Great clams & muscles, glasses of delicious red and cold white wine served with pesto pasta along With an unbelievable tasty local fish of some kind, (which we could not pronounce). The local wine we sipped at our table on the tiny street, was better than what we had in some of the finest restaurants in Rome. Our desserts work extremely tasteful and the perfect end of the meal. Barbara and her father have the responsibility of this huge project in the town of Apella - the agriturismo which is another review and the restaurant is just the icing on the top! Everything we ordered guided by our waiter Simone, was to die for. Order the first and do not share it! They will explain what every item is and what it is made from locally. There are chestnut and olive groves so of course they make their own chestnut flour and bread. Since we stayed at the agriturismo we had breakfast daily and reservations nightly. I will miss my cappuccinos. Best kept secret in Tuscany for now. It's not easy to get to, the road is narrow, steep and dangerous especially when you come across another vehicle in the opposite direction. I close my eyes on the corners with no rails! ( I won't drive here) Reservations are an absolute must. They make so many wonderful products which are wonderful for gift giving. You come to Cinque Terre and you definitely want to combine some great food with some great views. Ristorante La Torre hits both of those at a price. I'd normally dock off some love but given I literally witnessed the effort to get supplies I'm not going to complain for a shortage of a dish. Fritto misto : great lightly fried batter on sardines, calamari, shrimp. Spaghetti alla Mari (seafood spaghetti): perfectly cooked pasta with generous amount of shrimp, langostino, calamari in a simple olive oil and garlic sauce. Tagliolino all' Aragostella (taglino with lobster): again perfect al dente pasta in a pomodoro sauce Pasta (forget which style substituted for said absent gnocchi) in pesto. Simple and comforting.
