I get the feeling that the employees are cheerier here than other salons I've been to in the past because they are not standing around all day waiting for a walk-in. The downside is that because they don't have a manager enforcing a schedule, they might have a lighter schedule. The woman I see, for example, is a new mom so she is working two days a week. Great for her and not a problem for me when I'm not procrastinating, which I can't say I'm the best at all the time. The general feeling here is warm and welcome. It's a cute space with local art and they will offer you a warm drink so you are nice and cozy while you are getting your hair done. I'm not the kind of girl that wants a premium, ultra spa like experience when I'm getting my hair cut, so this sort of homey atmosphere is just right for me. I want to come out feeling fresh and pretty and hopefully not broke and Tangles and Co hits all these marks. I came in with an idea to take my black "virgin hair" and completely remove all color at the ends and dye it gray. Chelsea talked me through the process of how lifting the color would affect my hair, and guided me to an option that would cause less damage, and it turned out beautifully! However, my stylist, Leanne, was down-to-earth, accepting, and understood exactly what I wanted. She dyed my hairs a perfect, natural color, which looked nothing like shoe polish. My haircut made my few strands look fuller. After Leanne trimmed my beard, I looked in the mirror and saw a man ten years younger than I am. I had a spring in my step and felt great. Leanne's technique was as good as any hair stylist I've seen in NYC, Sydney, Tokyo, or Seattle. Prices at Bespoke were very fair. With free parking down the block, Bespoke is a perfect hair salon for anyone in the Twin Cities. If Leanne is available, grab the appointment.
