Went there to fix my apple desktop. The guy whose name is George told me he will call me back tomorrow after diagnostic. A week went by, nobody called me. I called back to see what is going on. It took them a long time just to locate my computer and the guy said he is still working on my computer. Another week went by, nobody called me. So when I called back, he said I need a mother board which will cost me couple of hundred dollars. I said go ahead with the repair. The guy calls me back 2 weeks later and said I need additional work besides the mother board. At that point, I told him to forget it and just keep the computer. The store I visited was off of 54 by wiregrass mall. First off the initial walk in the door experience was lacking in any form of customer service. The girl at the desk was absolutely clueless. I was tempted at that time to not leave my MacBook simply because she made them seem inept. I did however leave my MacBook Air with them for repair of the lcd screen. It took 2 full weeks with me calling numerous times to get confirmation of when I would get the laptop back. I understand that they have other repairs and it was between holiday's but this seemed excessive. I've had my laptop back for 4 days and now have to return it because it won't power on at all and it was completely charged. Before I left it there, this had never occurred. It was a rough start with gadget repair. I was originally quoted a week to replace the SIM card reader in my LG. It took 2 weeks for the phone to come back. Then when I went out to pick it up I found out that the phone was still not operating properly. They did end up fixing it and the phone has been operating properly for a few days now. They fixed the cracked screen on my iPhone 5c. 36 days later it cracked again and distorted the LCD. Took it back and they said "sorry so sad but you are out of our 30 day warranty". No offer to remedy the problem just "too bad". In addition, I took it to Apple and was told that because I had a non Apple product put on my phone it voided all other warranties with Apple. Needless to say, GadgetRepair didn't tell me they would void my warranty. Businesses like this should not be in business. I saw another post that the owner - "Ahmed M" said sorry businesses don't do things for free. How about doing the right thing and respect back to small American business? I busted the glass on my brand new Samsung Note 3, and took it here for repairs. They explained the two possible repair options, giving their honest recommendation. I opted for full front screen enclosure replacement, which was adequately completed very quickly. The only wait was for a part that had to be ordered from Miami, since they didn't keep it in stock. Felt comfortable leaving my phone overnight for repairs. After pick-up, realized that the primary microphone was no longer working, so returned and explained the malfunction, and their friendly staff ordered a whole new board (after testing) and fixed it immediately without any extra charges or hassles. They were busy each time that I visited, so go early in the day, if possible. Appreciate that they are open past the closing time of most businesses, giving me time to get there after work. It appears that they repair all sorts of electronics - there were people bringing in TVs, speakers, laptops, mobile phones, and desktops. I am extremely pleased with the cost, quality of work, and service. I recommend this place if you're looking to repair your device. I would give them 0 stars if it were an option. They replaced a broken screen on my iPhone and when I brought it home and charged it the screen had a black line up the middle from the home button to the top of the phone. Phone also would take a charge, and you could see light from inside the phone on the top left .So, I took it back in to show them and the person working could have cared less. Just said the case was bent, and how did he know the phone didn't have the black line score the repair. My phone worked perfectly before and the case was definitely not bent. Took it to another repair shop and the tech said the screen was probably not installed right. So, he reinstalled the screen and correctly connected the screen to the charging port. It was that simple. Because it wAs that easy he didn't even charge me. He clean the inside and showed me where they left grease residue. Gadget repair wouldn't even look at my phone... it's no coincidence that the same thing happened to my neighbors phone when she had her screen fixed., and they refused to fix look at hers as well. Go where the techs are experienced and care about service, and don't waste your time and money here! ********* Had to get my battery replaced ...... found out it was replaced with a bad battery...... this was the only time I had ever taken my phone anywhere to be fixed....... to get my phone working I took it to New Tampa Tech and they never take the phone in the back an I sat and watched them reinstall my screen.... weeks later I went back bc my battery wasn't charging..... that's when I found out my battery had been replaced already and acid was actually on the battery. As previously stated, the tech at the store I watched fix my phone told me he had to wile the battery because it "greasy". Come to find out this place replaced my good battery with an old battery. It should have had the original battery and Apple phones have a black tab to pull, like a contact strip with the original. This battery had doubled sided tacky tape! Never ever go to this store. They charged me 175 to replace old iPhone screen and the home touchid button. The touchid is still not working and they claim it will never work. I gave iPhone to clean but they did all the replacement without my authorization and charged all that extra money. Now the authorized dealer, simple Mac say they can fix for 100 but they need the original damaged parts which I don't have. The owner of the store is a big ****e. I took my iPhone five there with a broke screen They fixed it but broke the speaker.Then charged me for a new speaker two months later the screen pops out but works i bring it back again they work on it for no charge. Now the screen blacks out every couple of minutes I call them back they said it needs a new screen again but he will give me a deal 90$ so i drive back he tells me the tech just walked out. I cracked the screen on my iPad and took it here to be repaired. Although they were able to replace the class the iPad now just randomly turns off. I took the iPad back to them to have them check it out and they were unable to fix this problem that they caused. I took my iPad to them because they were cheaper than some other places, big mistake! read more

Beware!!! Beware!!! Beware!!!. I decided to stop at this store on December 18. 2013, because I had an IPAD 1 that had a broken screen. A couple of days before I had turned on the unit which was fine and the broken screen drove me crazy so I thought I would get it fixed to give to my daughter. I went in and the girl Alex, in the front said sure, it would take an hour to fix and she would call me when it was done - and it would cost me $100. My first clue should have been that I got a call about 2.5 hours later saying that the IPAD didn't power up and that she would need to keep it longer to see what the problem was. I asked her when she would get back to me and she said in 2 days. Well, 5 days later, I called to find out what was going on and Alex tells me that she still needs to examine the unit. She was going to get a technician to look at it (who had looked at it so far?). Well, not only did I not get any calls, but when I called during business hours, I got no answer. I kept calling and attributed it to the holidays. I called right after the holidays (around January 8) and I got the owner Ahmed who was very rude. He told me they are looking at the unit and would give me a call is a fix was possible. I called again on January 14 and got the owner. I explained that I was waiting for a call to pick up my unit - and the owner put me on hold for 3 minutes. When he got back on the phone he says "what do you want me to do for you? I've already spoken to you about this like 5 times and I keep telling you the Ipad doesn't power up? What don't you understand?". I said to him, "So you've kept my Ipad for a month and told me you would try to fix it and now you're taking an attitude with me because I want to know what's going on with my property?" Ahmed says "I don't have an attitude". I answered him that I would send my husband to pick up the unit and hung up the phone. When I went to pick up my Ipad (husband couldn't go and I didn't want to leave it there one day more), the owner was on the phone with the Department of Business - the Hazmat Division on the speaker phone for everyone to hear, telling them that he needed to change his company name. BEWARE! He gave out all his private and personal business information right in front of me. He screamed to the back of the store "ALEX, I need you up here...!" Well, he screamed her name 4 times before she showed up. I said "I want my IPAD 1 that I left here before Christmas." She asked me my name and when I gave it to her it took her like 3 minutes before she gave it to me and said "yeah, it never powered up." I said "that is all that was done?" She answered "Yeah." I just took the unit and walked out. The screen is still broken and I now have to take it to someone to be sure my parts haven't been changed, switched or something else. If the owner is so comfortably LAXED with having people hear his own personal information, I can't imagine what he would do with any information you leave on your phones, Ipods, Ipads, etc. Save yourself a lot of time and aggravation. Should have read the hidden reviews first. Lots of bad ones that are similar to my experience. Poor customer service and not willing to admit any responsibility. Told me there was no way spot on repaired iPhone could have been there if it wasn't cracked first. Found the black spot 30 minutes after picked up and they were closed. First thing in the morning let them know about spot. Then the cracking above the spot started. They did nothing. Not a professional company in any way. $130 down the drain in just hours. Once upon a time I referred everyone here. I brought my daughters Iphone in for broken glass, they replaced it. While I was there another customer was complaining they damaged his phone when they did the glass so that it would randomly act up and freeze. So, after repairing my daughter's phone, it did the same thing. I brought it back, they swapped the glass. It worked for a few days, then started acting up again. I went back for my money back, the owner claims a no refund policy and would not admit fault because Icould make the phone act up on command. I. no longer recommend thief place. read more

From your statement, you indicated that your computer had "an error message on start up that wouldn't go away unless you clicked 'OK'." I take it you didn't even have time to get reinfected? I agree with your assessment, this is not the place to go for computer repairs (or customer service for that matter). If zero stars were possible that would be correct..I took my daughter there for her iphone 5c to be repaired as it was not functioning properly. She came out 20 minutes and $119 dollars later and said it was fixed. I thought how great that was and the reviews were wrong..WRONG! We didn't make it out of the parking lot and it quit again. She took it back in and was told it must be the motherboard they would have to keep it and look at it. A week later I called and had to speak with the rudest woman I have ever dealt with in any business. The girl that answers phone is a sweeheart but the woman that repairs is dreadful. She rudely told me she wasn't sure what time it would be fixed and I could pick it up as is if I wanted. I explained I was only trying to plan my day off around picking up phone if it was ready. After giving up on speaking to her they called me a few hours later to pick it up. We were told it was fixed for the same money I had already paid so I was happy with that. WELL..the phone seemed alright for minute but realized later they installed a 8gb motherboard into the 16gb phone! Now the phone is crap due to no memory. Can't even watch a video. I called and gave them a chance to make this right and was told that I was told it would be 8gb! I explained that was NOT the case as I would have offered extra money to put the correct motherboard in. The woman refused to offer any assistance only saying I was told when I KNOW that I was not informed. Last time I ignore the yelp reviews. Save your money and head somewhere else. DO NOT GO THERE! I had gadget repair fix my cracked iPhone on 5/2/14. 2 weeks later the screen started to go all white and I re-entered the store on 5/27, 15 minutes before closing. I was told it was too late, although it would only take 25 minutes to repair, and to return on another day. Even though I didn't have the receipt they explained that they would look up my info. I returned 3 days later on 5/30 and they were adamant that I was lying about coming there to begin with. They said they couldn't find me in the system or the paper application I was asked to fill out with all my personal information. The manager said he would look for the application but he had to go somewhere so he couldn't do it right now (his kids were in the store). When I called in the afternoon, because the manager never called me back, the customer service guy was really rude with an "oh well" type of attitude. All he said they could do is offer me 15% off and I would have to pay for another repair. I asked to speak to the manager and I was denied. Both times I was rushed away because the staff had to go or was busy. Absolutely no apology for any inconvenience or any customer service. They stole my $90 and I am stuck with a non-working Iphone. read more
