I have been going to a Pearle Vision for over 10 years and recently moved. I chose this place because of its proximity to my new home. I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with the customer service. The young lady who took car of me and the optometrist were great. When selecting my glasses the gentleman brought out my two trays that I could get through my insurance and walked away. Didn't check on me once. When i completed my selection I went to find him and again the service was very lackluster. This was the first time I was informed it would be a 4 week turn around time based on my insurance. I paid additional money to have the lenses shaved down since it was not covered by insurance. 3 weeks pass I go to call the office and I'm placed on a hold while they call the lab. When the young lady returned she informed me they were no ready and it takes 4 week turn around time for the glasses and that they should be in the following week. End of the following weeks comes I call in again to get an update, the gentleman that called informed me they were not in and then stated the turn around time is 4 to 6 weeks for my insurance. When I informed the gentleman this is the first time I was being told of that turn around time he began to cut me off and insist they tell all their customers 4 to 6 weeks. After going back and forth informing him that this was the first time I was told that he then changed it to well when I tell customers I tell them 4 to 6 weeks. I do have state insurance and I know they can tend to drag. What I didn't appreciate was the lack of customer service, the lack of communication, and what feels like the lack of attention to service because I did have state insurance. So fast it's been an overall terrible experience. Would not recommend and would not return when this is all over. read more

I came in last minute without scheduling an eye doctor appointment, luckily the eye doctor was working that day and they were able to get my vision checked out right away. Then the front desk assistant helped me find a new perfect pair of glasses! Overall, I'm very pleased and I highly recommend for those looking for a quality pair. read more

I love the fact that this place accept Medicaid insurance. This one of the few that do. What I didn't care for was the treatment from techs who served me. Once they found out I had Medicaid insurance they were quite dismissive. The Optometrist however was very accommodating. The place overall was warm and inviting, but I guess if you are a cash paying or regular insurance paying client you are priority and worth the time. read more

Horrible experience over $25 that was going to be paid later they refused to see me although insurance was always covering expenses. Rude Managers and not helpful at all. It was for my sons eye contact appointment and they refused to let me explain or talk professional to me. Definitely do not recommend this place. read more

Let me just say, they were extremely patient with my indecisiveness and they helped a lot by narrowing it down to my perfect pair. When it came to finally purchasing them they made it hassle-free. Expensive frames, high prices, lousy area, nice girls work there but there is some guy who was there when I picked up my son's glasses and when my son complained that he could not see with them, he got kinda ticked off. I won't be back in that neighborhood. I like the guy that used to own that place, but not this one. Even Sears is better, cheaper and more polite. read more

Went to get glasses for my daughter and son on 12/3/14 and they told me they would be ready in 8-10 weeks because of my insurance. Tomorrow is going to be 12 weeks and I still haven't received them. First and last time I come to this place. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone! Very disappointedy UPDATE: 3/4/15 Finally got the call that the glasses were ready. Well when we went they told me that only my daughter's glasses were ready. I asked why if they were ordered on the same day she said she didn't know. Then I asked if I could get my son's prescription and she said that I had to go to the clinic were my son got the eye exam. Very unprofessional. 13 weeks to get only one out of two pairs ordered. I've been coming here for 3 years and have not been dissatisfied with their services once. The receptionists are all nice, informative, and happy to help if you have any questions. The doctor gives a quick and accurate exam. Their frame selection is fantastic, and have a frames for various tastes and budgets. read more

The staff were nice, but the waiting area is small, dirty, and crammed. They don't have a big selection of glasses and waited over an hour to be seen. I switched her hoping I'd get a better experience from my last eye doctor location but looks like I'll have to switch again. read more

I came here to get a pair of glasses when I first walked in I was greated with a smile. One of the young guys at the front desk skinny with glasses a wanna be Justin Bieber approached me and asked what can he do for me. My response I'm here to get glasses he said ok but once I said my medical card was covering my glasses he went from charming to rude real quick and started treating me with an attitude. He treated me as if he was better than me. Then they have another young man at the front desk again very rude. Both made me feel bad when I asked how long till I get my glasses. With a response of "since your not paying cash and your using the medical card so your getting your glasses free about 3 months maybe longer you see if you payed for them you'd get em in a couple days". I am very disappointed with the customer service. Really think you should tell your employees to learn manner and to respect your customers. The only one that was not a disappointment was the actual eye doctor himself very caring, professional and friendly. Will not be recommending you guys at all. Was very upset at the customer service I recieved on thursday Dec 11 2014. I currently am disabled and have medicaid and medicare. I went for an eye exam about almost a month ago and was told that my primary insurance only covered glasses and not the eye exam. I then told the lady I have a 3 year memebership for America's Best I was able to afford a few years back I can go and get my exam there and bring the prescription here to get it filled correct? She said yes it will take approximately 8 to 10 weeks to be delivered because of the insurance I said okay I will return another day with the prescription. On Thursday I returned I explained the situation and was told to pick out a pair of eyeglasses which I did and then was told by a young man that I needed to leave my original prescription with them. I then got upset and asked why? He then stated that the insurance company would not approve the payment for the glasses if the original copy was not sent over. Of course I knew it was a lie. His co-worker seconded his response and stated that I needed to give them my original prescription I then replied no again I paid several years back for my 3 year memebership and I wanted to keep "My prescription" what I do with it is my business I paid for it afterall but I did want to use it online to purchase cheap inexpensive glasses if I was to find a cheap website but then again that was none of their business I didn't feel like I needed to explain anything to them. Meanwhile it seemed like they were amuzed by my reaction of wanting to keep my prescription I was highly upset and disgusted another man walked into the front and seen I was upset he then expained to me that they(Galileo Optical) "prefer" to keep the original and only send out the copy to the insurance I was shocked by his response and said wow these two gentlemen told me otherwise he then said we will put your order through with the copy then he turned to the young ignorant man and his response with his back turned to me and his co-worker was I am not taking care of her I dont even want to talk to her Wow ! 2 thumbs up ! I got a great deal at Galileo Optical! I was able to get some Versace frame and lenses for $279. The gentleman that took care of me seemed very knowledgeable and the girls were very friendly. I found the location area safe despite the comment from the previous review. Plus they have free parking! They even have a complete set of glasses for under $50. Definetly not an expensive place. Hardly do I write a review on Yelp, but I thought I would do everyone thinking of coming here a favor and be as descriptive as possible with my experience at this "Boutique". Let me just start off by saying that i was standing there at the front desk for 5 minutes before the two receptionists who were doing nothing ( 25-30 year old huskier woman with long straight black hair and a very young, slim, pale boy, i believe the "Justin Bieber" wanna be that the previous reviewer was referring to) even acknowledged me. The woman then very, very rudely said "How can i help you?" without even looking at me, they seemed very bothered even though they currently weren't doing a thing. finally after i explained to them that i was looking to buy some glasses, (I had my own prescription), the young man decided to show me some glasses, i usually get my glasses at America's Best and i never paid more than $200/$300 my prescription is not very high, i just like nice frames. This man was very pushy, and completely disregarded what i told him i wanted. instead, he gave me a ridiculous price of $700 for "the top thinnest lenses" and antiglare and all these things i didn't need nor want. when i explained to him that i did not want those things he got extremely angry and went from having a bad attitude to an even worse attitude. i took my prescription and left. i had a horrible experience here and do not plan on ever going back. Unless you desire PUSHY AND RUDE receptionists, high prices, not even being explained what you're purchasing, and not to mention the horrible look from the woman working there, as if getting up out of her chair is too much work for her, then come here. but if you desire even the tiniest bit good customer service, GO ELSEWHERE. The atmosphere here is abominable and the employees are just BAD. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more
