I get the feeling that the employees are cheerier here than other salons I've been to in the past because they are not standing around all day waiting for a walk-in. The downside is that because they don't have a manager enforcing a schedule, they might have a lighter schedule. The woman I see, for example, is a new mom so she is working two days a week. Great for her and not a problem for me when I'm not procrastinating, which I can't say I'm the best at all the time. The general feeling here is warm and welcome. It's a cute space with local art and they will offer you a warm drink so you are nice and cozy while you are getting your hair done. I'm not the kind of girl that wants a premium, ultra spa like experience when I'm getting my hair cut, so this sort of homey atmosphere is just right for me.
