And then came the shock when I was presented with the bill for $330.00 after the $129.00 service charge was deducted. What a chutzpah. He opens the refig up he looks in take the temp Gage off take a pic and a pic of my serial & model number. Tell me he would be back. Scam artist and do not know what he is doing …read more.. My Heating System went offline and i put a request on Thumbtack. I was contacted by Anas and he mentioned he had 7 yrs of experience. I read reviews and most recent was disappointing. Since no one else contacted me and txt me saying he can come in urgently. I hired him for the job. He did some diagnostics for 30 mins and quoted $450 to repair. Didnt mention what exactly was the problem. I denied that i cannot pay this amount as i he didnt explain the issue. He finally quoted to $300 and promissed that until issue is fixed he will not go and will make sure all is working. Since it is heating issue in Winter, i had no choice but to agree. He spent 2-3 hours, got the Furnace to turn ON and said all he good. I checked and it was working and blowing air, I didnt check it was not blowing HOT Air. (my mistake) I paid him, he left. The system was running whole night but it was not heating and thus i contacted him back. Its been 48 hours, he hasnt returned and now asking money to come. ================================================================= Yes. have been texting him for last 2 days. He is not responding to calls and keep telling me he fixed the issue and it is not HVAC issue. He says it is thermostat issue.. which makes me belive he is not experienced and a scammer.
