I have gotten my birthday cake from Emilia's two years in a row now, and at this point it's basically a tradition. This year was the classic tiramisu again and somehow I still wasn't prepared for how good it is. I ended up eating nearly half the cake myself. If you know tiramisu, you'll appreciate this one. The sponge is very soaked like super rich, espresso-forward, and honestly feels like drinking a glass of coffee in dessert form. I personally love that deep, juicy texture, but if you're someone who prefers a lighter, less saturated sponge, this might be a bit much for you. That said, it's absolutely worth trying. Just maybe start with a smaller size at the restaurant before committing to a full cake. This is exactly the kind of tiramisu I crave, and it's the reason Emilia's keeps being the birthday cake spot every year. read more

Decent food, but nothing to rave about! My family and I made a reservation for dinner at Emilia's. The ambiance is very modern and trendy! Service was excellent and it felt very fancy! For apps we had the Butternut Squash Soup and the Burrata. The Burrata was very tasty (loved the pickled berries) but the soup was lacking in basic flavor. I went up here on a whim for a belated birthday dinner with my pops. I honestly wanted to order some fancier stuff but we went with the pizza because we were on that vibe lol. It was really good, but I wish I tried more of their menu. Honestly will be going back and likely will have a 5 star experience. The only reason I'm giving it 4 is because if I'm just basing it off pizza, I've had some really amazing pizza in the world, and I hold that 5-star for those couple spots. Everything else was for sure five stars and worth checking out. Server was excellent, fun, and attentive. She was a downright sweet person. No complaints there whatsoever. We ordered the arincini, soup of the day, and the pizza. All of it was great. The arincini was slightly overdone, but I didn't care because the salsa verde with it was so unique and delicious. Did a second try on this spot for breakfast. Hands down one of the best in Fort Worth. Service was fantastic also. Steak and Eggs perfectly cooked (best scrambled eggs ever) and waffle is made with a batter that perfectly compliments the syrup and is balanced with a chantilly cream. Y'all, I REALLY wanted to like this place. The first time I went I had a horrible experience so I didn't post a bad review. I went back today (about a year later) with high hopes they would redeem themselves. For a restaurant in The Crescent Hotel, I cannot believe the level of service we were given today at brunch. First of all we were all dressed up for the holidays, most of us wearing black. We asked for a black napkin and we were told they don't have them. We ordered our drinks which were cappuccino and iced tea, and the server did not bring any sugar or spoons until we stopped him and asked for some. (our server said he had worked there for two years.) After we ordered; about 30 minutes later, he came back by and said "Did anybody ask you what bread you'd like to substitute on your breakfast sandwich?" Wait. Who was supposed to come by? We weren't told you didn't have a croissant... so he substituted for sourdough bread and we sat and waited at least another 30 minutes and they brought out a bowl of soup with no spoon. Mama Mia! Later when the food was brought out, they started auctioning off the food... "who had the hamburger...who had the avocado toast... " and when they handed me my plate of food, they did not set it down on the table, they handed it to me like I'm supposed to grab a hold of it myself. Like right at my chest. So so odd. I think I'm done overpaying for this ridiculousness. This time the food was fair, but the hamburger bun was absolutely soaked through on the bottom. Started with a cocktail at the bar while I waited for girlfriends to show up. This was possibly the best espresso martini I have had in a while in Fort Worth. Would recommend the bar for happy hour! We dinned as a small group of 5 in main dining. The dining room is stunning! Can be a little noisy but if you're table is having fun it's easy to overlook. Our server was excellent. This was a really beautiful restaurant which is nestled inside the Crescent Hotel in Fort Worth. We made reservations in advance and were greeted immediately with a smile. Once seated, our server Kevin, brought us water and menus. We ordered the 6 ounce sirloin, potatoes, and asparagus. The steak was cooked perfectly and melted in our mouths! OMG, no kidding, we talked about that steak for days. The restrooms were nice and parking was by valet. The only negatives were some fruit flies or gnats that made their presence known and the service. We are comfortable paying higher prices for an outstanding experience and food, but our service did not match it the hotel, the clientele, or our expectations. Here are some examples. Unfortunately, we had to ask several times for lemons from our server. When our friend asked, Kevin reached for the one lemon on a plate and placed it on our friend's glass as if to say "here you are." We all wanted more lemon, but that was too familiar. I wouldn't want someone else's hands to touch my lemon and squeeze it onto my glass unless they were doing food prep or were preparing drinks. Servers handle menus and what not, so that was not okay. When he finally did bring them, there was no acknowledgement of the wait. Again, the food is pretty pricey but we were prepared for a special celebration. This was not a night at Boomer Jack's. Hubby wanted to go to a "hotel breakfast" this weekend, so i picked one of the newer hotels in the Cultural District- the Crescent on Camp Bowie. I managed to make the reservation for the wrong day, but they were happy to transfer it to Sunday and get us seated. It is a beautiful open, modern space with lots of natural light. Once the restaurant became busy, however, service noticeably declined, and there was no acknowledgment or apology. One of our main dishes (the branzino) was served with our salad and was cold by the time the rest of our entrées and sides arrived about 25 minutes later, with no recognition that the food was not brought out together. Inexplicable lapses and delays for food, had to flag someone down to order another drink because our server was MIA. Food very uneven as well. Gemelli pasta with mint and peas was tasty but my halibut was overcooked and I thought the "green cioppino" served over it was not worth it - just a weird broth with overcooked clams and mussels around the edge of dish. Coffee 10/10 from local roasters. Two eggs any style 10/10, eggs were scrambled with toast and the potato galette and I added bacon. All of the food was top notch quality. Eggs were not over cooked and served with a little salt and pepper. The added bacon was thick cut and there was four pieces! Big pieces. The potato galette was exactly what Travis described and more. Sprinkled with large chunks of salt and it tasted like there was a little lime zest, but I love margaritas so maybe I am projecting. For the holiday drink I ordered the Harvest Moon. The cinnamon acre whiskey and apple cider pair perfectly and the brown sugar simple syrup makes this drink dangerously delicious. If this drink is available all year it would be my go to drink. Travis is the GOAT. He was very helpful when i asked questions about the menu. Travis was also consistent with filling up my coffee, so it was rarely cold or low. Travis was the only server on the floor and before I left he was handling four extra tables himself. Great job Travis. Cost of the food here is the same as any hotel restaurants, but I honestly think the quality makes up for it. I can envision myself bringing family from out of town here as a treat. read more

This elegant hotel the Crescent is nestled in the perfect spot on Camp Bowie Boulevard in Fort Worth. Once entering the hotel, we went to the bar (Emilia's) seated ourselves, then waited for someone to give us a menu, drink or something. Plus I needed to let them know my name and I was an Elite Yelp Team Member. Unfortunately it took some time before we were even noticed. ( they were not that busy ). Finally a nice looking bartender, took our order ( I had the Santas sleigh and she ordered a veggie pizza and a margarita ) the gentlemen told me that I had a gift from Yelp and he would be right back with the gift and the drinks. My friend, Lenise and I sat and chatted about our day as we were people watching and enjoying ourselves. I'm glad that we dressed for the occasion. I snapped a couple photographs and then our order came. I'm not a big fan of a veggie pizza but I did have one slice, we enjoyed our drinks ordered another one and then we decided we would go to the lobby so I could take some more photographs and then we would head home. I had my parking ticket validated took some photographs and left. I do recommend this hotel because I like elegance and quality. Discovered Emilia's on IG. Decided to stop in for brunch. Called ahead and believe I was told Brunch was over at 3, could have been miscommunication. Thinking it ended at 3, we arrived around 2pm and were told brunch had ended. Decided to stay for a mocktail. Ordered Just In Thyme. Love that they have crafted a Free Spirited Menu, this one wasn't a favorite though. Tasted like a sweet lemonade. I will have to try another next visit. Saturday Brunch this morning with two friends was hardly the elevated experience we expected. I'll start by saying the food was fine. My salmon Eggs Benedict were quite good, even if the egg yolks were on the hard side. One friend enjoyed her burger. Our other friend ordered a waffle with chicken, and the chicken was overdone and dry. She said adding syrup helped. The ambience was fine, if you don't mind the, "It's a hotel breakfast place so patrons will come down in their grubby clothes" vibe. So, why the two-star review? To be frank, the service was horrible. Ok, I will say my coffee miraculously was refilled when I needed it. But our waters? Never refilled, not once. Two of us ordered mimosas, but we were never asked if we wanted another, even though the menu advertises a mimosa cart that we saw circling the room but somehow never made its way to us. The worst part? Once our food appeared, we never saw our waiter again - until he finally showed up when we were more than ready for the check. My coffee had been refilled by other staff. I would have included pictures of our food, but in spite of the fact that we asked our waiter to take pictures of us with the food when it arrived, and he appeared to take several snaps, when I looked at my phone back in the car - lo and behold, there were no pics! I have no idea what he thought he was doing. It never occurred to me to check that the pics were fine, much less existent, after he took them, because he had appeared to take several. This place is expensive, which we expected. What we didn't expect was the lackluster experience. We brunch monthly and Emilia's definitely will not be in rotation. read more

This place is first class! We enjoyed everything about our brunch here last weekend. This restaurant is gorgeous, comfortable, well staffed, and has delicious food. We started with the best fresh orange juice that I've had in a while. It tasted very Floridian; sweet. The latte was hot and included a perfectly done espresso shot. I ordered the French toast and asked that they do it with gluten-free bread and made like the waffle in regards to the caramel praline topping. Oh my, was that amazing?! The bacon and the hash brown were great sides. The bacon is slap yo mama thick and delicious. Cooked well; not fatty or burnt. The potato was also on point. The smoked salmon station was the best: a high quality of salmon. The salad station was limp spinach, not stemmed,a choice of dressings and a few garnishes. The charcuterie board was "pedestrian". 2 unnamed cheese cubes:1/4"... tiny! It included fresh skinny slices of pineapple,blueberries and strawberries as a garnish: a few nuts and tiny cured meats. The " hot" station had wonderful deviled eggs but the rest showed no imagination. Truffled Macaroni and cheese,chewier than gummy worms . Beef tenderloin that was chewy and ham! I love ham but there was bacon and sausage on the breakfast buffet. Certainly there were upscale selections they could have offered for $120 pp+ 20& gratuity pre paid! Been here many times whether it's for lunch or for dinner and it has always been a great experience. They have a very wide selection of food and different options depending on the time of day you go. It's nice that they have the circle bar right there next to Emelia's so you can get some great cocktails while you wait or after dinner. The staff and reception has always been very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend if it's a Friday or Saturday night to try to make a reservation if you can just to be safe because it is a very popular venue. The decor is amazing and the food is equally stunning. With that being said it is a restaurant in a hotel. Smaller dining room with limited seating so make sure you have a reservation. Food- we ordered the Italian pizza and it was really good. We gave this place another try last night and honestly just save your money. Giving two stars because the atmosphere is nice. The food... not so good. Got the oysters and asked for cocktail sauce. They brought us ketchup. I understand cocktail sauce has a ketchup base but what they sat down was 98% ketchup with a little horseradish and lemon in it. It smelled and looked just like ketchup. Not what you expect when you go to a place with prices like this. The dish I got was advertised to have shrimp. The shrimp were the size of a blueberry or smaller. Also not what you expect when you pay $31 for a dish. My husband got the Branzino and it had zero flavor. We had them box the food up and went somewhere else. Food went into the trash. The chicken is served as a whole 1/3 chicken, it's too dry, it's tough and difficult to cut.. felt I needed a steak knife. Surely it's possible to serve a moist and tender piece of yard bird. If they can't do that they need to serve it with a sauce. And the menu states the dish includes Brussels sprouts which turned out to be nothing more than a few fried sprouts leaves.. quite misleading! My wife liked her seared Halibut with white beans.
