Tony knows his job. He repaired my Samsung QN85QN90AAFXZA with care and class. The TV was big and heavy but he guided me patiently as I gave him a hand in lifting and laying it down on the carpet to expose the back of the TV. He removed the back cover with care and went through the power supply circuit identifying the two faulty transistors that had shorted. Just watching him in action gave the impression that he had repaired many such TVs before. He had parts on hand and he replaced them with care. His charges were extremely nominal considering he had traveled 25 miles and spent 3 hours fixing it. He gave me a paper invoice with 60 day warranty. The world needs more people like Tony. First time ever a tv had broken on me, we had had it for three years so we considered getting a new one but I found tony online and his prices were reasonable enough for us to ask him to come take a look. Thursday before the super bowl our nice year and half old flat screen in the living room broke. The battery in our remote died so we went to change the channel on the TV and with a simple push the buttons pushed right into the TV and got stuck. Several were pushed in and I assumed pushed down, so we could control the volume or power off the TV in fear that it wouldn't turn on. Since the TV wasn't old and wasn't totally broken we knew we weren't going to buy a new one. Unfortunately we were just out of warranty, and needed a repair man that could fix it fast. After a little bit of research on Yelp, Google, and Angie's List I sent a few emails and got some numbers to call in the morning. I connected with TonyMaxTV first thing in the morning, and since we were more concerned with the timing of this than the price I didn't really price out too many other options. It was $50 to have Tony come out and diagnose the problem, but that $50 could be put towards repairs if they were necessary, which seemed reasonable to me. Tony came to our apartment on Saturday. We had scheduled for 1pm, but Friday night he called to reschedule for 3pm. This wasn't a problem at all. He called us 15 minutes prior to his arrival on Saturday and was right on time. He was able to fix the buttons on the TV and tighten a loose HDMI port (the TV would lose the feed on occasion if you walked by it the right way). He was at our place for about 45 minutes. He was quick, efficient, clean and very, very courteous. The total cost for our repairs was $100 (including the initial $50 to come out). I've never had a TV repaired before so I can't really gauge the price, but it seems reasonable to have a $100 fix for nice flat screen TV. If we have any problems in the future with Televisions or Electronics in the house we will definitely use him. We recommend him to anyone else with problems. Tony came by to fix what we thought was a bulb issue on our Samsung. Turns out he needed to get a part for it so he came back. That part was not useable so he came back again! The second part didn't work either so this time he took the tv and got it working and brought it back for us. The part issue was not his fault. I will say that Tony spent at least 10 hours over 4 visits working to get our tv working. He had only charged us $50 for all those visits yet when he was done the labor was still far below what I thought it would be! Tony was fantastic. A transformer up the street was hit by lightening and the HDMI board on our Panasonic VT60 was fried. Tony tracked down the part, kept us posted on his progress and then scheduled a repair at night after I got home from work. The first board he received was defective, causing the tv to shut down after 20min. This is where he proved what an honest guy he is. He unplugged/replaced it and stuck around for another half hour only to have it happen again, at which point he took the entire thing apart, apologized profusely for the bum board he'd received, and reordered a new one. He could have easily bailed once the power came on without doing that, but he did right by us. His name is Tony and he is very polite and is willing to come to your house. He charges 50 to meet and trouble shoot what ever is wrong with it also the $50 is deducted to what ever the amount for repairs is. He tells you a rough estimate of how much the part will be to replace. In my case i had Vizio that needed a new power supply replaced. i put $60 down and it only took two days to get the part and $140 more to see my beautiful HDTV working also he includes a 60 day warranty.
