We booked our appointments well in advance, yet the salon still didn't have enough staff available to accommodate the three of us. Instead of providing the service we scheduled, my appointment felt rushed from beginning to end, as though they were simply trying to get through as many clients as possible. Because of that, the quality of the work suffered. To make matters worse, my gel polish started peeling the very next day. Gel nails are supposed to last at least a couple of weeks, so having them chip and peel almost immediately is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of care and attention to detail. The most concerning part of my experience was the lack of proper sanitation. The same nail tools were used on all three of us without being cleaned or disinfected between clients. Proper sanitation is one of the most basic responsibilities of any nail salon, and seeing tools reused without being sanitized raised serious concerns about hygiene and client safety. I left feeling like my time and money were wasted. I expected professional service, quality work, and basic cleanliness, but unfortunately, this salon failed on all three. I cannot recommend this business based on my experience, and I will not be returning. read more

I started going here because my former nail tech had moved back to town and she was working here. But she decided to leave again, so I chose another tech. This tech was good at first, but then I discovered that she had other ideas about how my nails should look. I would ask for short nails, and end up with claws. I would give her some inspo photos and she would change it up. I was always given the same limited choice of nail colors and never offered any other options, although they were available. The last straw came when I asked for a nail design that had a sort of leopard print look and I came out with claw nails that looked like the back of a lady bug. It was awful. I had to go to another salon for a new set and paint job. The vibe is very much "get in, get out." The front desk was not very welcoming. It was a treat to watch his craft, so focused, so precise, and FAST! I truly don't understand all of the poor or mediocre reviews on here. I'm here for my fiancé's job and I know nothing about the area. I needed my nails done and looked up a bunch of places. Galaxy was the ONLY place to fit me in within 10 minutes when everyone else was full on a Saturday afternoon. When I got there, you could tell that they were slammed but they still did their best to make everyone happy and fit everyone In. The receptionist was incredibly sweet and welcoming. I had my newborn with me, so I was worried how they would react because some nails salons can be jerks to people with babies. The whole experience was amazing! I showed May a picture of the nails I wanted and she made sure to make it happen! She even kindly changed the colors for me twice when it wasn't exactly like the picture I showed! The whole time, my newborn was being a little fussy and I had to constantly use my other hand to entertain her with toys, but May was so kind about it! The other nails techs even came by to say hello and entertain her, as well! This was pretty new for me as some nail salons where I'm from don't even allow babies or children in their salons. On top of all of that, my nails turned out beautifully. Everyone there was just beyond friendly and I heard lots of conversation around the room, meaning techs were making sure to interact with their clients. I needed a last minute manicure before my Mexico trip so I went in this morning, when I walked in I said I had an appointment and she told me to go back before I could sign in. Anyways so I went back and everything was going well, then the nail tech did not follow my inspo pic and did something totally different which didn't even look good. He was a very sweet guy but he wasn't good at nails. I didn't complain and I went to pay then the front desk lady got angry that I didn't check in even though she told me to go back before I could even check in. me and my boyfriend went here to get a pedicure. it was $82 for the deluxe one. we both got it. there is polish all over my toes, didn't make my toes square, DID NOT even rub my feet for longer than a minute and he left oil all over my feet. the entire pedicure was over in 30 min. he used hot rocks for prob 30 seconds and was done. didn't put my shoes on for me. he was only caressing my feet and not even rubbing them. for $82 i expect a massage. the description of the pedicure said "if your feet hurt and need a massage".... we go to pay and it was $184 without tip. do the math $82 + $82 is not $184. this place sucks and i am never going here. i am extremely disappointed as we went to relax after working all week and our feet hurt. read more

This was the worst pedicure that I have ever had. Ever. And I get pedicures on the regular. I made the appointment a week in advance for my mom and I. The place I normally go to was booked, so I thought that I would try a new spot. Boy was that a mistake. This pedicure was a special event as it was my moms 67th birthday. The appointment was at 11am, so we arrived a little early and checked in. While my moms pedicure started a bit after 11, I was forced to wait for over 45 minutes soaking my feet in cold water because the staff was overbooked and there was no one available to do my pedicure. No apologies were made to me, no concessions made, I actually got scolded by the owner because I took my feet out of the water. When my pedicure finally did begin, it was half hearted, did not include any sort of massage, cuticle removal, or even any lotion! It only lasted 10 minutes, but did cost $56 (gel polish)! I was actually embarrassed that I took my mom here for her birthday it was that bad of an experience. read more

First time in a long time to go to Galaxy nails for a Pedicure. They were terrible! We soaked in warm water, no jets, I wasn't presented with the "menu" until after I was asked what pedicure I wanted. When the man started removal, he used tools that had been used on other clients... not only disgusting but illegal. Both workers argued with my friend and I about what color we picked. When my pedicure was complete, he took the disposable bag out of the basin, threw it away and replaced it with a new one without cleaning the basin or sanitizing it. Not only rude but gross! Finally when it came to the paint job... crap! Paint all over the cuticles of every nail. And on my pinky toe he didn't even bother to clean it up. It's all over my toe. And guess what? If I pick it off it takes all the polish from the actual toe nail with it. Not even 12 hours later and the paint has lifted and chipped off the nail. Nope not ever going back. They were rude, unhygienic, and frankly didn't know how to do their job and didn't care. read more

My experience at this nail salon was not good. The communication between me and the nail technician was 0. Also, he never let me show him a picture of what I want. (John did my nails) I ended up getting something I never wanted. They were trying to convince me that they looked great! Yet, all my friends and family members mocked my $62 nails that looked like press-on nails. I left a review on Galaxy Nails through Google and they TOOK IT DOWN! They took down my negative review. Then they invite me back to the salon, and try to fix my nails. Which I appreciated; however when I got back. They put me with John again, and this time he lets me show him a picture. I asked prior to getting this done! "Do you feel comfortable with this design?" He didn't really say anything, and long story short. They were rushed and lumpy looking. They looked nothing like the picture and I also had to pay $15 after. In total $77 nails that I couldn't wait to get off. I will never pay for their services again. Unfortunately, I do not have the second set of nails pictures. I was so upset with the nails, I didn't want to do anything with them. I honestly felt scammed. The "basic pedicure" lastEd less than 15 minutes and was more like a polish change. All that was done was to cut my nails (no filing), a sanding of the big toenail (there's no point to that and I've never had that done before), no more than 30 seconds of massaging, no hot towels as listed in the description and very sloppy polish which was all over my cuticles and skin. When I said I wouldn't pay $42 for that but would pay for a polish change they took the polish off and sent me out. DO NOT GO HERE! This place should not even get a one star review. This is the worst place to get any nail or spa experience. My mom went here to get a pedicure and they barely did anything. Then they put an extremely hot towel on my moms leg which burned her! And then she goes home and her leg starts itching and turning red. She had to go to the urgent care because it was itching and hurting so bad. She ended up getting contact dermatitis from this place and had to be on antibiotics for 2 weeks ALONG with a steroid cream. If you want the worst experience ever and contact dermatitis go ahead but if not don't ever go there! Really poor quality nail work, I tried to explain what type of nails I wanted and instead they laughed at my nails because they are small.. and kept saying they couldn't do French acrylic nails. Then he proceeded to constantly tell me what I should do pink and white ombré , which I really didn't want. They ended up talking me into it, saying it would look really good so I said ok. I was so mistaken this place does not know how to do nails. The powder on my nails is super uneven and looks like waves on my nails. Now that I've spent 80+$here at this place I will never be back. I'm in town for a few weeks and really wanted to get my nails done. I use my hands a lot for work and my nails started to be brittle and crack because of this. To set the mood I was extremely excited to get my nails done and not have to worry about that annoying feeling of my nails getting caught on various fabrics from where they cracked. I wanted to be able to look down and see cute nails, you girlies know the vibe. This excitement slowly dwindled as the process of getting my nails done in Galaxy nail spa went on. I had pictures for inspiration, and I tried to explain what I wanted as best I could. For starters when I got there the lady who did my nails was doing the clients before mine and they were stunning! This gave me faith for mine but oh I was so wrong. She rushed me? Is the best way to describe what I experienced. The tech didn't take long shaping my nails, and when I told her I wanted pastel French nails she had another worker go and get colors and I kid ya not the worker came back with neon colors and dark blue and red. What? I smiled and said oh I wanted pastel! She then let me pick the colors I wanted, gee thanks. After this I noticed a few bubbles and some things I didn't like about the way she shaped my nails. I tried to speak up for myself which I usually don't do, because I was really unhappy. She said "they're acrylic they can't be skinny" but I was talking about the shape and excess product under my nails. I was so excited and it got taken away from me. The whole time she rushed every step, as it was soon to closing time I guess. Though props to the guy nail tech that was next to me, doing another girls nails. I over heard him ask her after every step if his client was happy. He didn't rush, they started on us around the same time. Over all the shape is not well done, the tips were rushed and not neat. I know she has talent but just didn't try. The product didn't go down to my cuticle on all my nails. I don't know if this shop does the oils at the end. The quick dot dot dot on all fingers but I didn't get that. I also usually have my cuticles filed away before the application of the acrylic and didn't get that either. When I mentioned what I didn't like she rushed and barely fixed anything. I'm going to attach pictures of my Inspo pic I showed her, and what I had done. I don't know what I did to be treated like a quick lil nail job vs applying herself like she did the girl before me. That's all. Thank you for wasting your products and my time. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this is probably the worst pedicure I've ever had and I wish I had seen a review before dropping $50 on such a terrible experience. I know a lot of places are short-staffed, so it didn't bother me that I waited around a while even with an appointment. However, this is the only pedicure I've had (in my entire life!) where there was no massage, no lotion, the nail tech didn't even cut my nails! Although, maybe that's a good thing since I'm almost positive they used dirty tools and towels. If I could give zero stars I would. I rarely leave bad reviews. It's dirty!! The place is so dirty!! This was the most expensive and most sloppy pedi I have ever gotten. An employee has a cute little dog there but it peed on the floor. Everyone ignored it. There was pee just sitting on the floor. It's dirty, dirty, dirty...they used a metal, communal, "cheese grater" tool...which I thought was against regulations in this industry. Ugh...you know how you commit, desperate to get in...you put your feet in the water and you think...how bad can it be...It's BAD!!!!!! AND expensive!! I was there less than an hour and got a specialty pedi. Calluses are still there, nails not shaped well, sloppy polish. I'm praying I don't get MRSA!! What they don't tell you when you walk in, you'll be charged 3% for using a card. I've never been to a business that didn't tell you up front that they were going to pass off a cost of doing business to you. I understand why some small businesses will pass on the card fees to you if the charge is less than $5-10. But this nail salon does enough business that charging me the 3% fee for using a card is ridiculous. I am paying for a service, I should not be paying for their cost of doing business. At that point, I should get an itemized bill breaking down how much I'm being charged for the electricity the black light uses and the amount of lotion that is rubbed into my hands at the end. read more
