Since I got new IPhone 6, I decided to see we can repair the IPhone 5. The switch off button is broken. The cost of repairs is $55. Since we check in with yelp, there is a $5 coupon. We also have the factory unlock so we can switch the carrier. It only takes them 24 hour to switch for $49 dollars. We have tested at the store to make sure it has reception. I like local store to do it instead get internet store is I can go back to them if we have problems. They also sell cell phone case, refurbished TV, computer screen and more. It is good price. Gadgets Repair was very nice and personable. I came in to get a quote on my cracked cell phone screen. He stated it was $199 to get it fixed. He explained that some companies may change charge half the price, and not account for the touch screen to actually work. Something like that verbiage to be exact. He stated at the lowest, he could do $180. The replacement screen just would not have the icon of the type of phone it is. He said he gets it done in about an hour. I said thank you. He said that If I got a quote elsewhere he would work with me. They also have repair for computers. They have free quotes whether it's cleaning up your computer so it runs faster, or if another electric item needs repair. They sell different types of cell phone cases as well. read more

These yelp reviews don't do it any justice, definitely a good place to go. I brought my iPad 2 in because we thought something was wrong with the LCD connector (base on research). Talked to Alex on phone and she said it could be two issues and that they'd run a free diagnostic. Brought it in, guy at front quickly tells me it's a LCD screen replacement that is needed, but told him I spoke with Alex. She confirmed and they ran a test and it was the cheaper of the two fixes. I really needed my boken s10+ phone screen repaired ASAP as I was on my way to a Golden Knights game and I could not access my tickets without a working screen. I broght my phone in at 3pm and I needed it by 5pm to get to the game. There was a little issue on getting it done in such a short notice, but the tech from Gadgets Repair pulled it together and got me the phone with a new screen (that looks like a new phone) in 2 hours. My New 3DSXL (Yes, I have to be specific about that, lol) suffered wear and tear over the years, eventually leading to a non-functioning C-Nub and two screens filled with black lines. I had two options, buy a new New 2DSXL (Yes, that's an entirely different console despite the very similar names), which would've sent me back over $200 due to scalpers, or have my handheld fixed for less than half that and get it back faster than any shipping company. I would've rated the store a bit higher, but I've only required their services once before, so I can't vouch for their consistency. tl;dr I had a very specific issue with a very specific, not to mention discontinued, handheld device that required specific parts, yet they were able to fix it within the week. I assume you'd have an even better experience if you'd approached them with a wide variety of more common devices. I would recommend giving them a try yourself. read more

Use to be my go to place. Really disappointed. Took in $125 laptop with broken charger and port. Was told $65 to fix it. I had them do it. Not once was I told that the charger itself could not be fixed until I went to pick it up and they gave me back a fixed computer and the broken charger. As the technician tried to argue that a new charger is $20 online...for an aftermarket one. I tried to explain that now I will have dumped $90+ into fixing a computer only worth $125. I never would have had them work on it and would have just bought a new one if the tech had been up front and honest. He tried to argue that he never said he could fix the charger...but he never said he couldn't to me either. Felt like a scam and a shady way to do business. My son broke his screen. We brought it here. The home button was glitching and my son told the front desk lady... she told me to reinstall software to fix it. Dopey me said "ok". That night the phone fell apart and the screen broke again. They forgot the screws, the adhesive, and put it together with something jammed in wrong so the phone popped open and broke. I brought it back. They said i must have dropped it and i was lying. Infuriating. They wouldnt fix it until i raised a stink. When i got the phone back my son was with me and he said the home button was totally broken now. The front desk lady (Juhrie) was there and denied ever hearing us say earlier the button was malfunctioning when they gave it back to us. The owner,JAMIE, told us you cant fix it and we would have to buy a new phone. He claimed the phone sabotoged by someone else. WHAT@!?? My son tried to explain they returned it to us with a malfunctioning home button and the front desk lady denied it. My son said 'You're lying!". The owner said there was nothing he could do. My son said "Yes there is...you can replace my phone."The owner, JAMIE, said that wasnt going to happen and then yelled at my 13 yr old son and kicked us out. I do not even know where to begin. Never in my life have I ever experienced service so bad that it was borderline CRIMINAL. To my embarrassment, I recommended this shop to my friend for a simple iPhone screen repair. Instead of writing a long story, I will give you bullet points of everything that went wrong: - The wait time for repair was 30 minutes. It ended up taking over 10 days to repair. - Owner told us that they could not repair the phone because the touch screen did not work even though when it was dropped off, the touch screen worked 100% fine. - Shop owner kept on delaying the pick up date more and more giving excuses. - After 10+ days without a working phone and an unfathomably big inconvenience, I assumed the owner would waive any fee for the service or at least discount it. This was not the case. Instead, the shop owner took my phone and hid it behind the counter and said "You're not getting this phone back unless you pay the full price in cash" - After the phone was finally "fixed" the auto-brightness feature on the iPhone no longer worked. This was the most hellish experience I have ever experienced or heard of. Please note that the details of this review are expressed in a very light manner compared to how we were actually treated in person. Stay away from this spot. There are plenty of other phone repair shops within a 10 mile radius. TLDR; Dropped phone off for a simple fix that ended up taking 10+ days and was returned almost in worse condition and we were forced to pay anyway. read more

I went in to get my iPhone 7 screen replaced and when i went to pick it up, the screen mad my phone seem dull. They guy insisted it's because my brightness was no all the way up...I use my phone everyday I know where I keep my brightness. I don't link it all the way up since it drains my battery. He said he would try to fix it again, I came back an hour later and same thing. My phone is dull and I can see my screen like before, even with the brightness all the way up it's still dull. I believe the quality of the screen they use is bad. I would not go back or recommend them. I see you replied to my review...I was told by 2 of your employees that you use after market screens, and I can tell by the quality. The screen is dull and dim no matter how high my Brightness is. I used to not have to keep my brightness up but if it's not almost all the way up I can't see a thing. I worked for a corporate AT&T store for 3 years, I know how to work and use my phone, so i can tell you it is not user error. I used to warn costumers about stores like yours all the time, but I was in a desperate situation and I'm paying for it now. We took our Samsung Galaxy S7 to be repaired after it got damaged by a car. They repaired the phone and charged us $250.47. It was working just fine until a week later when the screen went dark and the phone could not be used. When we returned with the phone they said that they will have to look at the phone and demanded and additional $250 in cash (non-refundable) before they would look at it! We let them know about the fact that they had already repaired it but they STILL demanded the cash!!! At this point we didn't see any reason to pay $500 to repair a phone yet again. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Left my phone at this horrid place...just needed a new screen. Phone was fully functional. They said it would take one hour & cost $99. TWO WEEKS LATER (after calling them every day to find out what was taking so long)...I went into the store & demanded my phone back. The owner, Akmed, brought my phone to me in pieces, tossed it at me in the counter & said the phone was "fried". He said he couldn't explain it & "that's life with electronics". Then, proceeded to ask me for $200 (for his "time"). He was so rude to me, I was in shock...I still am in shock that a business like his is still IN business. There were four other people waited on - before me...and it was almost the exact same scenario with each one. One man got so angry about what this place did to his laptop, that I thought I was going to witness some type of violent incident. This place is HORRIFIC! I took an iPad there as the screen was popping out, thought it may be the battery. They confirmed it was the battery and said they could replace it and will also require the screen to be replaced to get the battery installed. After about a week got a call back saying the battery was replaced and did not have to replace the screen and the Touch ID does not function. The touch ID worked when it was taken into the store. The store continued to say it did not work. Horrible customer service. Was promised a call with the owner who has never contacted me despite me leaving my number twice. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS SHOP. I have an iphone 5 and I went to get the screen repaired in May. They informed me that I had water damage and a defective battery but they could still repair my screen. Two weeks later I came back to get my battery fixed. A week goes by and I realize my speakers aren't nearly as loud and my iphone screen is lifting. I come back in to have it repaired without cost and I'm told "We can't be reliable because your phone has water damage." Rip offs! Did not fix my phone and kept my money. They said they fixed my phone I paid and walked out to my truck to leave. I tried to make several calls and the phone did not work. I walked right back in and told them it was not fixed. They told me they had received a bad batch of parts and could not fix my phone. They would not refund my money because they said they had spent over 2 hours changing parts that were defective. That should not be customers problems. I had my iPhone 6 screen replaced here in a pinch because I couldn't get to the Apple Store. What a mistake. It's more expensive and once they touch it, Apple won't even look at it. Even if you pay. Long story short. They replaced my screen and then a few weeks later the LED behind the screen quit working. The outside screen was still in perfect condition. They wouldn't honor any warranty or guarantee. First saying they only replace using the whole assembley (screen and led) then backtracked saying that they can't guarantee what happens under the screen. The best part..."as long as it's working for 10 mins then it was repaired." Well that's convenient. They wanted another $109 - $159 to repair it again. The number kept changing. Save yourself hassle and go to the Apple Store. Most times they will fix it for free if you're nice. And if not, then it's the same price or less then this place. Horrible Service! We took three laptops in to have them checked to see what was wrong with them. Two weren't worth repairing, but the third one was. We were told it had viruses, and Gadgets Repair could clean it up and remove all the viruses. We got the computer home, and there was an error message on start up that wouldn't go away unless you clicked "OK". Additionally, we couldn't connect to the Internet. We took the computer back and the tech called a little later to say that it was reinfected with a virus that was downloaded and reactivated when I clicked "OK" to clear the error message. He said he would delete the programs that were causing the infection for an additional $55. I asked if it meant just deleting them via the control panel and he said yes, that would clear up the virus error message. He said there was another program that also needed to be removed . . . "splenda, or splendid or something like that." I know how to remove a program, so I told him I would do it myself. We bring the computer home, I remove the programs that were causing the virus, but the only program that came close to the "splenda, or splendid," was my graphics card, which the manufacturer said I had to have. On rebooting the computer, the error message was gone, but we still couldn't connect to the Internet. We took it back to Gadgets once again, and admittedly, we were frustrated and short with the lady, but then we get a call saying they will not fix the computer because we were rude to one of the employees. REALLY!!! If the viruses had been removed from the computer, it would not have the error message; we could not connect to the Internet; we've already paid to have these viruses removed; and yet it's OUR fault that we were reinfected, and we're rude when we feel frustrated and cheated! They may be good at replacing broken glass in mobile phones, but don't trust them with your computers! read more

I went to Gadgets Repair today because I thought I had broken my iPhone screen. They told me that I was getting a reduced price from the normal price to replace it as prices had come down a little. I was thrilled! Then when I went back to pick up my iPhone they showed me that I had NOT cracked the screen, but it was a crack in my screen protector. So, there would be no charge. Again, I was thrilled because they could have charged me the full price and I would never have known. They were an honest business to do business with and they were fast and reliable. ***THEY HAVE AN "F" WITH THE BBB FOR A REASON***BEWARE. I read a few bad reviews online before bringing my tablet in for repair. I thought they were just a few scorned customers, so desperately and regretfully went in... I had left my Samsung Tab 4 tablet on the roof of my car and drove off. Needless to say it was in horrible shape. When I enetered the store I thought it honestly looked like a tech chop shop. But again, desperate to fix my new tablet I stayed. The "manager" told me it would be $99.00 plus $8.00 to overnight the new glass screen. He advised me to get a case for it, like an otter box, because I only had a portfolio case. Mind you, he sells no cases for the Samsung tablet. He also indicated that IF YOU GIVE A GOOD YELP REVIEW YOU GET 5% OFF. Why would I do this before even seeing my finished product? I believe this is a main reason for the 4 star reviews on yelp. THREE days later I took the tablet out of my bag and the entire glass screen just fell off. Literally, fell off. I was annoyed but wasn't worried because I had the 30 day "Warranty". I called the shop, and the young girl who answered the phone was so rude I could hardly believe it. She told me that the screen falling out was "impossible" that they use " industrial strength glue" to hold the screen in. She was giving me attitude like I was trying to pull a fast one on her. I went in and the manager was there. With my warranty and receipt in hand I told him the issue. He said "Oh, you broke it.". I was stunned. He then told me my warranty was void because it was MY FAULT for not getting a case for it. He NEVER ONCE mentioned this to me when repairing my screen the first time. If he did I obviously would have bought a stronger case! (Not from him since they only carry older products) He asked me what I paid for my previous repair, then quoted me $70.00 to replace it. I walked out. Needless to say this was and is the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. They are rude, disrespectful, and have no consideration for their customers. THEY ARE A SCAM. DO NOT BRING YOUR BUSINESS HERE!!! For iPhone repair, Avoid. Waste of time and money. They repaired screen on iPhone 7. A couple months later noticed a couple pixels showing permanent as white spots. Then a month or so later my phone would lock itself out. It was acting like many buttons were being pressed over and over. Then it suddenly would resolve for periods of time. Then a new issue, the screen would not acknowledge touch. I would have press the home button and shut it down several cycles to get the screen to respond. Also, when I wore polarized sunglasses, I couldn't see the screen. I went back to tell them about my concerns. The person working laughed about the pixels not working and said that's not a problem. When I told him about the other issues, he did not believe me. After continuing to voice my concerns he wanted me to leave my phone with him until the following afternoon to troubleshoot (about 24 hour). I refused and left. After a year dealing with the subpar screen, I brought the phone to Apple. New genuine screen replacement cost about the same these guys charged and only took 30min. Truly like having a brand new phone. What a headache. Like I said, avoid. read more

The guy told me 30min so I went next door to Bell's and got a pretty good deal in shoes and jeans. Went back after the 30 min and the phone was up and running. I think $45 is a little steep considering that the battery can cost you $3.50 and the tool kit $2.50 on e-bay. :-) but when you need your phone you have to pay I guess...... Crooks!! They take advantage of the elderly. My son has a $40 go phone. He dropped it and broke the screen when he was at his grandparents house. They didn't want him to get into trouble. They went to the store and bought a new phone for $40 and they went to Gadgets. They wanted to know if they could fix the old broken phone so know one would know it was broken. (dumb idea by the grandparents) So what do the techs do, tear apart the brand new phone and take parts and place on the old broken phone and then charged them $25. AND 3 days later the old phone that was repaired doesn't work. So now we are out $40 because the brand new phone is destroyed, out $25 because the repair was no good. AND now have to buy another phone. NO ethics!!! The tech should have told them to just transfer the phone # to the new phone. read more

I took my Iphone6 there to have the screen fixed. My Phone stopped working less than 30 days later. They Broke it while fixing the screen. On 12/12 I brought my Iphone in to have the screen fixed. The Phone seemed fine for about 1 week and started to freeze up and become unresponsive at time. On January 10 my phone screen went back and did not work. on January 11th I took the phone back to Gadgets Repair and spoke to Nick. Nick told me that he would Swap the Screen and to come back in 1 hr. When I came back in 1 Hour Nick told me that it was not the screen and that it looks like a Video chip was damaged when they replaced the screen the first time. Nick said that he would take a copy of my warranty form, which he did and he would have the owner order me a new phone because it was covered under their warranty and they damaged it. He ever was going to give me a loaner phone while I waited for my new phone. I did not take the loaner phone because I have a backup phone I planned to use. I took my broken phone and left under the premise that the owner would call me and order me a new phone. The Next Day 1/12/18 I called to speak with the owner and he was not there. I spoke to George. George informed me that he was the tech who worked on my phone and that it was fixable and that He needed the phone back so one of the vendors in Orlando could fix it and they would pay for it. I informed George that I was already back in Atlatna but I would ship them the phone. I paid for the phone to be Overnight shipped back to Gadgets Repair and even included a return envelope in the box. This is all happening under their 30 day warranty and also the fact that their employee told me they broke the phone and the owner would have it replaced. Due to Sunday my Phone Arrived 1/15/18 at 11:30 and was signed by MANSOUR. I called around 12:00pm and spoke to this gentleman. He did not confirm but I am guessing he was the owner. I had to reexplain the situation to him. He told me that he infact had someone in Atlanta area who could fix the phone and have it done the quickest. When I expressed my concern about his employee Nick telling me I would get a new phone and George arranging to have me send it to them. I was told, "well we can fix it here but it would take longer". I then asked where the guy in Atlanta was located, He was not sure but said he would email me the address, which he did. I asked how the billing would be taken care of and he told me, this store is in his network and they would bill Gadgets Repair Directly. I said ok and he could use the UPS shipping label to send my phone back and I would take it to the location he recommended. This morning 1/16/18. I received an email from Gadgets repair owner stating that he mailed me my phone back yesterday evening and to be advised that it was not covered under their warranty. Their employee Nick Admitted that they damaged the phone during the screen replacement and told me the owner would replace the unit. Their Employee George said it could be fixed and that they would take care of the repair. The Owner said he had someone who would fix it here locally for me and same me time. They have damaged my phone I have had only a short time and are now not living up to their word to make it right. read more

I even left my number and never received a call back to see what went wrong. You would think an owners top priority would be customer service. Obviously not his companies strong points.
