After calling around to a couple of places and being told a number of times I could only get the work done at a dealer, Continental Transmission was able to quote me with a slightly lower rate for my car. Having been recommended to this shop by some friends I decided to go with them! To replace it they needed to tow my car to the dealer only to reprogram it, but overall they were able to get the job done at a lower rate than it would have been had I tried to take my car anywhere else. To that I am very grateful! It took about a week or so for them to get all of the work done. They called me when the work was finished and now my car is running the way it should be! The staff here was very friendly, they were straightforward with informing me of all of the things they had done to my car. No gender bias at all! I would definitely recommend this shop for any kind of serious transmission work.

One of the mechanics from the shop came out immediately to analyze my vehicle and fixed the problem at the shop. He fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes. I was very please with the quality of service and the great value I received from this business. I would highly recommend this business to people in the community. I was very satisfied with the mechanic taking the time to explain the problem, providing me with options, and fixing the problem expediently.

Well, they were incorrect, Top Value Transmissions got in touch with me and let me know that they take care of that. Amy, the owner wasn't sure if that was gonna be the actual problem or not until she saw it for herself. So I brought my van out there, it's borderline wheatfield and Niagara Falls, New York.. She had to order the part because I did in fact need the sensor, and it took six days to get there, so I went without a van, but I could've gotten it if I wanted it bad enough I just didn't really care at that point, I was so fed up with needing so much stuff done to the van to pass inspection. Amy found a lot of problems with it, of course. So she replaced the brakes and brake pads and other things that I don't know but everything that it definitely needed. And then eventually did the transmission sensor. Forgetting all the work done that I did it didn't cost too much. I mean it was a lot a lot for me. I can't afford anything is everybody knows, but just under $2000 to get a lot of work done. But just driving it home the van felt like a completely different van. Felt so nice. So she was able to take care of the job. I highly recommend her. She goes into detail about what you need. She's not a bullshitter and she even holds onto the parts that she took from your vehicle that were damaged and shows you afterwards and boy was mine in dire need of parts. Thank you, Amy and crew.

    Last Wednesday, while preparing a return trip to New Hampshire from the Buffalo area my…read moretransmission fluid started leaking. I immediately reached out to the West Herr Nissan dealership at 4:30. After waiting an hour for a return call, I placed a second call. The service manager instructed me not to drive, and to have the vehicle towed to their dealership. The service manager then stated that they would not be able to look at my vehicle until Friday or Monday. My choices, a 15-hour bus ride home, a one-way car rental, or an extended stay at a hotel with no transportation until they figured it out. John at Lamarco's Auto Service, an extremely kind gentleman, put me in contact with Chuck at Transmission Exchange. Upon my arrival, my car was immediately put on a lift and the issue identified as a rotted transmission hose. During my wait, Chuck did everything in his power to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I was even invited to join the crew for lunch! Transmission Exchange diagnosed the issue, completed the repair and I was on the road within a couple of hours. After my negative experience with West Herr, I had given up on receiving any kind compassion regarding my circumstances. A big thanks to Chuck, Mom & the crew for restoring my faith in the humanity. When i first went there Chuck was very nice and friendly. called me back within a couple hours to let me know that my transmission needed to be rebuilt. He said it would take a few days. My vehicle ended up being there for 9 days before i got it back from the transmission rebuilt!!! when i got it back, immediately i knew something was wrong so took it back and spoke with Joe. Joe claims he drive it around and also had the owner Chuck drive it and both said it drives perfectly. Another week goes by and i take it back because its definately not driving perfectly as they said it was. Now this time Joe said oh yea i feel what youre talking about i think its the motor mounts but we dont fix that here we only do transmission work so youll have to take it to a general shop. Immediately i took it to another shop and within 10 minutes they found that one of the engine mounts was left loose and the bracket was damaged! This was NOT an issued before i took my car to Transmission Exchange and the fact that they refuse to help me now that they got their money is unbelievable!!! I will never go there again nor recommend anyone to trust these people with their vehicle. DONT DO IT!!!     I brought my 2013 Ford Edge to Kolb Family Automotive for multiple electrical issues including…read moreclimate control problems, windshield wipers not working, an airbag light, and service advance trac warnings. Their online scheduling system originally booked my appointment incorrectly for 4/2 instead of 4/3, but they did agree to still look over the vehicle, which I appreciated. After diagnosing the vehicle on 4/3, they contacted me with recommended repairs and I approved the work. My vehicle remained there for over two weeks and I picked it up after hours on Friday, 4/24. Immediately after pickup, I realized several of the original issues were still unresolved. The windshield wipers still did not work, the airbag light was still on, and later I discovered my backup camera no longer worked and the ambient temperature display now only showed dashes instead of a reading. I texted them that same evening regarding the unresolved issues. A few days later, I was told the wipers had essentially been forgotten about after another repair was completed and that the airbag concern was not something they worked on due to liability reasons -- something that was never communicated to me upfront despite being one of the main reasons I brought the vehicle in. The only repair that appears improved are the brakes, however now the vehicle shakes while braking. I can finally turn the heat off, but now my AC no longer works either. What was most disappointing to me was the lack of follow-up afterward. I sent a respectful message explaining my concerns after picking the vehicle up and never received any response. At that point, it stopped feeling like an honest mistake and started feeling like my concerns simply were not important. I understand older vehicles can be difficult to diagnose, but after spending a significant amount of money and being without my vehicle for over two weeks, I expected better communication, more thorough follow-through, and confirmation that the original concerns had actually been resolved before returning the vehicle. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed with the experience.
