BEST NAIL SALON IN TOWN ive been a regular client at Sensation since they first opened and i can't say enough positive things about them. It is extremely clean, classy, and professional. All of the nail artists who work there are all friendly, experienced and also very talented. A person would be in good hands and well taken care of with anyone at Sensation. Tracy (owner) is absolutely fantastic! Not only does she do really beautiful work, but she does it all while making everyone who comes in feel comfortable, and running her salon seemingly effortlessly. I left BLEEDING before my pedicure was complete because the tech clipped my toe nail too short. I shrieked, startled with pain. Despite my reaction, the tech did not apologize but instead told me "this is what you asked for!" I went to check out and the Manager/(owner?) did not get up from her chair but said "you do not need to pay" but I asked to speak with her regardless. She walked to the desk and I explained what happen, suggesting that the correct thing to do is for the tech to offer an apology, not argue. But the tech returned and said "this is what you asked!" I replied "I did not ask for you to make me bleed". And the tech stormed away. The manager offered an apology. I will not be returning. read more

Got a infection in my toes after getting a pedicure here. I did not want a pedicure originally. I came in for a eyebrow wax and got ralked into a pedicure. The chick who originally did it did't finish the job. The yelled and screamed at me after I said I would not pay for the pedicure unless it was finished. She ended up following me out to my vehicle and her boss had to get in the middle and finish my pedicure and then apologize. The chick who originally did my pedicure will come into places I'm working from time to time and give me dirty looks and gossip allabout me with her husband. The place use to be good and has gone down hill majorly. I ended up on antibiotic after getting a pedicure here and have the Dr. Notes to prove it. read more

Been going to them to get toes and nails done for a few months. The service has gone downhill each time I go. The owner is great but she has one lady worker that does pedicures so awful that she draws blood plus NEVER trims cuticles. I've been 'assigned' this person twice and will not give her a 3rd chance. The nail techs are a hit and miss - mostly miss with gel applied very thick, cuticles not tidied up, etc. If you ask for them to clean it up, they do a little then are finished - even though the job is subpar. I absolutely love the people here. Emma is my go-to tech. She does a fab job on my gel manis and regular pedis. The best part is that most of the times I call she has openings the same day. I am not always able to schedule things far in advance so that's a great benefit for me. so overpriced for this quality. to be fair I'm very picky, but for $70, this is too much wrong. from afar they are okay, but upclose they're not. my nails have bubbles, and tilted sideways (and I know that I have crooked nails, but professionals make them look straight) and they are kind of oddly shaped. she barely looked at my reference picture and did something completely different without asking. I think she got sick of me asking for her to make them shorter, because at one point she just quit showing me. She was super unprofessional, she stopped in the middle of my hand to play on her phone for a minute and took a call and did not speak to me the whole time. i spent $70 on mediocre chrome nails that she didn't even put chrome on the whole nail. she shaved my cuticles off and make me bleed twice, it was painful in such a sensitive spot. super disappointed. read more

When I got here I signed in for my 12 o'clock appointment. They took me back right away and started doing gel when I asked for acrylic nails. After I informed the guy that he wasn't doing what I asked he said yes he was doing the picture. I told him I wanted acrylic and made my appointment for acrylic. He then made me talk to another lady and I sat for over an hour. While sitting there was also 6 other people waiting for their 12 o'clock appointment and there wasn't even 6 workers. Giving it two stars because they at least did a great massage on my pedicure. Aside from not being very friendly, and rushing me through it all... the lady didn't even finish my manicure because someone came in who wanted a pedicure. No lotion after the polish, no hand massage, no cleaning up my nails from polish she got all over my fingers... nothing. My nails look worse than when I came in. My cuticles look dry and terrible. The lady who did my pedicure did a fine job - like I said, great massage... but when the colors in the "color match" did not even remotely match my gel nail color, she became frustrated when I wanted to look for another color to match them better, and then didn't even remove the first coat of polish she had put on from the color that didn't match!! She just put a new color on top which made them look even worse. This place is horrible. I thought maybe she was rushing on my polish because she had an appointment or something, but no... she walked me over to the dryer to walk herself right back to the couch to sit and read and eat. This place ranked number 1 as the worst pedicure I have ever received and a complete waste of my $30. Firstly, I went to go choose a nail polish and the tech told me no, I had to use the gel polish book. I told her I did not want gel on my toes and she said to use the book anyways. Then I went to sit in the massage chair which was obviously not clean and had numerous smear marks on it from previous users. She had me sit down and dip my feet into the lukewarm water. I also noticed the cleaning tools she had chosen were not sanitized appropriately. I picked my color and she immediately started my pedicure after about 3 minutes from which my feet had been in the water. Her work consisted of a light scrubbing of my feet, a 10 second file, a light buff on the top of my nails, and followed by paint. This took all of 10 minutes as she did not cut my nails, file them appropriately, clean up the cuticles, clean underneath my nails, or massage lotion onto my feet/calves. I was severely disappointed and bothered by lack of service especially for the price I paid. Do not go here and let this place steal your money. read more

I went here to get a manicure and pedicure right before my wedding. I had a gift certificate for the pedicure and then did a gel manicure. I think I paid $30 for the manicure (plus the expected tip, so $40 total). Serious waste. The pedicure was alright, but the polish wasn't dry two hours later. So I had lumpy nails for my wedding and honeymoon. My wedding was kind of out in the boonies (this is Montana after all) so I had no opportunity to go get it fixed anywhere and didn't realize how bad it was until I was two hours away from Billings. The manicure was slightly better but the gels became weirdly discolored after a few days. Not only that, but the woman who did it was incredibly unfriendly and didn't seem to give a crap that this was my wedding manicure, and didn't try to do a good job. I asked my photographer to not take any pictures of my hands as a result. I will never go here again. read more

I had gotten my nails done a number of times here, but recently a nail broke 3 days after getting it done. (no big deal to me) I called in to get it fixed and they told me to come in. I they came in and they were very rude. I asked how long the wait would be (I had work in an hour & a half) & then went to sit down. The guy that did my pedicure was not very friendly and extremely rough with my pedicure. He used the "cheese grater" on my feet and was pretty aggressive. I kept pulling my feet back and thought he would understand that he needed to scale back the intensity. He was so rough that the tool slipped from his hand and slammed into my ankle. When I was paying he charged my $40 and when I questioned the price because on the wall it said $30 he said that was for a basic pedicure and he didn't do the basic. So I took her to the place called Sensation Nails, surprising that small nails shop like this have a very nice services and pretty nice technique for nails and pedicures. My wife and I are very please with their service and recommend other people come and check out this place when they have a chance. Absolutely no regret . HEADED TO THE HOSPITAL AFTER SIMPLY WANTING A SPA DAY. I left this place with nothing but DISAPPOINTMENT & GUSHING BLOOD. I was scheduled for a pedicure and a new set due to the last ones they put on weren't lasting. After receiving a cold water, no massage $90 pedicure and my toes looking nothing like how I wanted them to, even after showing them a picture I expressed, I was very disappointed and not happy with the way they came out. I was ignored, and told to go sit at a nail station. After waiting 15 minutes the nail tech came up and started to remove my set, she was aggressive and was hurting me off the bat. I expressed that I was being hurt, and if she could be less rough. I was ignored, three minutes later, the tip of my finger is missing, blood everywhere and I'm in an extreme amount of pain. Her reaching to put nail glue on my missing finger tip, I insisted that she did not do that.. her response was " doctors do". I'm at a nail salon, not the doctors office and I don't think you qualify to give Dr. advice!! About five minutes later, the blood had not stopped, my whole hand went numb after she applied the nail glue on my missing finger tip. She has the nerve to say" I can't look at all this blood it's going to make me pass out". When I'm the one sitting there in pain with blood rushing out of me, & you're gonna pass out?? WOW!! Expressing that I am in too much pain to continue to work on my nails. I cried my way to the register, and a few workers came up and harassed me. I paid for the awful $90 pedicure and got the heck out of there!! We called at 9 am for appointment and were told to come at 1pm. We arrive on time (5 min early) to pick nail colors and were told to go sit on a couch and they started service on another couple. I've frequented Sensation Nails many times. Usually the service is wonderful and I'm pleased with the results. Hands down, the person to ask for is Anna. She is amazing! I schedule my pedicures with her. Today I took my daughter and granddaughter to get pedicures and a manicure so it was not practical to ask for Anna. There are new employees and many seem disinterested and bored with their jobs. My manicure today was subpar. A streak of blue from a tainted bottle of top coat discolored one of my nails. Another nail had a dust string embedded in the top coat and a couple of nails had bubbles in the polish. I left the salon, sat in my car and stared at my hands. I decided that I wasn't happy to have spent $200 to receive an awful manicure. I went back to the salon and showed the owner. She said they would fix it then. I told her I had to leave and that I'd like to come back next week. She said to come tomorrow. I told her I couldn't because we were having family portraits done and that I wouldn't be back to town until next week. She scoffed and said that my nails would be grown out by then. I took my 3 young girls - ages 4-4-7 in to get their nails polished while I get a much needed fill. We are not from Billings- we were head to Lewistown for a wedding that weekend. I chose Sensation Nails and Spa because it was in the area we stayed at and just hoping we could swing in and get on our way. Well the nail gods were in our favor that day! I could tell it was extremely busy when we walked in. The girls got their polished picked out and they got started on them right away! I waited around with them for a few minutes until who I assume is the owner came out behind his desk area to tell me to come sit. He started on my nails - I hadn't gotten the best fill the last time and always have issues with lifting due to working in water a lot. The gentleman did some extensive work on my nails. While he was working on my nails the girls got placed to sit under the setting lights. After a while a young gal assuming the lead nail technician took over. The ladies were very friendly and did great work. I am simple with my nails and usually do only dark colors but since they were wedding nails I chose a sparkling gold. Now some nail techs- if they are in a hurry or pushing time - which I know she was because while just about to the polish about 5 guests 2 women 3 children walked in - and let me tell you they were not waiting patiently like my 3 girls. Girl did 3 coats on my glitter polish! My nails have never looked better! I will definitely be waiting to fill next time I know we are headed out to big sky country! This nail salon was THE WORST salon I have ever been to. They do not talk to you, they continuously talk and giggle amongst themselves in VIETNAMESE..talk about being RUDE!!! No eye contact, nothing. They asked me if the last nail tech I used was AMERICAN, when I said yes, they chatted in VIETNAMESE and laughed giving me the impression that they thought that THEIR work was far superior to anything an AMERICAN can do. I love the pedicures!! The girls are all very happy & well dressed. They great you as soon as you come in. Make an appointment or you'll have to wait a few hours, yes it's that good. I always get a gel pedi $55. They use a exfoliating scrub, hot towels & cooling gel all before the massage. Those little extras really make the difference.
