I went to a retro screening of Jaws on screen three today. I showed up at 1:59 p.m. with the showtime being 2:00 p.m. and the movie had already started. After the movie two people told me the movie started 5 minutes early without previews. There was also a dark stain on the screen that was very distracting. I talked to an employee after the movie and asked about the movie starting early and the person responded "the showtimes are estimated and sometimes start earlier or later". That was my first and last time at that theater. read more

Normally, I really like Galaxy, but tonight was a different story. We went on Tuesday ($6.50 night) to see Avengers End Games. We ordered our tickets on line to avoid having to wait in line for this popular movie. When we entered the theater, the ticket gal said we had to go to the ticket office to scan our QR code, BUT there was only 1 window open and a very long line! Tell me why I paid the extra service fees that go with ordering on line just to do the very thing I was trying to avoid? You would think for an Avenger movie they would have been prepared! Super disappointed. Also - because it is the 1st Tuesday after the release...it isn't $6.50. It actually cost us 48.50 for 3 tickets! read more

Just saw the latest installment of the Fast & Furious franchise. I love this location, the parking lot is immense and the staff are very friendly. They actually serve dip n dots here! Seeing the legacy of Paul walker at this location was the right decision. It was a very emotional experience. From parking and seeing all the modded cars to the last moments of the movie. It actually brought tears to my eyes. To end on a lighter note I'll state the obvious... Yes they are a dbox theater! Try it out you might like it. Also fast 7 is available in dbox as not all movies are compatible. read more

This is the best theather in the entire Seattle area. Why? Because the DLP and sound is always PERFECT. Always crystal clear digital projection, always loud enough. I never have to worry about blurry focus, or muffled/too low sound, or sound only coming from behind the screen like with other theaters. Best yet, if you go to Canyons to eat you can ask to buy tickets for $7 each and you can use them for any showtime! Plus if you bring your movie stub you save $5 at Canyons so it works both ways. They also have the best soft serve at this theater, and the parking is always close! I live in Kirkland and go all the way to this theater, it's so good! read more

Terrible experience. I have never left such a negative review but this one is well deserved. I bought tickets online hoping to have seamless experience upon entry. I called ahead to ask about lines and any advice for coming early. I was told to make sure I print my ticket from online purchase. Online - reserved seats which is always a bonus. clunky checkout and high service fee. Printed ticket. Lots of parking. Waited in line to be scanned in. Was told had to go to box office to have printed again because they needed 3 separate tickets to tear. Waited in another line. Couldn't print so got handwritten thing. Waited in line again. Manager tearing tickets. Told her I was super frustrated and asked for comp at concessions or something to help experience be positive because I hate leaving negative yelp reviews. She said I was threatening and I could leave now and get a refund. I said I wasn't threatening anyone and a review isn't going to cause any physical harm to anyone. She begrudgingly tore the "ticket" and handed it back to me.. it wasn't collected so I'm not sure the purpose of the process. Don't go. Or, if you do- don't buy online and go early. The lady was rude and doesn't belong in customer service today. read more

Pretty good theater for its age. Seats are comfy and they recline. Then when you sign up as a Galaxy Rewards Membership (free) you get discounts at the snack counter and every Tuesday is $5 for regular movies and $8 for 3D! read more

I generally have had pretty good experiences coming to this theater, $6.50 tuesdays especially are nice for the checkbook. We came here to try the adult only movie experience with the comfy chairs where they serve beer and wine..started out great until my gift card wouldn't work with some confusion which made me late for the movie, oh well that's not a big deal. The really disappointing thing was having to walk out because they refused to turn the lights off due to laws or liabilities or something. They didn't deem this necessary to inform people at time of purchase. Spent $97 overall for tickets and snacks and had to walkout, wait for a refund, and still have no explanation. Not good for retention or business! read more

Best movie theaters for 100 miles in any direction. Seriously. All 12 screens are DLP Digital...all of them. A few years ago I went to see Star Wars Episode III here, and people had driven all the way from Oregon to go to this specific theaters just because of the digital screens. Most recently I took my son to see Avatar. I tell ya, nothing does 3D better than a digital projector. The best part is seeing a movie maybe three weeks after it has come out. In other theaters (with non-digital projectors) it's really obvious that the film has been through the projector a hundred times. At this theater, each showing is like the first showing. Wish they would being back the pinball machine to the 'starcade' :( read more

You rarely have to wait in line at concessions. They now have select theaters where you can get alcohol from the bar and take with you to the show. Price aren't overpriced, I believe it was $9 for 32 oz? Something along those lines... The theaters are usually never full. I've actually been the only one in a theater for a movie before. Kinda cool to have your own personal viewing. The only time our theater was full was was when we went to see the new Star Wars movie. We still got good seats at the very top and enjoyed the show. We walked in 5 mins before the actual previews began. My one complaint is I just wish they had a women's bathroom on both sides of the theater like they have for the men. read more

I'm giving Galaxy 12 a two star review for several reasons. First, not important to most moviegoers but very important to me, is the lack of accommodation for deaf customers. We asked for closed captioning equipment at a recent movie there. They offered amplified headphones. We were told this particular movie was not captioned. But when we checked with another theater in Everett, they did have caption equipment for the same movie. Second, they served us cold popcorn. On two separate occasions, more than a month apart. Third, and this is maybe a weird reason, their sign is impossible to read. It's set at an angle where you can only see it for a second or two as you round a curve in the road. So it's hard to know what's playing, without visiting their website or actually walking into the theater! Aside from these, it's an OK movie house. The seats aren't markedly better or worse than any other theater I've been to recently. The premises were clean and apparently well maintained. Decor is ... average, but not something I care about. Parking is good. Lines at the ticket booth and the concession stand were shorter than at many theaters I have been to. read more

I'd have given this a five star easy save for two very unfortunate occurences. Just this weekend for Iron Man II, their largest auditorium, #7 had severe sound issues. There was virtually no sound coming out of anything but the center channel. So you could hear dialog clearly, but the effects sounded muted and dull and all that was coming out of the surrounds was a kind of wind-like noise, completely unrelated to the action on-screen. This happened in that same auditorium for Superman Returns a number of years back. Otherwise, it is the best combo of picture and sound in the region!!! read more

I like this theater. It is your typical everyday theater. Not too fancy, not a "dive" just a good old fashoin theater. I have seen now a few movies not ever a problem, now if I could just get someone to stop me from going to bad movies it would be the perfect theater....... read more

The theater itself is pretty good. Plenty of parking, good movies, normal prices. I really like that they have a little cafe over to the side for those of us who may need some caffeine with our movie. Downside? Super-awkward manager who hovers. Why? No idea. The theater opens it's darn doors sometimes 10 minutes before show time, how about opening one half hour earlier to get customers through the line at the ticket booth and then through the slow, slow moving concession stand and in their seats for the show? What is up with the hot dogs always NOT READY when you first open the doors, does no one come in early to get things up and going in time for customers? Seems the staff arrives just 15 minutes before the opening of the doors or later and then nothing gets done, everyone is scrambling to figure out where the buns are, are the dogs on the roller etc. Get the employees their about 45 minutes to an hour earlier than the first show time during the day, have them spread out to details, one or two checking out the theaters for trash, popcorn wipe down seats etc., a few others getting the dogs going heating up the popcorn maker getting the all the other issues like filling up the straws, napkins, etc. filling the flavors of stuff going on the popcorn like the cheddar cheese etc. wiping down the counters, door knobs etc. Have two or three people taking tickets, one dedicated to the scanning of the already purchased tickets the other two helping the window payers, two or three employees at the concession stand etc. Their is not enough employees working to handle all the issues of opening and running that theater it is like the dead end of employees one or two or three is all I ever see working there crazy that no one gets employed or actually works. I would love to be the manger of that place I would ride some butt to get the workers in gear. I would open the doors one half hour before the first show not 10 15 minutes early where everyone is waiting and missing half the show due to slow and inept employees. The manager should - at the end of the night- do a final walk through of all the theaters checking things off the list that are done and not done and the not done things get done before closing the doors at night or NO ONE GOES HOME. Work is work and employees are only as good as the ones running the show, a bad manager runs a shipshod show and things go to the trash bin. Fix this darn theater and the problems and more people will come to the shows. read more

Not impressed with galaxy theater changing their matinee time to 4pm. Just another way to squeeze more money out of their customers, but I'm finding less and less reasons to go to the movie theater these days... It's crap like this that's killing Hollywood profits. read more

My family and I have been here a few times now. Every time the theater has been clean and the staff very friendly. Today we were helped out by Ben. If I could give him 1000 stars I definitely would. He went out of the way to make our Fathers Day movie trip special. Ben truly went above and beyond and made my little ones feel like rock stars. We will be back very soon!! Went to see Rogue 1 today. Throughout the entire movie the screen would glitch out for a second then be fine. But it did this over a dozen times and distracted from the expierence. I notified them of the issue and they notified a manager. Not that I asked but you would think they would give vouchers for another time? I mean you pay to see a movie and after snacks and tickets your uround 60-70 bucks. When an issue happens with the screen several times like that you would think offering vouchers to come back and watch the movie again without glitches would be a nice gesture towards any customer. Don't know if I'll be back there. Don't really feel like spending money to then be distracted throuought the movie with the screen. Especially since they did nothing to encourage me to come back. Pretty dissapointed. Feel like once they get your money whatever happens after is no concern to them. read more

Reserved seating in some of the theaters. Dbox seats are available for an extra charge but worth if you are really interested in a particular movie. The serve alcohol in a few of the theaters so you may not be able to drink in your movie. Could use a deep cleaning but overall good theater. read more

As a loyal hometown girl from Monroe, I must say that I do love the Galaxy. I think that they have really great employees and although they all have bad days, they do a great job. In my previous comment I was a little bit upset about the espresso never being served and that I cant bring my coffee in with me. I am a true North westerner and I love my coffee. But, even though I couldn't have it that day, Galaxy...you are still #1 in my book. My apology for my previous 2 star rating. If you ever need help with running the espresso area, let me know I used to be a barista and I know my stuff! read more

Nice theater, plenty of parking, short lines... and I've never seen a movie sell out. (not to say that it hasn't happened). My complaint is about one bad experience. My family and I went, hit the concession stand for popcorn and soda for all 4 of us, and went to find seats in the theater. Before we could even sit down, my 5 year old dropped her soda, popping off the lid...and emptying the cup. I grabbed the cup, and ran back out to the concession stand, explaining to the same kid behind the counter who sold the stuff to us 2 minutes prior, what just happened, and hoping he'd refill the cup for me. (I know they count cups, and I didn't want him to get in trouble for "giving" me another soda.) But he said "No" I'd have to pay another $4 to get another one. He then took my cup, refilled it anyway, and told me I owed him another $4. I was ticked, but the movie was going to start, so I grabbed the cup and went back to my family and told my husband what had happened. He said "No way!" If he's charging you for another "new" soda... then you need a new cup, not one that fell on this filthy floor. So I let him go back and make a scene. :) If I'd just bought my daughter the jumbo $6 soda to begin with, she could have had a free refill, and instead I paid $8 for 1 medium. read more

Digital DLP is the way to go. I have been watching movies here for awhile and then I caught a movie someplace else on film and it was weird. The scratches on the film stock and other things caught my attention and took me out of the movie experience. read more
