This is a fun little arcade located at Shoreline Village. We had some time to kill before dinner so we spent a little time here. It is kind of a miniature Dave and Busters with a lot of mechanical type games, some video games, and a big carousel in the middle. We played some air hockey, skeet ball, and a few "drop the claw to grab a prize" games. One of the staff members was restocking an identical machine that we were playing next to us and he gave us a wink and said he'd leave a few items in an easy position which was nice of him. Of course we took advantage of his kindness and nabbed a few small stuffed animals. To play the games, you put cash or a credit card into the token machine and get a plastic token card to use with the various games. I just put in $20 and it was a fun way to kill 20 minutes. read more

This Arcade was such a busy arcade in Shoreline Village, Long Beach, CA. I took a local tourist trip out to Long Beach because I wasn't driving out to WeHo, CA., this week, saving time. Any ways, they had lots of varieties of games here from TV shows and movies like Jurassic Park. There was a Super Mario game too. They were large enough to fit a huge Merry-Go-Round. Their attractive prizes drew a huge crowd in today on Friday, 03/22/24. This Arcade was located right across from Shoreline Village's 'Ultimate Escape Room,' games so super easy to locate. read more

I've been to many arcades, and have never been ripped off so badly. There's a minimum of $5 to load on the card they require for every game, every game is over priced and for $4, you get 1 game of air hockey! There was l$1 left over on the card, I couldn't use it on any game, not even the claw machine that had tiny items of like 1 inch. I ended up giving the card to someone else so they could add theirs. Will not visit again, over priced. read more

Full disclosure: I love arcades. I am super old school though because my favorite games were the Simpsons game, Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat....these were the games my brother and I used to play at 7/11. I know I'm dating myself but does anyone else remember when 7/11 used to have video games or is it just me?? With that said, I never knew this little arcade existed. (The beach arcades I went to growing up were the ones in Redondo Beach and Santa Monica) but this arcade was a good place to spend a little time and a lot of money. I bought a $20 card and my kids played 10 or so games in less than 20 minutes. Because they only accumulated 180 tickets during that time, i forked over another $10. The only things I didn't like is that none of the games had prices. I had no idea if they were playing a $1 game or a $3 game.... Another quirky, odd thing was that the vast majority of the games we played just loaded the tickets on your game card, similar to a Vegas Casino player cards. But a few of them had paper tickets, which you have to feed into the ticket counting machine, and load back on the card. The last game we played was the monopoly game where you roll the big dice, and somehow my 2 year old won 400 (real) tickets with one spin. My kids were ecstatic to win that many tickets but impatient/confused by the 400 real tickets that were spat out because prior to playing that game, I kept telling them that the tickets were just saved to the card. It made mom look like a liar. Lol. Overall, it was $30 well spent because it took me back to happier, simpler times and my kids had such a blast. read more

This place was great! We went to the Shoreline district with family and just walked around. We came across this arcade and stopped to check it out. 1. Extremely clean: there was even an employee walking around cleaning and disinfecting 2. All the games were functioning: often these places have put-of-service units but not this one 3. Employees were extremely friendly and helpful 4. Open air environment is great 5. Loved all the things they had for toddlers to do 6. The pelican Pier pavilion arcade has been a shoreline village staple for decades. Anyone who walks through the village has been there. The place is small but houses a vintage carousel, which has to be the only original piece there. When I moved to Long Beach in 97, it had lots of classic coin-op machines. You need a play card that you can keep reloading with credits. They have a decent variety of games, with most of them aimed towards a younger audience, but they kept classics such as basketball, skee ball, and air hockey. Prizes vary, but it's almost standard with every arcade you go to. It's small, but it's perfect where it is, and draws a lot of people to Shoreline Village. Now more than ever is the right time to come and visit since Long Beach is modernizing everything. The city has approved the redevelopment of Shoreline Village, so Pelican Pier's final days may be upon us sooner than later. I will always love the village and the arcade. read more

We love coming here. And I'm sad that soon it will be no more. Our last visit we were informed that sometime this summer they will be shutting down most of the shoreline area to make it more "modern" and the arcade will not be returning because the city plans on building a parking lot in its place. It's so sad to see one of the last beach arcades to end this way. read more

My friend and I stopped by this place because we were at Shoreline Village. We sort of stumbled upon this place. We arrived on a Saturday at 6:30pm. It was half packed, which is nice because it's boring if you're there when it's quiet but you don't want it extremely packed with kids. If you're in your twenties or thirties, this place is like a walk down through memory lane. Many of the games were played in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Dance Dance Revolution!! I use to be a pro at this. My friend and I gave it a shot....it's been over 5 years so we were very rusty but still had a blast. There were newer machines like Deal or No Deal. Also, the typical machines like basketball, skee ball, coin dozer, etc. There is a big merry go round right in the middle and prize station toward the side. The tokens are approximately 4 for $1. Each game is about 2-4 tokens. I played the block game where you stack them in a pile. It was my first time playing and got the major prize! My very first time!! The prize selection here is pretty big. For 1170 tickets ($10 worth), we redeemed a basketball. There were other things like small appliances, toys, stickers, candy, etc. There was nothing special about this place, but if you're dropping by with your family it's a fun place to hang out. Mostly redemption games, and not a great variety of them. If you're looking for an old school arcade experience with actual video games, this is not it. That said it's a decent distraction for kids for a while, although the pricing is obfuscated through the credits system which makes it hard to tell how far your money will go. We came for the carousel. 20 "tokens" for 1 ride. If you only spend $5, that's only 16 tokens, but for $10, you get 40 tokens. It was fast. Luckily the 3yo didn't start complaining to come down until the ride was ending. The 7yo thought it was too fast as well. No one wanted to ride a second time. Not sure what the current going rate for arcade games are these days, but the few games I saw was 6 tokens which if you're not planning to spend a lot of money, will come out to be $1.50-$2/game. read more

Really good little arcade. They have almost all the games your kids age 5-14 would want to play, and even fun little skills games you as parents can play. Trust I spent a good $30 bucks trying to beat some of them as lost to the house; Vegas style. Kids had a blast and the all the machines are up to date and the same as you'd find in the malls and Vegas hotels like Excalibur, and Circus Circus. Your best bet on tickets is the spinner style game and most of the skills games obviously. They have good prizes for the kids and right outdoor you can have your kids take a photo with a bunch of cool tropical birds for $25 bucks right outside. The only negative side is the manager needs to hire more people and should never schedule everyone to go on break during peak hours and leave one employee to run it all. All the staffers are great folks though and very nice! Had fun there and will be back read more

This is an old school arcade. It kind of reminds me of the early 1900's where I saw pictures of old Santa Monica Pier with the carousel building. There wasn't a lot of games there but enough to have fun. It wasn't busy when I went with the nephew after we ate at the Yard House. Some of the games they had were games to get tickets/tokens for one. There was a whack a mole type game and other game of chance types too like ski ball (who doesn't like ski ball?) There was that Stacked game but no middle prizes, got to win those tickets to get something (usually they pack it with Ipod Nano). Other type of arcade games were some racing games. Oh yeah they had 2 air hockey games. There aren't too many arcades left. Redondo Beach Fun Factory is the only thing left and Santa Monica Pier (not sure if they have something like this besides the roller coaster and etc). read more

I love to bring out of town guest to this arcade-spend $10.00 and they are all happy. Nice selection of eat-your-token games, bowling is my favorite. Be aware. Be careful. The debit/credit machine that you buy chips from doesn't give accurate amounts of tokens. The skii ball machine only gave two balls. While the staff were helpful in resolving these issues, it dawns on me that a fair few have probably lost money due to these shady "problems." read more

We came on Sunday to play, we had 50 dollars each of us chipped in but each 10 we inserted it only gave us those tokens we went to the booth and showed the staff member our money, for 50 dollars you get a total of 225 tokens, that's 25 free tokens they give you, we had to explain to the guy it wouldn't let us first enter money in to get up to 50 dollars, after debating and slowly explaining our situation we were finally given the 25 tokens then after that fiasco we wanted to ride the carousel but they wanted to charge us extra money after we dropped 50 bucks for arcade tokens, this place is a rip the token machines are garbage a member in our party demanded to speak to a manager about the inconvenience and they called the arcade owned who hung up on our friends, rude owner with a clueless staff and outdated token machines, we won't be returning to this shitshow read more

I must call out one of the employees. Pablo. He was so helpful when we had a problem with our token purchases. The machine I used gave me 20 tokens for a $20 purchase. Despite his reservation to assist with fixing the issue because I couldn't prove the purchase on my credit card app, he was very professional and patient and gave us the balance despite. He was multitasking and helping everyone with a smile on his face.
