest dentist, doctor Vrej Shahmoradian. It appears these two are working together to upsell unsuspecting patients. I am new in town and when I went to doctor Shahmoradian for an initial visit and routine cleaning, I was told that I had serious gum disease, and he wouldn't even clean my teeth. He referred me to to Dr Jueng for periodontal, scaling and more. Dr Jueng told me the procedures that I would need not only included deep scaling, but perhaps bone grafting and maybe even dental implants. Alarm bells went off in my head because I am really diligent with my oral hygiene, flossing every day, etc., and go for regular cleanings. My previous dentist didn't alert me about gum disease, nor did I have any bleeding during cleanings I drove 2 hours back to my previous hygienist and dentist to get a second opinion. They told me my gums were FINE!! Dr Jueng was upselling me... I was frightened and worried how I was going to pay. Fortunately, I got a second opinion! I've been going to Dr. Yeung for years as a person who has unluckily genetically inherited gum disease lol. I've had a few gum surgeries and bone graft done with him and he's so great. Excellent bedside manner, as gentle as he can be, and calls you to check on you the evening after the procedure to make sure everything is okay. Front desk office staff is always amazing. He's super booked so get your appointments in for the year if you can. He's the best. read more

I was comfortable (most of the time) yes, low pain tolerance & bad experience as a kid.‍ Dr. G. Yeung is the best, imo. How awesome is Dr. Yeung? He called me to check on me, left me a voicemail that was very kind and caring. He does this for all his surgical patients. Best bedside manner, just like Dr. Orro. I got home ate onion soup, 4 otter pops later and Tylenol I was knocked out. I missed his call because I shut my phone down and went to sleep. Surgery was a success YES! I got gassed up, numbed up and thanks to the Tylenol, no pain at all. I'm 1 day post-op and zero pain, just in case I took a Tylenol this AM. If you have any type of surgery, No NSAID, like Motrin, Aleve and others because it'll cause more bleeding. Trust me cause, I've done it before‍. I try not to make such stupid mistakes more than once, I'm only human. I am so grateful for Dr. Yeung!!! I was a new customer, but I was treated like I was the most loyal. I had a late night emergency, and Dr. Yeung got back to me after hours. Thank god he did because he gave me home remedies to ease my pain and discomfort until morning. The next day I spoke with the office manager, Theresa, and she was fantastic!. She scheduled me for an emergency visit and got me in quicker than I expected. Let me tell you, I never thought I would see the day in which I was excited for a tooth to get pulled out. I have been going to Dr. Yeung for over Three Years, During one of my Surgeries he slipped and marked one of my back teeth. I was recently sent a bill appx. three months after the work was done. When I called about the charge I was told their "computer was down" thats why the late billing... down for three month's ???? His prices are high. I am beyond frustrated with this office. I have had two consults, the first at the beginning of 2019 and had a scheduled appointment for a bone graft and NEVER received and reminder call except for the day of. I was told then, it was going to be a little over $600 for the procedure and it was due that day..... canceled appointment. Flash forward to this year, had to be rescheduled due to covid and a broken water pipe in the office and had another consult. Made an appointment for 12/2/2020 to have the bone graft done and let them know to call me ahead of time for cost. Get to the day before and there's my reminder call, I had to call them back and ask for cost of the procedure..... over $700 this time for the same procedure and I have made sure not to use any of my dental insurance so it would cover more. I ask about payment plans because they did not call ahead of time so I can financially prepare and they said it is all due at the time of appointment... ridiculous, I will be taking my business elsewhere as they do not follow through with phone calls. read more

I had a bone graph procedure with Dr. Young. I asked to have my own bone harvested. Against my wishes Dr. Young put cadaver bone in me. This was no mistake I questioned him before he put it in. I am very upset and feel he has a total lack of ethics. After my procedure I started having problems with the two adjacent teeth. I had them checked and they now need to be extracted. I left a letter from this doctor at Dr. Yeungs office and told his secretary to have him call me. Dr Yeung never responded.I would not recommend him to anyone. The man is a crook. I originally went to Dr. Yeung because my regular dentist told me that I needed a periodontist to give me a surgical below- the-gum-line cleaning of all my teeth. This is done as four procedures as they do one quadrant at a time. The four surgical procedures were done, and everything was fine. But a couple of months later, I broke two teeth biting down on what I thought was ice cream, but turned out to be a chunk of ice. I went to Dr. Yeung and he advised extracting the roots of the two broken teeth. That would be followed by going back to my regular dentist to get a "flipper." (A device that can be slapped in and out of the mouth to provide a temporary replacement for the missing teeth.) Eventually, I would want to get dental implants replacing the missing teeth. So we scheduled the extractions. I was in the chair for about an hour and Dr. Yeung removed the roots of the two broken teeth. Then several days later I went to my regular dentist to get my flipper. I still had several hundred dollars left on my dental insurance allowance for the year, so the flipper should be covered. Or so I thought. But then my regular dentist told me that my dental insurance had been exhausted for the year. That did not make sense. So I did a little investigating. It turned out that Dr. Yeung had charged my insurance not only $500 for the extractions (no problem there), but he also charged my insurance an additional $1200 for doing a fifth quadrant cleaning procedure. Huge problem. A) I was never advised that we needed to start cycling through to get this four procedure series done again. B) I was not in the chair long enough to get anything more than the extractions done. C) I know what it feels like to get a surgical quadrant cleaning. It's a pretty involved process, and you have to later come back to get the stitches removed. I would have known if he was doing it. A FIFTH QUADRANT CLEANING WAS NEVER DONE. So on two occasions I went back to Dr. Yeung's office to confront him concerning his fraudulent billing. On both occasions the receptionist insisted that the billing was correct, and, no, I would not be allowed to speak to Dr. Yeung. "You need to leave." Like I said, this guy is a crook. read more

I would never go to anyone else in the Antelope Valley to have any perio work done. He explains everything he is doing very clearly and has the ability to make you feel at ease. My young daughter, 11 yr old, had to have an extensive gum graft done. I had heard horror stories about the painful aftermath. Lo and behold she was virtually pain free after the procedure. He has also performed gum flap surgery for my son with excellent results. His prices may be a little high but you get what you pay for. His staff is friendly as well.
