Awesome group of people that have a wonderful manager! We sold our truck to Gallagher Ford, and the process took less than 30min!

Neff's Diesel Repair & Performance

Update: The owner reached out to me after looking into what happened. He has offered to make it…read moreright and the truck is currently back in their shop actually being repaired now. While mistakes happen, a good owner that will correct the mistakes is priceless! THAT is good business! As a current deisel owner, having a local repair shop that can be trusted for any future needs is immensely valuable to me. I will update further after I get the truck back. I am thrilled to have a running truck soon! Thank you, Jeremy! In my opinion, Neff's services were costly, inaccurate and took to long. I bought a 2018 Ram 1500 Big Horn EcoDiesel with a 30-day warranty in Las Vegas and drove it home to Elko. The truck started to experience coolant loss and overheating during the drive home, showing the tell-tell signs of a cracked EGR Cooler as there was zero visible leaks. The dealership directed me to take the truck to Neff's instead of trying to get the truck back to Las Vegas. About a week later, Neff's submitted a repair order to the dealership for a coolant system flush and heater core back flush which the dealership paid Neff's to be completed. This along with a license plate light install came to $1,360. Unfortunately, I was left out of these "repair" details. The next day after picking up the truck, thinking it was repaired, it was still experiencing the same coolant loss and I took the truck back into Neff's that day. It took Neff's over 2 more additional weeks to diagnosis the EGR Cooler failure bringing us to the very end of the 30-day warranty. Since the dealership had already paid Neff's for a "repair" the dealership is no longer willing to cover any further repairs. While most of my dilemma is from the dealership not honoring their warranty, Neff's significantly added to the dilemma by initially misdiagnosing the issue (Neff's tech admitted that verbally over the phone to me) and taking so long to correctly diagnosis the issue. The quote from Neff's for EGR Cooler replacement is also about $1,000 more than Elko Motors (the Ram Dealership) quoted. Thought that might be valuable information as well. Perhaps, if Neff's had accurately diagnosed the EGR Cooler failure initially and in less time than 3 weeks, my unfortunate circumstance might have had a better outcome. What makes me most upset is how common and known the EGR Cooler issue is with this specific truck and how long it took Neff's to diagnose it. Oh yeah, Neff's also tried to charge me for a second diagnostic charge when I picked up the truck.

Most people I talked to in Elko had negative things to say about this shop, but I was stranded and felt I had no options. When I finally got my truck back I had made it to Salt Lake and found that the inner rear tire was flat. The valve stem was broken off??? It could have had deadly results. Run, do not walk from this despicable business! About the review... they asked me not to post a review. One str is one too many!

Future Car wash customers beware!…read more I waited a long time before deciding to write this review, hoping to get some sort of response from management, but obviously my concerns fell on deaf ears. A while back I took my brand new vehicle in for a single car wash. I used a debit card I very rarely use and would never want a subscription created using that means of payment. One of the employees assisted me with the transaction and I unknowingly left with a monthly subscription that I did not authorize nor was I aware of. (In fact I was never even given a window sticker) Weeks later I came back, this time I had a subscription created using my typical means of payment, at which time the staff placed a window sticker in my windshield for future car washes. As soon as I realized I was being charged for two separate subscriptions for the same vehicle--one linked to my bank account and one to my credit card--I canceled the disputed subscription. I asked for a refund due to the fact I had no knowledge of the subscription and I also never had a single car wash using the unauthorized subscription. (I did however use my authorized subscription a few times) I feel that was a fair request because my subscription had cost them zero dollars. They made money for nothing at my expense. Doing the right thing and giving me a refund would cost them nothing. It's definitely not going to break them. I am very concerned about the ongoing charges for the subscription I was unaware of and had never received a sticker for. This situation raises questions about the process for initiating recurring charges, particularly why charges continued when no official window sticker had been issued for the unused subscription nor did I receive any car washes. I wonder how many other unauthorized subscriptions are happening as I speak? I have since stopped payments on my authorized subscription. This is too bad, they had the opportunity to do the right thing and chose to ignore me. Otherwise, I would still have a subscription today. In the long run, this is going to cost them more than had they just refunded my money.

Was my favorite place to stay when I was tired or needed rest. I always made sure to buy gas here…read moreor even food inside the store. A couple nights ago, I had pulled in to rest (like I usually do), in less than 5 minutes of being there, the owner had called the police for "trespassing," mind you this is a place where semi-trucks and personal vehicles stop at for that main purpose. The owner claimed that I came to dump trash, yet I was resting when the cops came. I never disturbed anyone or ever disrespected the property of any sort of way. I was the only one removed while other vehicle and semis got to stay. I still don't understand that hostility of this owner. I definitely will never shop there or get gas again. I also advised my family and friends who have trucking companies to not go there anymore and recommended other local gas stations that treat there customers with decency, and where they don't have to worry about be awaken by cops over a false report. Yeah the blue truck you called the cops on for no reason, I'll make sure word get around.

I used to stay in Elko on business and the locals told me that this station has been charging a LOT more for gas for many years. I once saw their prices at almost a dollar more than other stations there. It seems that this is the first station many motorists see when they pull off I-80 at the east end of Elko. Some of them don't look any further than this station, so they can keep raking in the money from enough naive motorists to allow them to continue this practice. If you need gas in Elko, avoid this place unless you like paying a lot more.
