Our family mainly utilizes the children's section, which is large with a variety of activities for kids beyond books and periodicals. They have a few coloring and craft stations set up, as well as computers. The sensory room is our favorite! It's separate from the rest of the children's area to allow for quiet play or reading. It's a great spot for babies and toddlers to play! There's also fenced in courtyard with a few kids' playhouses and plenty of seating to enjoy time outside in nice weather.

We ate at some great restaurants, drank at some great breweries, shopped at some great shops, and of course, listened to some great music. So much music! We had four days to cram in as much as we could. Visited the Grand Ole Opry for the first time and took the backstage pass. Our tour guide was fantastic. When I come back next, I'll be coming to a show at the Grand Ole Opry. We spent a couple of hours at the Country Music Hall of Fame, drove past the Parthenon, Titan Stadium, Vanderbuilt University, and the State Capital. Can't wait to come back again soon!

Most charge over $25 per night. There are plenty of hotels for every lifestyle and wallet. There is always something going on in this town that every visit is different. There is either a new restaurant/bar, new hotels, free concerts, and plenty of fun people watching and sightseeing. There are plenty of fee paid activities and chartered party busses up and down the street. There are plenty of free things to do as well. The Parthenon is cool and the farmers market has a little bit of everything. The riverfront is just plain pretty and the city does their best to keep it clean and safe. In the evenings the streets get crowded but now that vehicles get the right of way on the streets and walking patrons are corralled behind sidewalk barriers. Everyone crosses at the same time. It seems to work well. The best part of Nashville is that everyone is from somewhere else and everyone loves being here to visit.

We didn't have a great experience because of that person BUT we stopped by today to take a look just for fun. It's like night and day. I wish we could redo our wedding there now. Lol. It is such a cool old home with lots of interesting history and Eli, who runs it, is basically an encyclopedia. You can tell he really has a passion for it. The house has been improved in lots of ways and they are having cool events and things there now too. The place is beautiful, it is insanely affordable to book (it also has a small reception area that was great for our wedding), and now that Eli is there I have no doubt it would be a great experience. I used to never mention Rose Mont to people when they were looking for a wedding venue, but that all changed today...thanks to Eli! Go meet him and tour the place, you won't regret it!

We mostly check out children's books here, but we have gotten ones from the upstairs before as well. I do wish there was more parking, but it seems that this has become an issue with the new court house. So it would be nice if that lot was for library patrons only. Otherwise we love our local library and supporting the fun things that they do for the community!

Madison Park is the first park acquired after the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation was…read moreestablished in 1963, at their first meeting. Elvis's manager, Colonel Tom Parker, donated $7,000 to help pay for the park. The park also hosted a`n annual Madison Hillbilly Day- proceeds of which were also used towards the park purchase funds. The park was purchased for $9,000n from Opha Bixer. The property was turned over to a nonprofit organization- the Madison Community Park, Inc- and was purchased back by Metro Nashville for $16,500 in 1988, in exchange for a promise to build a community center there. Today, it has 30 acres, and hosts a community center, a playground, public restrooms, picnic shelters, baseball fields, basketball courts, volleyball courts, tennis courts, paved walking/jogging paths, and a multipurpose field. It underwent a major renovation in 2019, and there are further renovation plans in the future, including a plan for a dog park. The renovations are gorgeous, with a royal blue and gold theming.

I fully expect this adjacent city to gain more and more popularity amongst folks looking for some real estate relief (and who want to stay in Davidson County). When that population boom happens, I think many of these folks will find good times to be had at Madison Park. Madison Park is deceptively large. I drove in to the park on Cumberland, thinking it to be a small, neighborhood green space. Not the case. Madison Park, despite being surrounded by apartments, homes and a highway, is a healthy park with a lot of attractive attributes. I'm curious to see what it's like in the spring/summer. Far from a thatch of grass, the park offers: basketball court, baseball diamonds, pavilions for lunching, tennis court, soccer field, volleyball court, a community center, a playground, and rolling hills with (Madison) city views and mature trees. I didn't expect any of this from what I saw on the back end. There are three entrances and plenty of parking. From the signage, there looks to be some construction/improvements on the way. I'm curious to see what that looks like. For nearby residents, the community center offers free child care with programming for the school year and summer. Obviously, Madison Park is a local resource and respite but I think its size and the many additions it offers allows it to be a destination park as well. If you haven't spend much time in Madison, you could do far worse than by starting here.

It's small, but for what they lack in volume, they certainly make up in friendliness. Free Wi-Fi for guests. Free computer access for guests, also. Stop in and say hi to these folks...and bring a camera.
