This is a little hidden gem in Vaughn, the staff here are phenomenal! We requested to be seated outside and the team even thought it was a pretty busy morning set up a new table for us upon request. I ordered the three eggs with toast and home fries, and this was just a simple and delicious meal, my eggs I like over easy, but the whites cooked all the way through the the yolks runny, which is what they did, the fries were crunchy and had an interesting flavour profile, I don't know what it reminds me of but it was a great blend of spices. The potato's were fried and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, exactly what your craving for in your breakfast fries. I ordered the rye toast, this had a little more butter than I would have liked. I also liked that our meals came with ketchup without having to ask for it. I was a little disappointed in the orange juice, I thought it was going to be freshly but it wasn't. But dessert more than made up for it. We had a delightful cheese cake topped with strawberries, this was the perfect ending to our meal. The staff went above and beyond my expectations during the pandemic, our server was an older gentle man, he didn't use anything to write our orders down, but everything came to us as we ordered it, we were impressed with this man. The hostess was polite and the restaurant was decorated to have a 60's feel which came through with all of the unique pieces on the wall. This place is a definite top pick for me!

Still one of my favourite breakfast diners in Woodbridge! The place is huge no waiting to be seated. Fast service and friendly staff. Clean and got a upgrade on the tables! Large portions and very fresh and hot food! Keep up the good work! Never had a bad breakfast!

Great place to go to for breakfast! best bang for your buck. Food is alright can't complain, the place is just needs a bit of a renovation. Food is fresh and made fast. Can never go wrong with a classic breakfast. At peak hours and weekends it's busy so might be hard to get seating. Also the service might be a bit slow as well but I try to go when it's not busy. Love coming here though and will always come back

My rating scale is 1 star= atmosphere 0 star= cleanliness 0 star= price 1 star= food and the final 0 star= service. We ate between 11:30am and 12:30pm on a Saturday. The place was about half full. The 50's feel is apparent when you walk in. The noise level was very high as there were a lot of families with kids and a lot of screaming. This location is cozy and I don't mean in a good way. The aisles are squishy and the tables are very close together. Poor waiters/waitresses who have to squeeze their way through the aisles and and patrons are so close to each other every conversation can be heard. The young man who lead us to a table and cleaned tables looked like he really didn't want to be there. He was just filling in time. At least that was my impression. My husband and I have never been here. We were sat at a table that was WET and took forever to dry. Pretty gross and if anyone there had their Food Handlers certificate then they would know this isn't right. Our server came right away and I got a sticky paper menu which was pretty gross. My cutlery wrapped in a napkin was placed on a wet table wiped with God knows what. Gross. We got a coffee and a tea served right away but my hot water wasn't enough to even fill the cup so I had to ask for more. When I filled the cup there was enough tea left for probably 3/4 of a cup. When I went to pick up the cup to drink my tea the handle was all sticky. Gross. We ordered two Great Canadian Breakfasts to eat there and two Classic Combos to go for tomorrow's breakfast. The food came promptly and was hot and everything tasted great. The bacon was nice and salty but the peameal bacon tasted like someone dumped the salt shaker on it. Yikes! Was difficult to eat. The waitress asked us if we would like white or brown bread. I saw later that others had rye or something else, which we would have preferred, but were never given that option. Our meals included flapjacks. She asked if we would like it with blueberries or chocolate chip banana. We were never told that this option was ANOTHER $2.00 or I would have forgone that option and had them plain. She knew it was our first time here. The meals don't come with a coffee or a tea, that's another $3.09. I would say this is comparable to Denny's and Cora's in quality and portion size. Just as we started eating we were brought our "To Go" food which I found a little odd but didn't say anything as I was glad not to have to wait for it and we weren't rushing to eat it then anyway. While looking around the decor and atmosphere was typical of any 50's place I've been to before. It looked older which is exactly what it should be. When our meal was done, we had to put some of it with tomorrow's breakfast because with the pancakes and full meal it was just too much to eat for the both of us. We could probably have split one and been more than happy. I opened my to go meal and something was not right. I was given the incorrect meal so it was taken back to be corrected. The table of 6 beside us were at the end of their meal when we arrived. When we were done our meal she promptly cleared the table, including the second tea I never got to drink but paid for. She never even asked if we wanted anything more or if I wanted to finish my tea. When we left the table of 6 beside us were still drinking coffee and gabbing away but she removed my tea and so I guess that was a way of waying, "Thanks how get lost". I guess my $100+ wasn't as good as the people next to us that paid for two more breakfasts than we did. That's how I felt, like I was being pushed out of the door. I paid the bill, which was $89.95 for four breakfasts. Pretty pricey. I didn't check the bill because my husband had looked it over and I assumed he checked it. Turns out he didn't. We left a cash tip so the server wouldn't be taxed on it at source although looking back I would have left no tip at all if I could do it again. When I got home I noticed the bill was wrong. We had 2 x 2 combos. Two were at $16.49 plus $6.18 for a coffee and tea, two times $2 for wanting blueberries and chocolate chips on the flapjacks, and two at $15.99. What we were charged for was THREE at $16.49 and ONE at $15.99. I know it's not much difference but that's not the point is it? With everything else that was just the icing on the cake for me. We definitely will NOT EVER be going back here because of our first and only bad experience. I posted my receipt and all sides of the menu and looking back at pre c0v1d pricing the meals have gone up by about $5 each and the coffee went up considerably. Price increase BIG TIME. Yup, I'm done. Cooking at home moving forward. Wendy's has a nice breakfast now. I had read other reviews before deciding to come here. That was pre c0v1d and they say there were line ups to get into this place. There were no line ups for lunch on a Saturday nor did we have to wait to be seated as it was half empty.

I've eaten here a few times... value for your dollar is as good as it gets. I tend to try to avoid fried foods, but if you're looking for a great classic breakfast joint that has good quality bacon and eggs, this place is it. Milkshakes are decent... and I like that they give you the extra in the metal container that they make the shake in. Delicious. I usually stick to the Canadian breakfast... two HUGE pancakes, eggs, bacon, Peameal, home fries and more for $10 - can't go wrong! The pancakes are great too - cooked to perfection. Service is a bit slow at times... which I would give it an extra star if they would just smile :) Should you go check the place out? YES. I go back on a regular basis, and the kids seem to LOVE going here - and it's super affordable... a total throwback to an old style diner with newer decor etc.

    Cute menu

Cute diner for lazy weekend breakfast :) the server was incredibly friendly especially for a busy place. I love the retro theme (a typical theme for diners) but the menu was so cute! Anyways onto the food. The home fries were good, my eggs Benedict was delicious but the fruit was a bit stale. I would definitely come back for more though.

Great breakfast in a casual restaurant set in the '50s. As you walk in you are transported back in time to the era of poodle skirts, Marlyn Monroe and Elvis. You might have to wait a bit during peak hours but you will be seated, there is no seat yourself done here. Mon-Fri before 11am gets you the Breakfast Special for $3.99 It includes: 3 eggs, bacon or sausage, homefries and toast (white, brown or rye) I have also eaten Chicken fingers and fries as well as their burger and their BLT Wrap. Although the lunch menu is good, I love their all day breakfast. I have gone to many breakfast places and I always come back here, it just doesn't compare with the quality and quantity you get. Just think for $3 you get a breakfast sandwhich assembled at a drive-thru, for a dollar more you could have a full breakfast, served hot and fresh!

One of the few breakfast place where you can still get the most bang for your buck. Plus the pancakes are actually fire here.

Our bills were mixed up a few times and it took a bit of back-and-forth to get everything corrected. Not the end of the world, just annoying when everyone's ready to leave. Food: 4/5 The food was genuinely good and came out in a reasonable time. Classic brunch options done well, and it held up even with us sitting there forever catching up as a group. They also had a holiday drink menu, which sounded fun in theory, but it didn't really live up to expectations. That said, it was free, so it's hard to be too dramatic about it. Overall: solid brunch food, good place to linger with friends, but expect a little friction when splitting the bill.

The vegan toast I found to be lacking compared to the other Pür&Simple locations I have been to. Our server Kim was very distracted and busy and seemed overwhelmed. I do love the plant decor though that trends throughout the chain.

The restaurant is in more of a business park area, so maybe it gets pretty busy for lunch. There was plenty of parking when we arrived and our wait to be seated was about 1-2 minutes. We were shown to a table and given menus. The menu is quite extensive so there is something for everyone. My sister and I found many items we wanted to try, so we opted to share two items. We ordered the breakfast triple decker club (with fries), my sister got the fried chicken benny (with home fries), my son a cheeseburger with only pickles. We figured with two types of potatoes my son could just enjoy some of our sides. First off, the portions were large. I ate two pieces of the sandwich and half the benedict, I was struggling to finish, but it was so tasty, I didn't want to leave any behind. The sandwich was perfectly toasted and load with all sorts of good toppings. The benny, was amazing. The chicken was a freshly breaded and fried cutlet and the ham was perfect. Really this was one of the best benedicts I have had. The home fries were fine, just deep fried pieces of potato, but the fries were fresh cut fries that were perfectly made. My son absolutely loved his burger, he said it was one of the best he had. Honestly the meat was glistening and looked tasty. Everyone ate until they were stuffed and we still had some of the home fries left. We all left happy and full. Service was good. Everyone was friendly, the food arrived in a timely manner. I have no complaints on the service. I also thought the prices were good considering the portions and quality. If this restaurant existed where I lived, I would make this part of my brunch restaurant list.

4.5 rounding up to 5…read more I've been a patron for decades and in fact thought I'd left my two cents on the table here years ago. I've been in a little more often recently, so here we finally are. The restaurant is situated in the heart of southern end of Colossus plaza, along with ample parking and patio tables that are sheltered by solid plexi partitions and umbrellas. When you go in, you'll be greeted and invited to choose a table. Water and menus arrive shortly. Recently, they've developed a rotation of daily specials which are quite a bang for the buck. On my latest visit, I opted for the $9.95 Friday fish and chips, which came with cole slaw and of course, tartar sauce and lemon. You can also choose from regular or malt vinegar. I was really impressed with it. The portions were not skimpy, except maybe the slaw, but I really liked the dressing on it foe being neither too salty nor sour. I like that their fries have the skins on. They are cooked nicely. My daughter went with the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and an upgrade of poutine, which she ordered because she liked it so much the last time. It's not a bad deal for $26. She also had a strawberry daiquiri, $10, which was up to and over the brim, and very tasty. The lime and strawberry garnishes were super fresh and tasty. I stuck with Coke Zero. I appreciate that it comes with refills. The staff are friendly, attentive and professional. While our server took care of most of our needs, two other different staff also filled in to bring out food and drinks. I like that they work as a team to ensure customers are well taken care of. My biggest recommendation for improvement would be replacing a number of the bench seats that need either surgery or to be put out of their misery. I know this place has been around for ages, but it doesn't need to look like it's gonna die from neglect. The rest of the decor is actually beautiful, and I love the mix of windows and low light. So long as prices don't get higher, I can keep looking forward to enjoying this venue. It's a solid return-to place for me.

The store has booth - chair table seating so you could sit with just 2 people at a time at a table or join the tables for larger groups. The Taiwanese sausage bun was featured as the bun of the month. The promotions do not stack so you get the best available deal. In my case, it was the 25% off. 2 of the savoury croissants we had were just crispy dry. When I eat a croissant, I expect something moist and buttery. This was neither.
