In fact, when I went back to them with a malfunctioning ABS sensor they were ready to replace it for several hundred dollars. Well, I stopped at AutoZone and they said 3 out of 4 of my wheel speed sensors were the issue. So... AutoZone just saved me from wasting my money at Mavis. Now I'll be replacing two tires, because what Mavis should have said, IF THEY GAVE A DAMN, is that I should have two of the SAME TIRES on the SAME AXLE. But they didn't, because then they would have had to provide two tires for free, since they destroyed one. I'm done with them.

Being down car just wasn't an option today. Unfortunately, I was told they wouldn't even be able to look at it until tomorrow (keep in mind it's 9 AM). No offer to at least inspect the damage or see if it was a quick fix-just a flat "come back tomorrow." I understand being busy , but when it comes to something as urgent as tire repairs, a little flexibility or customer service goes a long way. Disappointed by the lack of urgency and unwillingness to help. Over the years I have never said anything when I scheduled a rotation appointment and my car isn't taken back until 45 minutes after my appointment time. Today was the last straw though. In my time of need Goodyear left me stranded and for that reason I will find a new tire place. One note I did find a place down the street that helped me on the spot and it took them less than an hour. I didn't buy the tires from them it was just good customer service.

I can say overall that going with them was the best decision I ever made. We actually bought the tires last year (2021), they replaced all four tires and did some extra alignment work that needed to happen. Since then they've held up so well, and I haven't had to have any work done with the tires since. Though Fox Tire gave us the least expensive option, they absolutely have the BEST tires to offer, and absolutely fabulous service on top of it. A year later now, I discovered a nail in my tire and was worried it'd have to be replaced. After stressing about the expense of some new tires I ended up bringing my car back to Fox with the original receipt for the tires to get an opinion on whether I would need to replace it. Fortunately, they were able to patch my tire. FOR FREE, because I still had my receipt from buying tires from them originally. SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS PEOPLE!! They absolutely saved my life today. They weren't busy at all so they were able to take my car in right away and patch it up no problem. It took less than ten minutes. FABULOUS service. The team here is so nice and they took a huge weight off of my shoulders being able to take care of the issues with my tires so quickly. Not only do they do quality work, but the services they offer absolutely make it worth it to continue to come back to them with any issues.

They told me they purchase used tires and that the range is typically $10-$80 per tire depending on condition and demand. After I brought the tires in, they offered only $10 per tire, then raised it to just $12.50 per tire. That is $50 total for four good-condition EV winter tires that originally cost around $1,000. The offer was ridiculously low and felt like a complete waste of my time. I would not recommend bringing used tires here unless you are ready to be lowballed.

They informed me that they are very busy that Saturday but if I can bring my car in, they can take a look at the battery. I did not get around to bringing my car in on that Saturday but called Firestone again to see if I can get an appointment for Sunday morning. I was very fortunate that they have a lot for 11:00 am Sunday morning. Took my car in at around 10:45 Sunday morning and explained to Luis (who was helping me) the issue I have been experiencing. He said it would take about one to one and a half hours to change the battery (if it needed to be replaced), My wife picked me up and we left the Firestone store to run some other errands. I got a call from Firestone at around 11:30 and Luis informed me that my battery is fine. They are not sure why I am having problems with starting but did notice a loose connection to the battery and have tightened this for me. Went back to Firestone to pick up my car and Luis told me to run the car for a bit to recharge the battery. And if I continue to have problems, I can bring it back for further investigation. No charge since checking battery is free at Firestone. My whole experience with Luis and the team there was excellent. No hassle and very honest and easy to deal with. They were upfront with me on everything - unlike most of my previous experience at other auto places. Kudos to Luis - great job and an exemplary employee for that location.

I stripped the wheel weights off, cleaned the inside of the rims and deflated the tires for them. I made the deal and paid a deposit Monday Oct. 28th. Dropped off the wheels Oct. 29th and was told they might be done by 4 pm Oct 30th. They had to get the tires from their Lockport store. I called them at 4 pm Oct. 30th to check status. Not done. Called back Thursday Oct 31st. I was told they have to get the tires from the Lockport store (???) and they will be done Friday Nov 1st in the morning. I called back at 12:30 Nov 1st to check status. They are working on them right now. At 2:30 they are finally done. I get them...take them home and mount them. I looked at the date codes just out of curiosity. Normally 4 tires would have matching or close dates codes. 2 tires matched (2124) 1 tire is (3323) 1 tire is (4623). So 2 tires have been sitting for 1 year and 2 tire were made this year 2024. No apologies, no discount for my inconvenience. I will never ever do business again nor trust Tread City Tires.

My car battery tested unusually low during my inspection, I was asked to come back to double check as it was extremely cold that day. I stopped by a couple weeks later. They are too booked to do, it. Isabella tells me to bring it back Thursday morning. Bring the car back Thursday morning. Patrick clearly annoyed with the fact I was in the shop. Not sure if I wasn't put on the schedule appropriately, or just having a personal bad day. Car battery gets checked. Patrick has battery tested "it's at 56% you're good to go." I inquire if that is normal for a battery I believed to only be a year old? "Yeah new batteries can test as low as 80% in this weather, so 56-80% is acceptable." This was said in front of a full waiting room. I inquire with friends more mechanically inclined than me. I am informed yes l, weather will affect the test but, that's testing at a 2 year old charge. Patrick couldn't be bothered to look up as to when the battery was replaced for me to confirm the date. Didn't discuss how the warranty would be determined. A 24% margin of error seems pretty high for a determining factor on a warranty. Didn't tell me what determines an under performing battery, and what would qualify for replacement. Nor tell me when the warranty expires, to potentially bring it back in warmer weather to test again, before the warranty is null. Very disappointed, this is not reflective of brand and service I have become accustomed to, glad they have a second location. I will be avoiding the Transit location.

NOw any other place you would go would say oh yea you need that.. 2 hours after I dropped my car off I received a call from Scruggs telling my car was ready.. Said that I only needed an inspection and a new battery... nothing wrong w/ the car.. then i took my newer car to Scruggs on transit for an oil change.. i get a call back that i needed a lot of work done.. head gasket etc.. something you would think that the dealership would've taken care of...once i received the cost i was ready to cry.. they offered me a 3rd party lender.. YAYYYY!! that was awesome.. the people there are the greatest..Henry, Patrick, Carmine (he did the work on my car), Isabella.. I was treated like one of the family.. i will be going there anytime i need to have something done on the car.. you should go too.... THEY ARE THE BEST!! SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE REST!!

I stopped at the Mavis on Transit on my way home back to Rochester for air, and their pump wasn't in service. Their mechanic Burra came outside and told me to pull around to the side and he'd put air in it. Without me even asking, he tightened my valve stem which was loose and offered to patch my tire. Granted, I didn't come here expecting to pay anything, but I knew it needed to be fixed and he got me right into the garage on the spot. Truly some awesome folks that work here, especially Burra, who show they care about the people who stop in. If i'm in Buffalo and need a new tire, I know where i'll stop now!
