She does my color and extensions and somehow nails it every single time. I get compliments constantly and people are always asking who does my hair. My natural hair is black and she got me this blonde (see photo) while keeping my hair healthy, which says everything about her skill. She's incredibly knowledgeable and, more importantly, honest. I always check with her before doing anything to my hair because I know she'll give me real advice, not just say yes to everything. She also does my 11 year old daughter's hair and is so patient and sweet with her, which means a lot to me. You can tell she really cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. He also took my hair-based Pinterest board closely to heart since he created a cut that closely matched what I'd wanted. Throughout the appointment, he took the time to share spot-on observations about my hair and scalp, along with tips for optimizing my tress health. It wouldn't be an overestimation to liken his expertise to that of a hair doctor. By the end of my appointment, I not only had one of the best hair cuts in my life; I also walked away with tons of styling and haircare tips. Will a cut here cost a premium? Yes. Will it take a little longer than your neighborhood salon? Possibly. But if you care about getting an expert cut, you couldn't get any better than Min. A few days after purchasing it, I needed a last-minute blowout for an event and couldn't get in with my usual salon. I called Salon JM and tried to make an appointment to use the voucher the following day. They couldn't accommodate me for the cut and color portion, but only had time for a blowout. I asked if making this appointment would prevent me from using the Groupon at a later date (since the fine print said it was for new customers). I was told it was fine, since I had purchased the Groupon as a new customer, and I was going for a different service. I reconfirmed this in person when I went for the blowout. Imagine my surprise when I called back a couple weeks later to make an appointment for the deal and was told they would not honor it. Again, I explained that I WAS a new customer when the deal was purchased, and the only reason I had gone for just a blowout before redeeming the deal was because I couldn't get an appointment for the whole thing. They weren't even open to using the amount of the voucher towards the full price of the service - I would have been fine with that! Instead, I was told to deal with Groupon, and then they hung up on me. They didn't even ask if I wanted to proceed without the deal! It's a shame because they did a nice job with the blowout, but I would absolutely not go back here. Clearly they aren't interested in the business. There are enough salons in this area - I don't need to deal with one that's rude and sketchy.
