This is a really bad place to do business with..I took my car in to get a NEW transmission put in my 2020 ford eco sport..They allowed my car to sit in the hot sun in their yard for about 8 months I was told they had received approval for a NEW transmission with an unlimited mileage warranty.. so then I waited another couple weeks and started calling..same thing different day..then ten months went by and I was told that they where in process of replacing it and would be done soon..couple weeks ago by and keep receiving empty promises of completion dates .NOTHING was getting done. Then my family went in and let them know 11 months was long enough and we where going to contact ASE and ford to make a complaint and go from there. Well they get the car done in four days, paid for a rental for time to finish the car and then called me to come get it. 8 weeks down the road the car is no longer accelerating as it should. I took it into another car dealership for a second opinion..well upon checking the transmission fluid the mechanic said it was extremely overfilled which can destroy the transmission and cause complete engine failure. And the fluid was black. The mechanic does not believe it was flushed properly or a new transmission was put in..they stopped work and suggested I take it back to ford. Once again Casey Gallagher, Casey the service manager, neither where available. They booked an appointment for the following Tuesday. I called Casey to let him know I was bringing it in and he informed me that even though the warranty was solely through ford, he refused to service my car. That right there tells me he knows he didn't do things right and failed to take responsibility for the poor work they did do. I contacted Ford and made a complaint and will continue until my car gets the work I paid for. Would not recommend this Ford car dealership to anyone... Horrible experience. read more

My car broke down while traveling out of state. It was a nightmare dealing with the shop I originally went to to get it fixed. After looking and finding a ford dealership I figured even if it's a little more costly getting work done at a dealership at least they will do everything right.. I was unfortunately mistaken. my car sat there for weeks. They kept saying they were gonna look at it and putting it off. It ended up being a simple fix...the fuel pump. It took this place weeks to figure out it needed a fuel pump.the workers were polite but I honestly feel like I was out on the back burner and less important to them because my car is a little older ..2001. i kept the runaround for weeks from them when in reality a faulty fuel pump shouldn't take more than a few hours to identify, and installing the new fuel pump can easily be done in less than a day.. I don't understand why it's so hard for a licensed dealership to figure out a simple mechanical issue such as that. read more

I just bought a new Ford Explorer from Gallagher Ford. I drove from a distance because they had a model with the options I wanted. Because I was coming from out of town, I had to do a lot of prep over the phone. Both Heather and Izzy were extremely helpful. Izzy pretty much had the deal done over the phone. I only had a few minor details to work out with my trade in and financing but the sales manager worked through that quickly. I was in and out and back on the road in no time. We were traveling in our campervan and needed an oil change. They fit us into their schedule. (We used the extra time to visit the California Wagon Trail Interpretive Museum, which was fantastic). I had an appointment for 8: o'clock and brought my truck in a little earlier than that. Called the service dept at 10:10 for a status. They said they hadn't even started yet and would call me when they were done. I reminded them I had an appointment and was disappointed they hadn't even started work yet. They didn't seem to care. So I asked for an estimate of when it would be ready they got real peeved and repeated they would call when it was ready. Highly unprofessional and I am sorely disappointed in their customer service One more thing, but nobody int the parts or service dept wore a mask. Even when I asked them to wear one (I am in a high risk group for age and comorbidity) they refused. This is not a place I would go back to if I had a choice. read more

My fiancé and I broke down on a road trip from CA to VA. My fiancé somewhat fixed the problem but we wanted to make sure. We contacted our dealership about the warranty and was advised to take it to this Ford dealership- the closest one- for warranty purposes to make sure it was okay to continue driving the extensive distance. We arrived at 8 am when they opened and they stated they were already 2 weeks behind on trucks waiting to be serviced and would only be able to schedule us 2 weeks out even though we advised we just needed someone to take a look to make sure it was safe to continue on our way not make any repairs. I bought a Ford Transit van from Gallagher when my E350 broke down in Elko early in 2019. Since then I've made several trips back-and-forth between Minnesota and California and each time stopped in at Gallagher with one request or another. Sometimes seeking information about the van or my warranty, sometimes having service work done, sometimes with a problem or an issue and sometimes just to say hello. These folks have always exceeded my expectations of what good customer service is. From the initial sale to the weekend tech support, in every department they excel and I would definitely recommend doing business with them. read more

I received a letter from Ford Motor Company advising me to schedule service to correct a potential defect. I scheduled the service with Gallagher Ford and dropped the vehicle off the day prior. The morning of the service I received a call to collect my vehicle, as no work was going to be performed. I contacted Ford Motor Company who advised discussing the matter with the service manager, as they could not provide an explanation. On collection of the vehicle I was informed that no work was done because I hadn't expressed concern. I did state that I felt scheduling the service and arriving for the service was as powerful an expression of concern as needed to be made. They did not concur. read more

I was traveling from California to Idaho towing a trailer when a check engine light came on in my F350 and my truck lost most of it's power. Fortunately (or so I thought) I was only about 10 miles from Elko, where there was a Ford dealer. I dropped my trailer and got to the dealer at 4:20. I asked if they could check the code for me. The guy at the counter went to the back to see if anyone was available. He came back about 5 minutes later and said everyone was busy and I would need to come back the next day. I explained to him I was passing through and I realized no one would be available to work on my truck without an appointment, but their parts department was still open so if they could just read the fault code for me I might be able to buy what I needed from their parts department before they closed. Nope, bring it back in the morning was their only response, and there was no guarantee they would be able to check it in the morning but they would try to "get to it between other customers" sometime the next day. It takes about 3 minutes to check a fault code. 3 minutes. I ended up going to the auto parts store down the street and buying a code reader. Horrible customer service. read more

I was fed up with the Ford dealerships of Las Vegas, so I decided to try one in a smaller town. This dealership was very friendly and helpful, when it came to my problem. They even suggested other options that I could do at home to deal with my situation, since I live 3 hours from Elko. Sadly they could not really fix my car, but they did the best they could and worked with me on the cost. read more

I recently bought a used F350 at Gallagher. My truck was having some issues on a cross country move and we ended up in Elko, so I traded it in on a newer model. Truck is great and the service was even better. A much smoother process here when compared to other dealers I have purchased at in the past. On a side note, the owner Mike Gallagher came over and shook my hand and even sat down and had a nice conversation with me about his ranch and how working on a farm instills good values and work ethic. It was so enlightening and different from any other experience at any other car sales lot I've ever been at and I knew I was getting a solid truck at a solid price. I hope that when his son takes over, he continues with these values in mind. I primarily dealt with Sarina and she was a dream to work with. I would highly recommend checking them out if you're in the market. read more

The service department is a joke. Oil changes are always scheduled 2 weeks out and when you bring your vehicle in for an appointment it takes a minimum of 3 hours to rotate the tires and change the oil when you wait in their "lounge". If you drop it off they don't even look at your truck that day (this is with an appointment). The service writers NEVER call you or return calls. Wal-mart is a better option. read more

Casey Gallagher is a joke in service. My diesel broke down due to a restricted oil cooler in West Wendover. I had it towed the 100+ miles to Gallagher. I advised them I had a engine oil temp of 240+ degrees and a coolant temp of approx. 190-195 degrees. I picked up a Ford oil cooler at SLC Ford and had it in the truck when delivered to Gallagher. I was quoted 6.6 hours of labor by Leni. I received a call from Kelly about 30 seconds before I sent the keys out and she advised me that it was actually more. They advised me that the book required 6.0 more hours for a EGR Cooler change and another 5.0 hours for a coolant flush. I told them my EGR Cooler was already deleted and to not touch it. Casey said that would not be an issue. I did ask why it took 6.0 hours when the EGR and Oil cooler are right next to each other. I was told the times are due to the requirement to take the turbo and intake off.. for both replacements, so they were charging me twice to take the turbo and intake off once. The next argument was that they wanted 5.0 hours to flush the coolant. I told them they were out of their minds if they thought I was going to pay $500 to have someone take the De-Gas cap off, take the lower radiator hose off, turn the water on and walk away. Casey argued and argued that the flush was required by the book for the Ford warranty. The plan was to take the truck in, diagnose it and call me before any repairs were made. I received a call two days later from Leni. She advised the tech found my Clutch Fan Relay was unplugged and that my De-Gas cap did not have a O-ring. I was advised the truck did not overheat after that. I paid the $155 diagnosis bill and took the train from Reno to Elko in the middle of the night to pick the truck up. When I got to Gallagher Ford, I noticed that Lurch or someone at least 6'7" tall was in my truck. My mirror adjustment knob was missing from the door and I have trouble finding gears because now my column shifter moves approximately 3.75 inches up and down while still in gear. Once I got home I realized my temperature split was still the same. I called Leni back the next day and told her about my issues. I eventually talked to Casey who argued that the correct diagnosis was made. I asked him what the Ford manual says about temp splits. He wasn't able to tell me. I advised that a split of 15 degrees is cause for a removal and replacement of the cooler. I told him that it appeared as though they wanted to just pass the buck and not deal with it. He told me that me saying that was absurd. I took the truck to Jones West Ford in Reno. 30 seconds after I got there, the adviser and diesel tech went out to my truck and looked at my monitor. They advised it is a "no brainer" and that the oil cooler definitely needed changed. Gallagher Ford is a joke and Casey Gallagher is a garbage service manager. read more

I bought a neat Ford F 250 pick up only to be damaged in there.When I complained with the BBB ,they denied all did not fix what they have damaged.They do not have qualified personnel to repair old Ford F 250 pick ups. read more

Sales women was polite and knowledgeable. The sales manager had a rude and condescending attitude to put it politely. On top of that high prices and magic math. I will never step foot in that dealership again. read more
