After my first visit, I completely understand why. When I walked in, I was immediately welcomed and kindly guided through parts of the menu I wasn't familiar with. Mediterranean food usually isn't my go-to, so I appreciated how patient and helpful they were without making me feel out of place. I ordered the beef shawarma plate with tzatziki and hot sauce on the side, then sat at the barstools near the food prep area while I waited. Watching the owner prepare the food was honestly part of the experience. At one point, he came over and insisted I try their tea. I initially declined, but he smiled and said he'd only pour me half a cup. That small act of kindness and hospitality genuinely sold me on this place. The restaurant was clean, quiet, welcoming, and smelled incredible. And yes, absolutely try the tea. It was a custom Earl Grey blend made specifically for them, and it was fantastic. When I got home, I was surprised by how generous the portions were for the price. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully balanced. The spices were used perfectly, the produce tasted fresh, and the food even held its temperature well by the time I got home. Warbat - If you're a fan of baklava and have never had this rendition of the dessert then you're definitely missing out. It's a baklava, but stuffed with a sweet cream that's almost like custard. This is your chance to get up and come straight to this restaurant for the life changing dessert. They make it in house and this alone is a worth a trip to the establishment. It's like magic, now you see it, now you don't type of situation because that's just how fast you're going to eat it. Overall, this is an amazing establishment with amazing food and people running it. My only gripe is that it's hidden in a tiny strip mall. Believe the hype! This place is outstanding. I had been looking for a place like this after losing my place in Florida once I moved here.... Finally I found a place. So many other places have dry shawarma and don't offer the chicken grilled... they have the chicken grilled. We got that today and it was off the hook. We had grape leaves, a chicken shawarma plate, and a Lamb Grill plate. All three were very good (and HUGE). The lamb was very tender and had a great grilled flavor. It was not game-y at all. The chicken shawarma was sliced off the wheel and tossed on the griddle for a sec - also very good. I don't normally like cold grape leaves, but these were honestly amazing - the best I've ever had. They are a tiny bit pricey if you get plates and any extras, but they give you SO MUCH food I feel it's fairly priced.
