These sandwiches are huge! There are 3 sizes so I chose the medium sized cheesesteak and was stuffed. They are packed with tons of meat, which has a nice flavor to it. The sesame bun was toasted and crispy on the outside. The thing lacking was some creaminess from melted cheese. Some places melt the cheese into the meat, but not here, so the meat was the star of the show. But it became boring after awhile. I prefer mine as a sub with lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, banana peppers and oil and vinegar. But the mayo was very light, and the banana peppers were cooked into the meat so they were hot and added a nice spice to the meat, but I was missing the tangy, crisp bite of the peppers. So it was a good sandwich, and very large, but it lacked any character or defining qualities that would make me want to come back. read more

For the past three years, the Mount Laurel location was always my go-to Gaetano's for cheesesteaks, until today. I ordered two large cheesesteaks and appetizers. The large had only half the steak it normally had and the chicken fingers were almost burnt. When I called to let them know how disappointing the meal was, the manager offered one-half off the price for my next large. When I arrived at 5pm to pickup the cheesesteaks, he changed his offer to 25% off, saying it was a new order. (BTW, I could not bring the original ones back since my company had arrived after driving 4 hours and were ready to have their meal.) He said the steaks were portioned out, but mine were not portioned the same way as before. I have NEVER experienced an establishment that did not consider my inconvenience in driving back and forth, having a bad meal and going back on an offer. The worst customer service. I ordered my cheese steak and sat down for about 7 minutes before it was ready for pickup. Since the steak was cooked upon ordering, it was HOT! The meat was a moist, but by no means drips down your finger-lickin good. For me, I like my cheese steak to be super moist, super cheesy, and choke full of onions and mushrooms. This one was decent, but I've had better. The cheese tasted like your typical Kraft American cheese, the steak was a tad bit overcooked, and the roll was by no means exciting. I placed an order for the Philly Cheese Steak hoagie. The sizes are mini, small,medium, and large I think. I got a small--the second to smallest size and it was no where near SMALL it was Huge! So big I was able to share between my hubby, daughter and me. The steak in the sandwich tasted ok--it wasn't anything to brag about. For the size and price I would go back if I was in the area. Just moved to Mount Laurel but been to the Gaetano's in Berlin before and this was my first time here. I ordered a Chicken Cheesesteak and Curly Fries. The sandwich was very good and HUGE. I ate half of the sandwich and saved the rest for the my next meal. I also kept the curly fries for later because that portion was large. I spent under $20 and got 2 satisfying meals out of it. I ate at the place and was served by the counter girl, which was a nice touch. I got a wild cherry Pepsi too. Forget going to Philly. I've tried them all and this joint has the plumpest longest steak ever. Whiz or regular cheese, they are NEVER dry unlike certain Philly joints where the cheese doesn't melt unless you get whiz. The rolls are incredibly fresh and you always need a fork to get the meat that overflows. Only downfall is the price, but since they are a small business I get it. read more
