This was my third stay at a Tru hotel. The other two had only been a year old, so there was a lower…read morelikelihood of running into issues. No stains, no critters, but no extra chair besides the one for the computer desk. Two complaints: first, the parking lot looked the same as the evening after pulling in from the snowstorm, and I left at 11:49 AM, so plenty of time to clean it or throw down some rock salt. Second, with the light post directly outside the window, the shades didn't do the job. I'm deaf, so light is the issue for me, not sound. Would I stay here again? Sure, but I'd bring some rock salt and a blindfold.

I stayed in town to visit some museums that were excellent by the way. I'm not particularly loyal…read moreto any hotel chain but for some reason all the hotels on my trip were Hilton hotels. The staff was very friendly and check in was easy. They do have a complementary hot breakfast which I didn't try. The hotel is modern looking with colorful decor aimed at the younger generation. The lobby has work stations, plenty of comfy seating areas, breakfast bar, complementary Coffey bar and even a pool table. My room was modern with fake wood floors, king bed, walk in shower, lighted mirror, flat screen tv, fridge, work station etc etc. Before I set my bags down I rip the bed apart to check for bed and no bed bugs. I noticed that the two Hilton hotels were very clean compared to other hotels in my past. I would definitely recommend the Hilton brand with the consistency of the two hotels.

Will never return. Online advertising lists WiFi, hot breakfast, indoor pool & hot tub, fitness &…read moreconference rooms, ect. We rented a room for 4 days/3 nights. At check-in, nothing was mentioned (online nor verbally) about limited amenities or staff... but within 24hrs we found there is such issues along with other ones. The ONLY worker we saw (did not matter what time of day/evening) was polite but did not always follow through or have answers. No one was ever at the reception counter. Instructions to page or call hotel number was provided but serious issues were later discovered. Pages were never answered. Calls were answered but once explaining what was needed did not always result in an actual solution or even seeing a worker, even if you were promised the issue would be resolved. WiFi password that was given did not work. Light bulb in lamp was blown & wasn't replaced even after being informed, major stains on room carpet & towels, scuffs in shower, out of order ice machine. CLOSED pool/hot tub, when asked worker said maintenance issue that would be fixed soon. When asked how soon (later today, tomorrow, this week, etc), answer was changed to 'NOT THAT SOON'. NO breakfast, when asked about it on first morning, limited cold items were offered but on all following mornings, requests were ignored. Side door was usually jammed, major muscle was needed to open & close it. And the last issue I'm mentioning... The other couple occupants that we spoke with were renting rooms for long time periods (over 3 months). Seriously... HOW are these businesses getting away with this crap. Since last year, 90% of companies are doing similar things (not just hotels). Limit services, products, & staff. Outright rude assistance/customer service. . BUT we still pay the outrageously high prices or consider this our 'NEW NORM.' BS‼

Most of the furnishings and décor were shabby and badly worn, and the pool was out of service. The free breakfast wasn't worth the price. The whole experience felt like a stay at an underfunded government institution, except you have to pay.

I stayed here the Saturday after Thanksgiving and was incredibly impressed. From the moment I…read morearrived until the moment I left, no detail was ignored. The first thing I appreciated was that the hotel has two screened in patios, one for smoking and one non smoking, separated by about fifteen feet. While I didn't use the patio this trip (it was pretty cold, and kind of windy/rainy), I really liked this detail. The lobby is gorgeous, full of warm colors and wood. It feels very classic and homey, more like an inn than a chain hotel. I checked in at almost midnight and was immediately greeted by a cheerful staff member whose name I can't remember, but she was great. The room was spacious and quiet, with a very responsive heater (thank goodness). The water pressure in the sink and shower were great. The breakfast was delicious and fairly comprehensive. There was fresh fruit, bagels, danish, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and a waffle iron. I was most impressed by the biscuits and gravy, because it was perfect. It's very easy to have bad biscuits and gravy, and the easiest way is to let them get lukewarm. I don't know if these were super fresh or just kept at a good temperature and stirred regularly, but they nailed it. Check out was just as quick as check in, and I was on the road three minutes after I left my room. I had a great stay here, and will definitely be back.

That said, this place isn't the type of property in which I would normally stay. The room carpet was dark and felt damp. I was afraid about bedbugs so I checked the sheets but they were clean and for the most part the bed was comfortable even if the pillows were a little lumpy. I like a cold room but the AC and the fan kept going off and the room didn't get cold enough for me. Even though I was on the first floor, it was fairly quiet. I passed on the shower. The toilet is super low to the ground! The breakfast was not great, but the sausage was passible and it was free. Luckily, the cost of the room was less than $100.
