My sister, son and I were looking for something in the area for a late breakfast. I found this restaurant on Yelp, of course and we decided to stop in. The restaurant is in more of a business park area, so maybe it gets pretty busy for lunch. There was plenty of parking when we arrived and our wait to be seated was about 1-2 minutes. We were shown to a table and given menus. The menu is quite extensive so there is something for everyone. My sister and I found many items we wanted to try, so we opted to share two items. We ordered the breakfast triple decker club (with fries), my sister got the fried chicken benny (with home fries), my son a cheeseburger with only pickles. We figured with two types of potatoes my son could just enjoy some of our sides. First off, the portions were large. I ate two pieces of the sandwich and half the benedict, I was struggling to finish, but it was so tasty, I didn't want to leave any behind. The sandwich was perfectly toasted and load with all sorts of good toppings. The benny, was amazing. The chicken was a freshly breaded and fried cutlet and the ham was perfect. Really this was one of the best benedicts I have had. The home fries were fine, just deep fried pieces of potato, but the fries were fresh cut fries that were perfectly made. My son absolutely loved his burger, he said it was one of the best he had. Honestly the meat was glistening and looked tasty. Everyone ate until they were stuffed and we still had some of the home fries left. We all left happy and full. Service was good. Everyone was friendly, the food arrived in a timely manner. I have no complaints on the service. I also thought the prices were good considering the portions and quality. If this restaurant existed where I lived, I would make this part of my brunch restaurant list. read more

Awesome Restaurant! We recently went for breakfast on a Thursday (American Thanksgiving) while we were in the area. We were looking for a tasty breakfast as we had been eating at our hotel each morning. Vaughan City Grill did not disappoint! I got the breakfast triple decker club, my sister got the fried chicken benny and my nephew got the burger. The waitress stated their burgers are very good. She was right. The burger was definitely a homemade not frozen patty and was so juicy. My nephew ate it all very quickly. My sandwich was very tasty. My sister and I split the sandwich and the benny. The fried chicken benny was very good as well! It has think slices of the pea meal bacon and fried chicken breast. The hollandaise was great! Everything we had was lovely! the service was wonderful and we really enjoyed our breakfast. The prices are great for what you get and I would absolutely go back! read more

Sat on their patio in the sun and ordered the specials, eggs Benedict with avocado and bacon and my companion had pancakes with apples cinnamon and mascarpone. Nice little place that had good ratings so I decided to place an online order for Father's Day morning. They had a lot of your staple breakfast items so if you want a regular breakfast, there are many choices. The salmon eggs Benedict seem to be saltier than others I've tried. Also, my home fries were a bit hard. Because I ordered for takeout, I wasn't surprised that they were cold (obviously I had to drive home then eat it) so that might've been why but they could've been more softer and smoother to bite into. Lemon ricotta pancakes were great. They came with a side of assorted fruit which tasted good as well. The big breakfast was also pretty much wiped clean (someone else ate it) but they mentioned that the bacon was a tad bit salty. Bacon is already salty in itself but they said it was way more saltier than bacon should be. Overall, a nice place to grab some quick breakfast. Came here Christmas Eve day and they had excellent service and food options. Came here with a group of 6. Friendly family run business. Great flavourful food. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict, with hollandaise sauce on the side. The portions were++ generous and very filling. They even gave an extra side of house style potatoes (because there wasn't enough room on the plate!). I recommend this place :) parking is readily available in their lot, for free. Family friendly. The atmosphere is diner like but homey. There is ample seating that is great for big groups. FOOD: 2/5 I ordered the Chicken & Waffles. This was a very disappointing dish. The waffle that came out was sad and soggy. It was already deflating by the time the waitress set it down and my friends commented that it looked like a pancake. The chicken was surprisingly fried very well and tasty. SERVICE: 2.5/5 The efficiency of the restaurant was okay. But then the servers began to HOVER. We'd be in the middle of a conversation and someone would come by with a coffee pot. After refilling or declining we'd return back to our conversation. I came here for a Boxing Day brunch with some friends and had the yogurt parfait and shared the special pancakes (I believe they were blueberry lemon ricotta that day), and they were great! The Vaughan City Grill was a fantastic place to come for breakfast. Very warming excellent service and excellent food with many options to choose from their menu including weekend specials. To drink I had ordered their iced coffee. Very well made and very refreshing. I ordered the Pancake Breakfast Special which included two pancakes, two eggs, choice of sausage or bacon (I went with the sausage) and a nice portion of home fries. Everything was wonderful. Pancakes were nice and fluffy and the home fries were perfectly crisp. My wife's breakfast looked fantastic as well. She got the Avocado Toast Supreme Special. She was very impressed. Waitress is friendly and has provided a good service. Ordered a Jerk Chicken Benny for breakfast because it's recommended by the waitress. In addition, this dish is a special item for the day. I do admit that I have ordered a wrong item. Jerk chicken and benny did not really match one another. I ordered chicken and waffles and opted for the spicy syrup which was basically syrup with franks. Maybe try infusing with jalapeños to make it unique? Coffee was bland and being a breakfast place coffee should be your #1 priority. The only thing that can make or break a breakfast place is its coffee. Very clean and friendly establishment. Washrooms were very clean and offered little amenities for you to enjoy which was very generous and thoughtful. There was tv's everywhere so you can catch up on your dose of CP24. My only complaint was that my smoked salmon was extremely fishy so It did not taste fresh. Horrible breakfast and not great service. Food came out cold and the hollindaise sauce was made from powder and bland. Their home fries were dry and burnt with no seasoning not even oil or bacon fat they seemed to be baked dry plain potatoes. We had a 3 year old with us and other children were given coloring but for some reason we werent. The ketchup on our table was empty and when we asked for some they were all out and we got ketchup packages. First off, my friends and I were at the door not greeted for 10 minuets and it was not even busy. Then I had to send back food that was undercooked, workers did not respond nicely and I could see them talking poorly, even though it was clearly raw . Management sits down with customers and is not very helpful. I paid $4 for a Orange Juice and they did not even fill the cup 85% of the way . very disappointed. I do not see how this place got high reviews based on poor service and uncooked food. I think there are better places for brunch. read more
