Our sales rep Liz was very nice, professional, and gave us good advice in selecting the right blinds for us. The project scheduler Breanna was quite nice, and made sure the measuring and then installation were scheduled at good times for us, and she really followed up with us to make sure we were happy with how things were going. And the installation by Jesse and Alfredo went very well. They were there when they said they would be, were the model of professionalism, and most importantly, they did a great job. Had an appointment scheduled through Costco. Soka called I told her I'm getting a couple other estimates. She asked what I was quoted , I said about $2k. Without asking what I need or offering alternatives , she said , she doesn't have anything that low and canceled my appointment. First of all ... very rude. Second.. I don't make my decisions based on price. They just didn't want to take the time to drive to me from Chatsworth to El Segundo, understandable since I'm an hour away. During my March 2021 review, I ordered about $10K of blinds and draperies for my new house. From my previous view, right after I put in the order with Jeffrey and Galaxy Draperies, it's been THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Ordered about $10K in March, in April/May found out that things that I had ordered was not manufacturable. Went with option #2. My wife and I were fine with this. They come in June to install and some parts were not manufactured to the right size AND they were missing the $2K bedroom draperies I ordered. Fine, they'll go back, remake the product, and install in July they said. Two days later, I get a call saying this and that color and style can't be manufactured. WHAT IS GOING ON NOW? I pick new colors and styles. July comes and goes. I call Jeffrey, the sales rep, no response. I call Galaxy, they say they'll call back but they never do. I was getting ghosted by a drapery company. In August, after over a month of being ghosted, I called Costco to let them know I was having issues with the vendor. Within 2 hours, Galaxy calls back apologizing for not responding. Fine. They say they'll remanufacture things and install in September. I agree, they come and THEY DON'T EVEN BRING THE PART THEY NEED TO INSTALL THE PRODUCT! Another round of calls from Julie Leaf about how they can't manufacture this and that, and how they'll need to change this and that. I CAN'T EVEN KEEP TRACK OF ALL THESE (potential) LIES! Costco owes me over $1K in Costco Cash for using this vendor. Galaxy won't release the Costco Cash card until I signed an agreement that they've completed the installation. DEFINITELY NOT DOING THAT! I just got off the phone with Costco customer service and apparently, these kiosk vendors aren't REALLY vetted by Costco and they're just vendors that are part of Costco's kiosk home services program. Costco kiosk will literally be useless until you go through Costco directly. DO NOT USE THESE HOME SERVICE VENDORS THROUGH COSTCO! Anyways...here I am...6 months later, still being ghosted by Galaxy, still missing blinds around the house. Galaxy doesn't care about anything once you sign the agreement. How do I know this? Galaxy told me I can't get out of it because of the agreement and they continue to be non-responsive. ALSO, they damaged my walls during install and the installation of the roller blinds were not straight. read more

I went through Costco to purchase blinds, and we were referred to Galaxy Draperies. Having no prior experience of purchasing blinds, Oz walked through the different selections available. She was patient to show all of the options and colors taking into account all that we were hoping to accomplish through window treatments. It took longer than anticipated for a window of time for installation, but overall, we are very satisfied. The project manager didn't return emails for paper blinds to use in the in between time of not having window coverings - Oz said they would be issued no problem - but it didn't happen. That's my only complaint. Alfredo came to install the blinds, and he was absolutely the best! He finished in under the estimated time, was super professional and kind. He cleaned up and even vacuumed the dust from installation. I am super impressed. So far, we are happy with the product. They sent out another person who took measurements again to make sure the order was correct. My Costco purchased Graber cordless cellular blind failed after 5 years. Costco offers a lifetime warranty. Galaxy was handling the warranty. It took 2 reports to Costco for Galaxy to successfully contact me. Galaxy offered to replace the blind or try to repair it. Either offer would require the same service fee although they couldn't promise they could successfully repair the blind. A visit to replace the blind after a failed repair would require a 2nd service fee. I chose the replacement option Galaxy was helpful in sending me swatches so I could choose a replacement blind Ordering and paying went smoothly. The replacement arrived in less than 2 weeks. Installation was the next day. Unfortunately someone had ordered the incorrect blind. Galaxy took responsibility for the incorrect order and reordered the correct blind. When the blind arrived although I had 3 weekdays available during the following 2 weeks they had no spots in their schedule. I ended up scheduling the delivery 5 weeks out. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful. They took time to explain the system of replacement/repair. Both servicemen were polite and timely. However I had to contact Costco 2-times prior to Galaxy reaching out to me and then they ordered the wrong product. They were not flexible in their scheduling. read more

Window treatment selection consultation was very useful and informative, and although it took us some time, we ultimately landed on the perfect solution for our needs. The wait time for final install was a bit frustrating, but understandable due to the worldwide supply chain issues currently facing all industries, especially those that use China made parts or components. The short story: Galaxy is good, but make sure you ask for Bernadette as your sales rep for smooth sailing! Starting with the good: 5 stars for Bernadette, our customer service rep! She came out to show us everything available and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with both our selections and budget. She is a wealth of knowledge, and super nice too. She came to our home at least five times throughout the process to check on progress and make sure we were happy with everything. Thanks for working with us, Bernie, you're the best! Ok, the not so good: 5 stars for Galaxy's options but 3 for their installation. Galaxy sent the wrong part for installation twice, and it was only when Bernadette got on their case that we got what we needed (though to be fair, initial installation was still a bit ahead of schedule). The installation process itself was smooth and the results are good, but there are a couple of spots (out of 20+ windows) where things could have been installed better. Again, when we mentioned this, it took Bernadette's practiced eye (and communication with Galaxy's team) to get them to come back and fix stuff. She really helped us get our home looking nice. We will go with Galaxy for an upgrade eventually, and it will be thanks to her! read more

How could this experience be any worse? We paid 10k for custom blinds for our home months ago. From the very first point of contact we were upsold, then once our money was taken...crickets. We waited and waited and waited for blinds that didn't show. When they finally did show the installer said the main bedroom couldn't be installed because the company mis-measured. Then we waited some more. We were passed off to countless salespeople. Still waiting. Calling. Waiting. No response. Finally someone came out to the house and told us that we had to make the main bedroom blind different from all the rest because the company couldn't make it. We refused to have one large blind different from the whole house so we dropped the motorized mechanism. Now we paid to have a tiny window motorized (which is ridiculous and unnecessary) while the huge bedroom window is on a pull string. We were told the blind were be expedited but no blind was ever installed. We asked for a supervisor to call us...nobody called. We emailed...nobody answered. We still have no blind in our master bedroom nearly six months later. This is a very bad company to do business with. We recently had Galaxy install 3 very large Sunsetter motorized awnings, two of which we bought directly through Galaxy and one through Costco. Galaxy did a great job on price and installation. The installers showed up when promised, did the installs very efficiently, gave us some instruction, and cleaned everything up. The awnings are great. I would definitely use them again. They carry Graber products which apparently has been around a very long time and I liked the quality and many choices they offered. I hired them through Costco and have had no problems with them or the blinds that were installed. After receiving my three quotes, I went with Galaxy because really, all blinds are the same and they all, in the end, cost around the same amount. I just figured Costco stands behind their products so this must be a good company. They came out, measured and once I ordered from them, it was explained that it would take a while for the blinds to be custom made. I completely understood that as common sense says that anything custom would take some time. Once the blinds were made (maybe a month and a half later) they were installed within a week. We had an easy time with Galaxy. We used Costco before but that vendor was not with them now. We had window treatment done 7 years ago but replaced a huge window and needed to cover it. We had another vendor come but they were almost $1500 more than Galaxy. We opted to not do the electric shades to save some money, and we need almost total blackout. Dealing with Galaxy Draperies (through Costco) was one of the worst and most frustrating experiences I've had. This nightmare began in May of 2019. That is no typo. 2019! We picked one of the most popular color shade. In about 6 months one of the largest shades broke. Parts ordered and in to fix.... wrong parts. Parts ordered and in to fix.... can't fix. Covid shuts down the Graber facility. Window covering removed in July 2020, temporary paper shades installed. Staff turnover so no one knew what was going on. Was told they would motorize free of charge because window is so large and broke so quickly. Oh wait, new person now tells me no motorized has been approved. Fast forward to January 2021, "we are talking with Costco to see if they will split the cost of upgrading to a motorized". Not approved. Jan 14, 2021- we will come get the shade, wait...what?! You took my shade in July!!!! February 2021 "do you want us to install your new shades (for a fee) or drop them off". You are kidding, right? No you will install them for no charge. "Oh I'm sorry, I'm looking at my notes and there will not be a charge". February installation and the blind is filthy dirty and folded in the wrong spots. Oh and by the way, now the color has been discontinued. "We are working on a solution". March 2021 have to meet with a new designer to pick a new color. They will remake all the shades in the same room so they match. Can I pay the difference to upgrade to a motorized since you are remaking anyways? NO you will have to pay for a whole new shade. Right, never mind. April, new blinds installed, one of them has a dent. Finally have it installed on April 20, 2021. Don't think that the Costco special order desk will be any help, they were useless. Very disappointed with Costco on this one. Only shout out is to Alfredo, the installer. He's awesome. read more

Very disappointed!!! I hired this company through Costco. I won't trust their designers since they are no way efficient in design & practicality. What is worse they never respond , they take messages but no response to 4-5 calls & finally the manager told me I have to pay to fix the issue. If I could design I wouldn't have hired them. So for the hefty price you pay to get custom products, you are not going to be happy. They used the drawstring for a 9 ft door panel & that leaves a lot of hanging string on floor, it's ugly, hard to wrap & a hazard for kids or pets, this could've been easily be done by revolving pull. read more
