A new guy, Nathan Zaghi bought the place. He created a lot of fear about the "extremely large" space created by a failed implant from about 10 years ago. His quote was roughly $5,000 to fix it. Dr Stein had never recommended that, even from previous x-rays. Beware please, his go-to seems to be $5,000, or multiples of $5,000, even if not necessarily needed. He doesn't seem to care about anything but money, and I think he'll scare you into doing it. read more

I have visited five dental practices in Lancaster, and out of all of them, I found that this is the one. Very easy to talk to the front desk girls, and they were straight up with me. He wasn't all root canal crazy; he was confident in the doctor's skills and straight with me about treatment and Aftercare. Dr. Jeffrey Stein is amazing. He filled a deep cavity with gentle hands. I'm a new patient and I very quickly realized that the level of care I've been receiving at another local dentist office has been sub-par. I've since transferred my son's care here as well. DR. STEIN IS THE BEST! I don't know why I waited so long to see him. But I was hesitant to leave my Los Angeles dentist. When the drive to L.A. was finally too much, I made an appt with Dr. Stein. The hygienists and the other girls in his office are all so nice and considerate - much better than Cruella Deville in my L.A. dentist's office who was usually in a bad mood (or no mood!) and made me dread calling for an appt, not to mention calling with a legit question! Dr. Stein is incredibly well educated, he and the hygienists are extremely gentle, his other staff are very pleasant and his prices are more than fair. All of this and I only have a 10 or 15 minute drive to his office! I only wish I hadn't waited to make an appointment - he is better than my Los Angeles dentist! read more

Very disappointed to say the least. I am looking for a new dentist for us..... work was below par and he was unwilling/unable to correct it. The biggest smile was his, I feel betrayed by what was to be an honorable dentist. Knowing the work was sub-standard, he could have offered a refund with an apology. Mistakes can happen, but , smile and turn a blind eye? This had involved dentures that were terribly constructed. Dr. stein commented "They are for smiling, not eating (what ?). Just came n for my routine check up with Jeff. It is always a pleasure to have all my dental work done by him and his positive, professional and experienced staff. They always do what is needed and have never pushed me to do any work that I felt was unnecessary. It's nice having someone not trying to sell you on cosmetic stuff every visit. Doctor Stein and his staff are the best I have experienced, and I've had a lot of work done. He has that positive rockstar energy. His office is clean and his equipment state of the art. No more going to a separate room to do X-rays. They do them right in the chair you're sitting in. His time management is awesome. He will predict how long you will be there, and when he's finished. His prediction will be true. No overbooking. No waiting in the waiting room for 30 + minutes then waiting in the chair for another 15 min. Dr. Stein can look at your mouth and already know what's going on with your teeth before you even tell him. He inspires confidence and relaxes you through it all. The best is the way Dr Stein and his staff treats you. They treat you like you've been friends for awhile and not just like a number walking through the door. Dr Stein's energy is contagious and it rubs off on his staff. Finally I've found a dentist that I trust 100%. As long as Dr Stein is in the AV, I won't go anywhere else. If you want solid competent dentistry from a personable and friendly Doctor and his staff, this is the place to go for sure. (Edit) oh yeah.... I am a new patient and have been to a number of dentists over the years but for the first time, I felt truly at ease. From the moment I walked in I was greeted and felt comfortable and impressed with the impeccably clean office. I filled out my paperwork and sat for a moment until I was greeted by Claudia the hygenist. I was told by other dentists that I would need a deep cleaning at a cost of over $600 dollars. I was given a thorough exam by Dr. Stein and his dental assistant Angela and as it turned out that wasn't necessary saving me hundreds of dollars. I was given options and never felt pressured. The advice I was given by Dr. Stein was reasonable and the charges for my first visit were very affordable even though the needed xrays, cleaning and consultation. Claudia was extremely gentle, I have never had such an easy time in the chair, pain-free and professional. She gave me some instructions to avoid costly dental bills down the road. The office has a shared philosophy one of trust and preventative care, with the patient's care is a priority not money. He has been in business for over 30 years and has developed a large clientele but I felt like the only one there. Keep up the great work everyone. read more

His entire staff is friendly and helpful in making appointments or helping with insurance billing. Dr Stein remembers any personal concerns on issues we have and addresses them. I called this office based on the review here on Yelp after my husband was sent by 1-800 Dentist to probably the worst dentist in all of Lancaster (Family Dental on 10th St. in Lancaster). After being given an exhorbitant price for work they said needed to be done, I called Dr. Stein's office. They were informative, helpful and friendly from the first phone call. I have been going to Dr. Stein on/off for 20 years (the only time I did go is when I had an insurance he did not take). I have very good teeth and Dr. Stein is never trying to sell you/get something from you. I have been to others when I had other insurance and they always tried to find something (which I did not need). Dr. Stein is never try's to 'sell' you services you don't need. My husband has had very bad experiences with dentist and will only see Dr. Stein. He has been great in getting my husbands dental issues handled staying within what are insurance covers (limiting overage/out of pocket as much as possible). There is never a wait time, never; if your apt is at 10 you are seen sometimes earlier. They do your check up/teeth cleaning/work and get you on your way His office staff is amazing and dental hygienist are amazing and most of them have worked with him for years. I don't know what I will do if and when he retires because he is the only dentist I trust. He truly cares about his patients and does what is best for them! He and his staff are also great with kids! I can't recommend this office highly enough. Dr. Stein has been taking care of my son for a couple of years and I just went for my first checkup there myself. It has been waaaay too long!! From his answering service to his staff to he himself, I cannot express how impressed I have been within the two visits I have had there so far. Not only are they welcoming and professional.
