This guy may be a genius at what he does, but I will never know. I needed four stripped screws removed from the bottom of a laptop, a task that I think would take a competent professional 5 to 10 minutes to complete, 15 minutes tops -- I was not asking him to replace anything or perform any services. He airily informed me that the cost for this would be $79!!! I understand that people need to make a living, but this was over the top. My work computer suffered water damage on a Thursday and when I called (a few too many times in a row) on a Friday, the owner called me back letting me know he was out of town that weekend but to unplug the computer and bring it on Monday when he returned. He was very responsive via text and within a week, my computer had a new motherboard and was given a nice cleaning. Fast and much cheaper than going to Apple to replace. read more

Gadgetworx cares about keeping customers happy. Really the most important quality in a small local business. I took my iPhone 7 in with a cracked screen. Gadgetworx replaced it. Afterward my phone did not respond to touch screen input, so I called Gadgetworx to report the problem and they immediately agreed to fix it again at no cost. They installed a second screen which worked perfectly and gave me a free screen protector for my trouble. When my son's Xbox needed some repair, I called around to about 4 other places first, who all said they no longer touch Xboxes, and that I should just buy a new one. I kept trying to find a place that would fix it, because new Xboxes are $200. I called these guys at Gadgetworx. They were great over the phone. They were just as friendly and helpful in person. They told me to leave the Xbox and they would have it bacl by the next day. They called me 2 hours later and told me it was done. The price was very reasonable, too. PS3 repair, iPhone repair- they fixed both in under an hour! My PS3 had the "light of death" and I wasn't able to even power up and eject my disc. Fortunately, I came across their add on Craigslist and brought my PS3 there. Fixed in under an hour and working like new for $69. About 1/2 off compared to sending it back to Sony. Also my iPhone glass was cracked on the back. Instant fix, they had the part in stock and phone is like new again. Very well done, and would highly recommend. read more

I've been meaning to write to recommend Gadgetworx for repairs that they have done on my laptop and on my daughter's iPhone. The hp laptop needed a new cable to connect the screen display and the iPhone stopped working after a "slight" drop ( according to my daughter). They did a great job with both devices and I would recommend them highly for work on computers or iPhones. Their storefront window signs don't accurately portray their capabilities IMO so just walk in and give them a try for repairs at a fair price. read more

They charged me 70 dollars for water damage treatment. I don t think they even opened the phone or checked it. They said the phone main board is fried. I took it home, the phone goes online and sync mail, get fb messages, and rings, only damaged part was the screen. All in all, they just charge and not try. Take your business elsewhere read more

This guy is a prick. I went to him to get my iPhone screen fixed. I went in without calling ahead so I had no idea how much I should be expecting to pay. He specifically asked if I had called ahead to see if he could rip me off. He quoted me $129 plus tax. Being a college student without a car I accepted the price because he was my only option as he is close to my campus. While he was fixing my phone I had a friend call and ask for a price quote on the exact same repair and he quoted him $99 plus tax. I had to pay up front and I used my debit card so there was no way for me to get my money back. Take your business elsewhere. read more

I have had the bad luck of needing quick iPhone repair twice in the past month. The first time the screen had shattered - these guys fixed it within the hour as a walk-in, so convenient. The second time, they didn't have the part they needed, so he discounted it slightly since it wouldn't be same day service. When I came to get it, Fedex had been so late the tech had to leave for the day. The owner took pity on me and fixed it enough so I could use it for a couple of days before returning. These guys are nice, professional, and go the extra mile for their customers. I hate to need them, but they are great. Way cheaper and faster than Radio Shack or Apple. read more

Worst place to go!!!! they fixed my iPad screen and when I went to pick it up it was scratch all over in the back. My iPad was brand new with the exception of the screen being broken. I complained about it to the manager and also the fact that I was having difficulty typing in the screen he said he would give me a discount for next visit and also give me a free screen and iPad protector but that he had to order it. I waited so long for his call. He never called to tell me the screen and iPad protector was in I called, someone else answer saying he was not in I left two messages and then I gave up. It's being almost a 9 months and nothing. I say stay away!!! They don't take their customers serious and don't stand by their word. I think if i spended more money in the Apple Store I wouldn't be so unhappy with my iPad work by now. read more

If you are looking to get an Iphone 5 repaired, just take it to the apple store. I looked up their prices and it is less than 3/5 of what I paid these guys. They also claimed it would be an additional 200$ to make the power button (on top) work again, but I know for a fact that this part is available on line for under 5$. The two people working here were also rude and inconsiderate and had I not been extremely pushy and straight forward with them about a mistake they made while repairing my screen i would not have received the teeny tiny partial refund that i ended up demanding. I am not the type of person who normally gets into it with but after multiple trips to the store to pick up the phone which they had yet to finish in the time they said they would have, and after being shooed jokingly out of the store the first time, I was thoroughly unhappy. On being approached about their mistake one of the workers just flat out denied that he had caused it when it was quite obvious to everyone else he had. Overall, I would recommend taking your phone somewhere more legitimate. It will cost less and with any luck be a much more professional environment. read more

I brought my Iphone 4S in for repair and it was fixed within 45 minutes. Once I brought it home I noticed the camera light wasn't working so I contacted J at gadgetworx and he told me to bring it in so he could take a look. I was expecting that I was going to have to pay for the repair but to my surprise and delight, J replaced my camera free of charge. He told me because I had my screen fixed at his shop and the camera, which was working properly prior to the repair, wasnt working properly after that he would fix it free of charge. J runs an honest business and the next time I have an issue with any phone i will be bringing it to him. I highly recommend his shop read more

My husband's phone got run over by a car. I had heard of this store and thought it was worth a shot. Forget the price (WHICH WAS AMAZING). Go for the time savings! Apple Store takes days on end and once you're in there it takes at least an hour. This was done while my husband waited! The owner was there and my husband said he was so nice! If you want to be insulted, creeped out and ripped off, then go here. I had an Ipad screen replaced here several months ago for a lot of $$, but was generally happy with the service, in spite of prying personal questions from the manager...kinda creepy. Went back (with my guard up) for another repair and was thoroughly insulted twice during that visit so opted to go elsewhere. The new tech/company was incredibly professional, courteous and knowledgeable. They hesitated at first telling me a number of things they found that were done poorly and incorrectly by Gadgetworx. Given my experience there, I said, please, feel free to let me know. Apparently the glue used by GW is not the greatest (i.e. cheap) and would likely cause more problems down the road. That wasn't the worst of it, though; he found that a clip for the camera was not put back in when the screen was replaced. How would anyone ever know that unless or until another repair was needed? My new guys opinion is if Apple felt it important enough to put it in the first place, then it should go back in! I agree. He did say they managed to keep the inside of the Ipad clean when the changed out the glass...kinda surprising given how dirty the place is. Oh well. Thankfully there are many other great service providers out there! read more

We had heard about this shop and were happy not to have to go to Verizon. We had a shattered screen. TJ was great. He explained clearly to us the fix, the cost and how long it would take. TJ fixed it in a half hour. Long enough for my son and I to walk down and grab a coffee two shops down. We would highly recommend this company. read more

STAY AWAY!!! I have never been treated so rudely by any establishment. In addition, I brought my computer in for problem A, they returned it with a worse problem, and then tried to charge me an additional $150 on top of the initial $100 to fix a problem they created. I called Gadgetworx and asked them if they could fix my xbox. They told me that fixing the xbox would be $69.99 and they would probably need to replace the laser that reads the game. I got the xbox back the next day and they had not replaced the laser, only cleaned the xbox and adjusted some things inside. It had apparently worked for them, so I didn't argue because I didn't care as long as it worked. However, I plugged the xbox into my tv and the exact same problem occurred as when I had left it. So I took the xbox back with some of my games, so they could try it with mine. The person who fixes the xboxs wasn't in that day so I waited another day for their call. When they called me, they said that they would need to replace the laser and it would be another 50 dollars, even though they had told me they would replace the laser in the first place. So 120 dollars in my xbox finally got fixed, but they weren't truthful about the cost and it took longer than expected. read more

Ok. The second you walk into this place you should trust your gut and walk back out. It's half technology repair half vape shop. I cracked my iPhone 6s screen and brought it there to get it fixed. He said it would be done in a few hours and I could come back then to pick it up. When I got home and started using it, it was clear that something was wrong with it and that it didn't feel like a normal iPhone screen. I brought it back the next day and told him what was wrong so he quickly put a new screen on and asked me to try it in store. The screen was the same as the one I had just returned and I told him that. He said it may have been a bad batch of screens and those were the only two iPhone 6s screens he had in the store but he was getting another shipment tomorrow so I reluctantly said I would come back again for the third day. I came back and he put a "new" screen on my phone which worked just as terribly as the first two. I eventually asked him to just put my cracked screen back on my phone because I would rather have that since I knew it actually worked. He had already lost my old screen, so he put someones else's cracked screen on my phone and I could immediately tell that it worked completely normal. I've seen another review saying he uses cheap parts and I have to agree with whoever said that because the second he put a real, cracked iPhone screen on my phone, it worked fine. It was actually responding to my finger whereas his screens were fake pieces of garbage. I don't know where any of these 5 star reviews came from because never in my life would I recommend anyone to go here for a repair.
