There's street parking and different structures you can park in as well. It's also on the second floor of a plaza, pretty easy to find. The inside is designed weird bc the front desk isn't obvious and you have to turn a corner to find it? There was only 1 person working that shift when I arrived. Apparently other people reserved 8pm too but they all were late so my social lane ended up being just me for a while before others joined. Sebastian did a great job of explaining the rules and he was super nice always coming around to check on me and the group of friends I randomly bumped into. He was very attentive and kind and funny! This is a great activity either for date night or a friends night out! I would definitely come come back with friends and utilize the Groupon again!

It took over a week for them to reply to my first email; that response said I needed to call. It took almost two weeks for them to return my call. They said I needed to go through their phone screening process (even though I wasn't planning to use their in-house counselors) and again it was a week before they called me to do that. I was then told someone would get back to me with some suggested contacts "in a week or two". That was two months ago and no one has responded to any calls or emails since. On one of my early calls I asked why they didn't have a standard list of providers for such inquiries like LGBTQ centers in other cities I've lived. I was told that the ones they work with don't want the general public to know they're LGBTQ. What is this - 1979? The Center may be OK if you need the computer lab or HIV test as other reviewers have written glowing reviews about those services. But don't waste your time otherwise.

It is kind of a miniature Dave and Busters with a lot of mechanical type games, some video games, and a big carousel in the middle. We played some air hockey, skeet ball, and a few "drop the claw to grab a prize" games. One of the staff members was restocking an identical machine that we were playing next to us and he gave us a wink and said he'd leave a few items in an easy position which was nice of him. Of course we took advantage of his kindness and nabbed a few small stuffed animals. To play the games, you put cash or a credit card into the token machine and get a plastic token card to use with the various games. I just put in $20 and it was a fun way to kill 20 minutes.

Saw the advertisement on TV that OC Fair is coming to the area between July 17-August 16. The…read moreminute I saw that, I told my son WE ARE GOING before the 16th of this month!! I love things like this..Amusement parks, arcades, rides etc.. So on July 29th at 3:05 pm, we entered their HUGE parking lot and parked our car very near to the Fair. Parking was $15.00 even. Which I thought was not too bad for parking. I have seen worse. Approached the Will Call window to pick up our tickets that we have purchased on line 2 weeks prior. $12.00 each. Prices are different for adults, seniors and kids. Once we got inside the Fair, my adrenaline was kicking SO bad out of excitement. My son was just standing there looking at me with a cute smile. I am more of a kid when it comes to stuff like this than he is. We decided to get a wristband for both of us. Each cost $54.00 for unlimited rides, few games and other attractions. We practically got on every ride and played few games. The place has 2 Amphitheaters. From which one was the Hanger that I did a different review on for Tom Petty's tribute. It has over 50 rides and 30 games to play. Also has little snack shops all around, but not an actual restaurant for people to sit down and have lunch/dinner.. It also has multiple restrooms inside and outside of the Fair.. Used 3 of them and were super clean with all the essentials fully stocked. Park was very clean, not too crowded and had a great vibe to it from everyone. 90% of employees were kind, sweet, and very helpful. They have a different section for Art exhibits that is really worth checking it out. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the park is open until 11pm for our convenience. We shot down the park and left 10 minutes before 11pm. I am so glad and happy that we went. If I lived close by, I would probably be there at least 3x a week. Parking lot was accessed by gate 10,and typical of the fairgrounds, Parking is seemingly always $15 for any event for the past few years. Some parking close to the entrance was available. This is in addition to the fees for the event you're attending. Id strongly recommend car pooling if possible. It's worth noting that the ground was recently slurry sealed so dark black which was fairly hot on an 80 degree day. Be prepared for quite a bit of walking, the fairgrounds are quite spread out so it can be something of a hike to get from one area to another. Japan fest was nice, lots of Asian food offerings leaning toward Japanese cuisine however there were Korean Vietnamese, and Chinese food available as well. Quite a few anime booths, clothing stands, toys, and knick knacks. Most of the festival was outdoors but there were 2 air conditioned buildings with booths that offered some respite from the sun and heat. The restroom facilities are actual permanent buildings, not port o potties which is great. Flush toilets and regular sinks for hand washing is a fantastic improvement over port a potties in my opinion. I'll be back.

Had a chance to see my first Long Beach baseball game on a Wednesday night celebrating Filipino…read moreheritage night. It was a lot of fun, and our group of four had a great time. Blair Field was built in 1956, and has been the home of the Long Beach State 'Dirtbags' baseball team since 1993. The field was named after the sports editor of the local paper, who was a champion for the field to be built. After a significant contribution from a longtime supporter, the infield was named Bohl Diamond at Blair Field in 2017. The 'Dirtbags' are a college Division I baseball team, with some alumni that have done very well at the MLB level. Two of them have had parts of the stadium named after them (Tulowitzki Batting Facility and Weaver Bullpen). It has also been the home of the new professional Pioneer League baseball team, the Long Beach Coast (aka Regulators) since 2026 (this game was part of the inaugural season). The Pioneer League is an independent league (not directly tied to MLB team), but is an official MLB partner league, and consists of 12 teams across the Western U.S. The opponent tonight were the Missoula Paddleheads, coming all the way from Missoula, Montana. The stadium seats 3,238 fans, with some distinct sections. The most expensive are the Backstop Club, 6 boxes of 2 rows of 3, right behind home plate, costing $48.36. Behind those are HomePlate Reserved, $27.20. The field box seats consist of 2 rows of 3, closest to the field on both the first and third base lines, and cost $43.07. Behind those are Baseline Reserved for $19.79. All of these have individual, numbered chairs. The rest are bleachers (metal seats with no dividers between seats). The Bleacher Reserved are just behind the HomePlate Reserved, with metal benches as seats (bringing seat cushions isn't a bad idea), but having seatbacks. They were 50% off this Tuesday (normally $20.54 but $10.27 tonight), and those were the 4 that I purchased via their dedicated website. Tickets were delivered via an email, and were easy to transfer to my Apple Wallet for easy scanning. General Admission seats behind the Baseline Reserved were just $2 tonight (normally $16.62). This is the way to go. Season ticket holders have some advantages in that they gain entry to the stadium parking lot (single game have to park on the street around the area), and are allowed to enter the stadium early (others have to wait till 1 hour before game time). Thus we waited till 5:35, at which point they let us in. First was a security check (no backpacks allowed), a metal detector. Then a scan of your ticket. Once entered, we noticed a lot of Filipino themed food vendors. Foodologie, Gemmae, and Teofilo Coffee were all there. The smell of fried Shanghai-style lumpia was pretty prevalent throughout the night. It made us happy to see this Filipino staple being shared by baseball fans while watching the game. Before the start of the game, there were two performances of traditional Filipino dances, the presentation of Filipino beauty queens, the throwing out of the first pitch by a prominent Filipino community leader, and the singing of the national anthems (Filipino and United States), both by two different Filipino singers. As one can imagine, the three Filipinas sitting next to me were very happy. As for the game itself, the Coast lost 1-3 this night, with the game lasting about 2.5 hours. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Plus our neighbor made it big by appearing on the "jumbotron" TWICE, with her dancing (that's when I understood why she wanted to be sitting on the aisle). She was chosen 'fan of the game' and got two complementary tickets for a future ball game. Some negatives were the poor announcing of what was happening during the game by the PA, and with the really, really small display of the current balls/strikes/outs on the jumbotron. There was a long delay (seemed like 10 minutes, though probably shorter) at the bottom of the 8th inning, when the game just stopped for apparently no reason...the players stayed on the field, but the umpiring crew of three just wouldn't let the game continue. The PA system started time filling events as if it was between innings to keep the fans pre-occupied, so they must have known what was going on. But the baseball fans didn't...finally, we got irritated enough to start chanting 'Let's play ball...Let's play ball'. That got the umpires attention, as if it was the first time he noticed that there were fans waiting. Baseball is a game of hand signals, and I had no clue what the crew chief signaled to the press box when the game restarted. I was expecting an explanation from the PA, but nada...the game continued as if the delay was normal. But the views and atmosphere was good enough for all four of us to want to stay for the entire game. Plus got to see a 95 mph fastball from behind home plate. It wasn't too difficult to leave the parking lot, and we got home in under 30 minutes.

I always pass by this place when I take my son to FunParx (formerly Ninja Warrior Adventure) but…read morenever felt like going in because it's so dark and empty inside. I didn't even know what this place was. Thought it was some kind of a place to play video games, but it turns out it's a shooting range using Airsoft guns and plastic pellets. You shoot targets and can win prizes at the end depending on how many targets you knock down. It's a small place that can accommodate six players at a time. It's good for both kids and adults, although I think kids should be at least six years of age. They do have some foot stools for shorter kids. Price is based on which cartridge you purchase. Forgot to take photo of the price list but I think it ranged between $15-$40. I got the $20 deal which I think was for either 120 or 140 pellet cartridge. They have some goggles you can use if you are concerned about pellets bouncing back from the target, but we didn't notice any issues during our visit. I will probably just bring my own next time because I'm not sure how often this place cleans them. I will be back since my son really enjoyed his first experience here. I will probably join him next time.

Half of the targets don't fall over when you hit them, the staff doesn't help you make the guns work, they are completely uninterested UNTIL you try to reload bb's into the mag and THEN suddenly they're right there to tell you you can't do that. This was a one and done experience, compete rip off to begin with but it's compounded by the issues with the guns and the staff.
