Best shawarma in Texas, amazing service, I recommend for everyone who likes beef or chicken shawarma

I had just finished a workout and was looking for something high in protein but lower in calories when a friend recommended Galilee Falafel & Shawarma in Lake Worth. After my first visit, I completely understand why. When I walked in, I was immediately welcomed and kindly guided through parts of the menu I wasn't familiar with. Mediterranean food usually isn't my go-to, so I appreciated how patient and helpful they were without making me feel out of place. I ordered the beef shawarma plate with tzatziki and hot sauce on the side, then sat at the barstools near the food prep area while I waited. Watching the owner prepare the food was honestly part of the experience. At one point, he came over and insisted I try their tea. I initially declined, but he smiled and said he'd only pour me half a cup. That small act of kindness and hospitality genuinely sold me on this place. The restaurant was clean, quiet, welcoming, and smelled incredible. And yes, absolutely try the tea. It was a custom Earl Grey blend made specifically for them, and it was fantastic. When I got home, I was surprised by how generous the portions were for the price. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully balanced. The spices were used perfectly, the produce tasted fresh, and the food even held its temperature well by the time I got home. I've only been here once so far, but I already plan on becoming a regular, probably at least once a week. Y'all are doing an amazing job, and I'm really glad I found this place. read more

We check this place out because I were craving shawarma. My wife has never had it. She got the chicken which has more of a curry sauce than the traditional white sauce I am use to but she loved it. I had the beef shawarma wrap which was delish. The fries were 10/10 with the seasoning and doneness. The people working offered tea as well. The place is super cute and clean as well. Easily, without any doubt, one of the most amazing food experiences I've had. This restaurant, including its restrooms, were very well taken care of. One of the cleanest facilities in the area. The tzatziki and tahini sauces on the side added to the flavor profiles of the plate. Chicken Shawarma Plate - Chicken was moist and had excellent seasoning/flavor. Protein was tender and like the beef plate, the salad and hummus were fantastic. Garlic and tahini sauces accommodated this plate and were fantasterrific! Warbat - If you're a fan of baklava and have never had this rendition of the dessert then you're definitely missing out. It's a baklava, but stuffed with a sweet cream that's almost like custard. This is your chance to get up and come straight to this restaurant for the life changing dessert. They make it in house and this alone is a worth a trip to the establishment. It's like magic, now you see it, now you don't type of situation because that's just how fast you're going to eat it. Overall, this is an amazing establishment with amazing food and people running it. My only gripe is that it's hidden in a tiny strip mall. So many other places have dry shawarma and don't offer the chicken grilled... they have the chicken grilled. We got that today and it was off the hook. Loved the salad, rice, hummus all of it was FIRE!! I wish the pita was thicker but it's all good that's just my preference. I ordered ahead through their app and it was hot and ready for pick up when I got there. I wasn't sure where to go to get it so I asked and they were really nice and showed me. The colors on the inside of this place are so bright and beautiful... oranges and golds. It was very clean and smelled good in there. 10 outta 10 I can't wait to go again!!! Galilee reviewed well and rightfully so. The restaurant is simple, you order at a counter and the food is brought out to you. The menu is simple as well, easily understood and not overwhelming. We had grape leaves, a chicken shawarma plate, and a Lamb Grill plate. All three were very good (and HUGE). The lamb was very tender and had a great grilled flavor. It was not game-y at all. The chicken shawarma was sliced off the wheel and tossed on the griddle for a sec - also very good. I don't normally like cold grape leaves, but these were honestly amazing - the best I've ever had. They are a tiny bit pricey if you get plates and any extras, but they give you SO MUCH food I feel it's fairly priced. What a WARM WELCOME by the staff! My husband and I stopped in to build a to go order. We knew by the reviews that the food was probably going to be delicious (*spoiler: it was!) but had no idea how kind, fun and generous the service would be. They answered all our Qs about the menu, about what to try and even surprised us with some samples as we waited. We left with our food in hand and smiles on our faces saying, "Wow, they are GREAT!" My husband loved his meal, too! They loaded his Chicken Swarma plate with rice, meat, hummus and a side salad. They included all the sauces for him, too! He's a BIG sauce guy so this was such an added bonus. He can't wait to go back! I wasn't terribly hungry so I opted for some Babaganoush! It was AH-MAZING. I took my order to go from Galilee Falafel and Shawarma but the restaurant itself was clean and glowed with warmth on a rainy day. The service was perfect and very friendly which made a great first impression. I had the beef shawarma plate and their homemade Dubai chocolate bar. The hummus was excellent and the salad was good too. The beef was well seasoned but a little under-salted and unfortunately overcooked and chewy which made me wonder if it was from a leftover batch. The Dubai chocolate bar was rich and very good though definitely on the pricey side. I'll definitely be back to try the chicken shawarma and some of the other sides. read more

Everybody visiting or living in the DFW who loves Mediterranean food or has a desire to try it but doesn't know where to go, I have found you a resting place here at Galilee. Listen good people! They were even specific in what they played over the speakers. It was not music.... It was the sound of nature, chirping birds. It was so relaxing. The tables are a nice material as well, complimenting the walls. The decorum flowed well throughout. Now, let's talk about this food! I didn't know where to begin!!! The portions are plentiful. The food smelled so good. There's nothing like smelling how good the food is before you taste it. It leaves you in a place of great expectation. Let me tell you... I ordered the beef shawarma plate and upon removing the top from the plate (I ordered to go and the plates the food is served in is sturdy and reusable many times over), the fragrance was reminiscent of what I had ben craving. The sumac beautifully sprinkled over the salad was picturesque. It made me wonder how it'd taste because I saw no visual signs of dressing. That salad was so fresh!!! I could have eaten a bowl of the salad by itself. It was so good. Next, the hummus was smoother than butter. It was in a class all by itself. Not too nutty. I've noticed some restaurants have hummus that tastes slightly burnt but not here. The perfect balance of ingredients. Chef's kiss!! The beef (they are not stingy with portions AT ALL) was well-balanced. No dish overpowered the other. It was a marriage made in Galilee's kitchen!! ...and the bed of rice the beef laid on was buttery and flavorful. My palate was well-pleased & yours will be too when you get here and order your dish. This was my first time here and I already know that I would not go wrong with any dish I order. Lastly but most importantly, let me tell you about the customer service. The employees here are wonderful. They were so sweet. Lulu was a sweetheart and great conversationalist. She was helpful and warm from the start. I didn't get the other lady's name because I would have mentioned her by name as well. She had on a head covering and was very pretty. Her makeup was jammin too (I'm such a girlie girl). She was so sweet!! They offer complimentary water or hot tea that's sweetened. I declined the tea originally but my sister took her up on the offer so I caved & I'm glad I did. I don't know what kind of tea that was but I'm certain it's not for sale at Sprouts. It tasted too authentic, the flavors were from another land and it smelled AHMAZING!!! When I go back I'm going to find out where to buy it or how to make it. It was a wonderful compliment to my meal. I have leftovers and I plan to return for another visit in the near future.
