Really cute store with a ton of ice cream and chocolate products. I went at 8pm so some of the hard ice cream flavors were sold out but I decided on one scoop of ganache and one scoop of cookies and cream in a waffle cone. The flavors were creamy and very flavorful, some of my favorite hard ice cream I've ever had! I would definitely get both again and would be excited to come back and try some of the sold out flavors. I took a star off because it's pretty expensive for a smaller portion of ice cream (they're not very generous with their scoops), but I will definitely be back for more. read more

Ordered a kitty size and a large with whip cream and it was 15$ insane price for the sizes we were given. The ice cream was normal nothing special or exciting really but the real reason I'm doing this review is due to the service I received, two different employees were going back and fourth taking my order and it was so confusing. They both took my order separately like 6 times because they just wouldn't stay to wait to hear for my small order. Definitely gourmet ice cream and chocolates found here. This place is the bees knees if you like sweet treats!!! They must have at least 30 flavors of homemade ice creams and as well as an absolutely ridiculous amount of homemade chocolates and treats. If you like ice cream, there's no way you won't find a flavor here that you love. This is a specialty store and they give out free samples of their ice cream with a smile. You can watch them making ice cream in the back. They even have some non dairy based flavors. They have virtually all of their ice cream flavors in to go containers (quart size) and prices are very reasonable since it's made in house and is such high quality. If you order say chocolate chip, it's gonna be loaded with chips. Honestly, I wish I worked here. What else can I say? Candy and ice-cream is okay, marginally worth the price, but the owner is a bit of a mutton head I was with my brother who happens to be a Yelp elite reviewer; he had given his honest opinion that he liked the ice-cream even though it is not as creamy as SnoTop, Owner spots him from his profile pic and walks up to him giving a speech about how his ice-cream is "real" and SnoTop is not(by his opinion) - Owner spoke down to him and just plain rude. SnoTop advertises ice-cream, there is a department called the Food and Drug Administration that prevents businesses from false advertisements. To accuse a competitor of serving fake food is just a disreputable way of doing business It was completely in-appropriate for the owner to confront him this way about his honest review; my brother decided to change it in his efforts to support local businesses - my Brother is just too nice. Never been here but my sister recommended it. I love homemade hard ice cream. The place was so cute inside and decorated for Valentine's Day. The ice cream looked so good and many flavors to choose from. They offered free tastes which was so cool! I had a hard time choosing but went with maple walnut. It was a good size cone and fairly reasonable for homemade ice cream. I would have liked more nuts but the maple flavor was very good! If your in the area I recommend trying it! read more

I call ahead when I am on the road to order milkshakes every now and then. I call ahead because having milkshakes made takes time and ties up one of their machines and one of their employees for several minutes. By ordering ahead, they can fit them in between customers and keep the lines moving. Now, actually getting them made is something else. Some times, no problem. Sometimes, they try to make me pay over the phone. I am usually driving, so pulling out my wallet and giving a card number is not an option. I complained to the manager about this a while back and it hasn't been a problem since. Now, it seems, they don't want to make milkshakes ahead of time because they separate. I just don't understand why sometimes it's OK and sometimes it's not OK. This wishy-washy mess he has made it so I will no longer go to gabrielles. Will they survive without me? I'm sure they will. Gabrielle Regan, owner of Gabrielle Chocolate, has been in the cake and chocolatier business for over 20 years, and opened a retail space at 72 Albany Street in Cazenovia in 2014. She had worked with Kimberly Bukowski, owner of Kimberly's Ice Cream, and learned how to make the dozens of ice cream recipes that Bukowski had perfected over the years and customers came to love, so when Kimberly's Ice Cream closed, Gabrielle opened a second location on Cazenovia street in 2016 that would also include ice cream from Kimberly's original recipes. My wife and I randomly came across Gabrielle's as we were passing by on our way to a restaurant for lunch and decided to stop in on our way back. We're not in the Caz area much so we'd never heard of it. It's a nice little space with big glass display cases for all the ice cream and chocolate goodies they offer, and fridges full of already prepared cakes and things you can take home as well. We both got ice cream for that day, both getting sundaes with their interesting flavors. I honestly can't remember exactly what flavors we chose, but we were both happy with our choices. We also got an assortment of chocolate truffles and creams to take home which we loved as well, my favorite being the coconut creams. Prices were comparable to similar establishments. There was only one employee when we were there, and he was very helpful and patient taking care of us and answering all our questions about flavors and what different things were. A great little gem in a strip mall and Manlius Today was my second visit, and I decided to give them that 5th star that I reserve for only the best. I've come to the understanding that, just like there are "fast food" places, there are also "fast desert" places, and Gabrielle's isn't one of them, this is a place for quality treats, if you're in a hurry they sell candy and ice cream at the Walgreen's right next door. They almost have an impressive # of options, if you find yourself waiting in line, take the time to read the boards they so meticulously update. I had a hot fudge sundae with marshmallow and whip cream; it was nice to taste real ice cream for a change. My kid had a waffle cone with chocolate and vanilla soft custard. Today we bought some chocolates and even though we only bought 1/4 pound it was still meticulously wrapped & boxed with a ribbon. Everything was absolutely delicious. Check the pics I posted their selection is amazing for such a small place The staff seems to really enjoy working there, I saw the owner training one of them and it appeared to be a very positive. May 1/On a whim after taking my 88 yr old aunt to dr ,/we wanted to take her to get ice cream ,where there were seats to sit inside .( it was pouring out!!)We discover Gabrielle Chocolates ( and ice cream )The shop was so clean and adorable! Eye catching displays , and a variety of delicious hand done chocolate amazed by so much selection! Mack greeted us with smile and and enthusiasm !Shop had so many wonderful choices and so we each picked something ( beautifully packaged ! I might add!! And now to the ice cream! How hard it was to pick!! My aunt has basic twist.I has Bananas Foster .which was dairy free and gluten free and Fantastic!! My husband had the pecan . Also delish ! And the waffle cones !! Such a great spot to stop at if you're having a sweet tooth. They have an endless amount of chocolates to choose from, or an array of ice cream flavors! We grabbed an ice cream sandwich and a scoop of Peach Amaretto ice cream. The sandwich was good and the scoop was a good bang for your buck. read more

Loved this place until about a month or so ago. The last two times we've gone as a family the sizes have been laughably small, and the prices have gone up. A medium soft serve now is about the size of what a small used to be. Kiddie is basically a sample size of ice cream. I got a gift card from friends and decided to try it out. The ice cream was so yummy but the service was terrible.The woman who took our order kept snapping at my kids to stop touching the glass. Which I get it, it's a pain to clean. But when I was ordering for my kids and myself the woman was very short with me and exasperated that I didn't tell her what size I wanted immediately. Our family has been getting ice cream here for a long time and it's always amazing. While most of the employees are very kind and capable I had a very negative experience with the middle aged woman who works there occasionally. She was very short tempered and point blank yelled at me for giving what she felt was a vague order and stated she couldn't hear costumers behind their masks. All of these issues are understandable but it would have been nice not to be yelled at and instead simply asked respectfully to clarify my order. read more

I looked up good ice cream places and a place called Kimberlys came up. When i called asking if this was the place, a very rude woman answered the phone, yelled at me and told me Kimberlys had been closed. Then yelled at me asking if i was a solicitor or a customer. My husband and I decided to try this place out since I was craving ice cream even in the middle of winter, because I'm a New England girl through and through. We didn't have any ice cream in the shop but we were able to sample some and we bought 3 pints to go. We got amaretto, a Nutella like flavor that I can't remember the name of and apple cider sorbet. The Nutella like flavor was gone in days. Amaretto was one of my favorite flavors and I rarely see it, so I have been savoring it in small amounts since it is also a very strong flavor. My husband finished the Apple cider in less than a week. I know the next time my mother and stepfather come into town, I will be bringing them here since it is close by to our home and delicious. We've been pretty regular customers here but after tonight I don't really have any desire to go back. We drive from the next town over just to get milkshakes here and usually it's worth it but tonight completely changed my mind on that. First of all when we arrived there was a few people in front of us. No big deal we weren't in a rush but, as the line was moving up these two people came in and went on the other side of the table the splits the store in half pretty much. The person in front of us was paying for their order so one would assume the other worker behind the counter would ask us for our order. Nope. Apparently if your kid works here you get to skip the line (the one girl told another that it was her mom). On top of that when it came our time to order I ordered a milkshake which also happened to be the same flavor the lady who cut in front of us got. So when they were making my milkshake they didn't have enough ice cream to make a full shake. Most people would say something or ask the customer if they could add something in or do something else. It was a chocolate flavor so could easily just could have added some regular chocolate. I'm not picky. I wouldn't have cared. Apparently not having enough ice cream means you just fill a quarter of the container with whipped cream. As someone who doesn't really care for whipped cream, this completely ruined the shake for me. I ended up scooping it all out. I'm so disappointed and will definitely not be returning. read more
