I will say the food served its purpose, but the service was not the best. My server was rude, short-responsed, and made herself a plate of our purchased food prior to all my guests arriving. I issued my feedback to the sales manager after my event and never got a response. The lack of response after spending my money with Gallucci's is what led me to leave a review. Gallucci's Catered my best friends wedding at Rock Creek Gardens and they did an amazing job. I had been planning my MOH speach for an entire year and I had props that required filling with champagne and passed out at the right moment. They listened to my plan and were more than happy to help me pull of what is not "the best Maid of Honor speech of all time"! After a long day of running around for photos and getting ready, I got to sit down to their salmon and mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was the most amazing meal I have every had! Their service was exceptional and they had a huge team that covered every single moment of the night. I then got to work with them at a wedding in Tacoma and got to taste their food again just a few weeks later. I could not stop eating... The food was so good! Their team worked so hard to make sure our room flip was smooth and when there were spills, they helped get things cleaned up so fast. I had the pleasure of dining at their beautiful little office last month. It's a gorgeous old home and it was decorated for the fall holidays. The warmth of the sitting room with the elegant decorative touches immediately put me in the mood for some gourmet dining. I was promptly greeted by Polly who offered me a cranberry champagne cocktail, well I don't mind if I do! The tasting was presented well. Each dish came in lovely plates with garnish. The chef came out several times to check how things were going and to ensure me everything was gluten free. Overall I really enjoyed the food and wonderful conversation I shared with both Polly and the chef. The estimate was competitive and in accordance with other caterers in the area. We ultimately decided on a different caterer that was able to provide our gf cupcakes for our guests and therefore simplify our lives, but I was really impressed with this catering company and will definitely use them for future events. We used Gallucci's for our wedding in May and we ordered Prime Rib and what we got was definitely not Prime Rib. They kept telling us it was but majority of our guests even said that was no Prime Rib. The company said that because we asked to have it well done that how that would taste but the meat was extremely tough and definitely not prime rib. The other food we had was good. read more

Gallucci's just did our wedding on September 18th and it was picture perfect. Everyone is still talking about the food!. The prime rib was just right and the chicken marsala can't be beat. Kay even made sure that my husband and I sat down and had some food. The set up was amazing! They pulled everything together and it really set the right mood. Everyone knows that good food is one of the most important parts of the wedding, and finding Galluci's was an incredible blessing-- I am truly so grateful for them. They helped make my wedding day absolutely perfect. Adrielle was easy to communicate and work with-- she is professional, patient, and truly wants to give you the wedding of your dreams. I had some specific requests about timing of the cake cutting and food allergies among other things and Adrielle made them happen. I've worked with Gallucci's Catering since about 1997, as a wedding floral designer, and I've seen a dedicated, hardworking team, striving for excellence each and every time. This is the kind of consistency that it takes to be a top-tier caterer. Gallucci's has earned and maintained an excellent reputation in the South Sound, and I still gladly refer them and am happy to hear them mentioned when a bride meets me to discuss her flowers. The last event we worked together on was a New Year's Eve wedding, 12/31/11, and the bride's mother told me how everyone loved the food, and how guests kept saying it was a "Pinterest Wedding," because Gallucci's cared about all the little details. It was God's gift to us that we had such a bad experience early on with Brown's Catering that i started looking elsewhere! For my Aug 21, 2011 wedding all I cared about was photography and food. I had eaten their food from the Tacoma Glass Museum events and can not recommend Gallucci's enough! It was 85*, guests were melting, DJ didn't how up, our cake melted down the table and Ron and the staff rocked it to make sure we still had a great experience. Guests were coming up for thirds! The pasta is AMAZING, the chinese chicken salad is like no other and you know they are GREAT when the chef carved baron of beef EVERYONE thought was PRIME RIB!! We used Gallucci's Catering at our wedding in Seattle in June 2018. There were about 160 people in attendance. We were immensely happy with our choice--the food was delicious (several people commented) and the staff was courteous and professional. While we did have a day-of-coordinator to help, Gallucci's delivered on everything that we had asked for. Here's a list of the things we enjoyed about Gallucci's: --The value was exceptional. We felt that if we paid for labor, the staff should be able to help with anything reasonable throughout the night. Without extra cost, they poured champagne at the table, set up and cut desserts not purchased through them, setup chips and salsa that we brought, and provided guidance with the bar even though we purchased our own alcohol. --The staff was exceptional. Every time they walked past my wife and I, they asked if they could help with anything, including even reheating our meal when we were talking to guests. The bartender had no issue with using our provided recipes for drinks. --They accomplished some tricky asks. We did family-style service, and they delivered all of the special meals (veg, vegan, GF) to the correct tables. The service was very quick throughout the night, including the plated salad course and the room flip. They were able to add 20 extra chairs two days before the wedding when the venue lost several of theirs. Overall, we would most definitely use Gallucci's again and I'll be recommending them to friends in the future. Gallucci's Catering is absolutely amazing. They are professional, provide outstanding customer service, have delicious food and are overall great at what they do. We used them for our wedding this summer and could not be happier with their service. We live out of state in California, so Gallucci's worked with us to ensure that we had a great experience. They worked around our schedule during visits to Washington. Answered emails promptly with very little follow up and were approachable. Adrielle who we worked with could not have been better. She made the entire process easy from the quotes to the tasting to the rentals and the day-of. And the food was so good. Our tray-passed appetizers were the meat candy (favorite bite of the wedding!), aracini and spring rolls. All came out fresh and hot. They even made sure we got to taste it all. We opted for a less-than traditional wedding cake. It was made out of wheels of cheese. And the team absolutely crushed it. It was so pretty and completely gone by cocktail hour. We did a buffet with Teriyaki Chicken, Yakisoba Noodles, Beef Shortrib, Green Beans, Caesar and Mixed Greens Salad. The shortribs and noodles were the biggest hit. The chicken was a little dry, but the flavors were really good. I would definitely recommend using them to anyone for a wedding or event! And make sure to get the Shortrib! read more

I honestly don't understand how anyone could write a negative review about this place. We never dealt with anyone names Ron. We worked pretty much solely with Polly. She was 100% AMAZING. At times communication seemed a little lacking but when it came time to deliver, boy did they. They were there on time, they did EVERYTHING we asked of them and even more they didn't have to. All the employees, every single one, went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was special. But wait, what about the food. Here is what I'll say about the food, my dad hates everything and he actually said the food was GREAT. AMAZING!!! Seriously, the food was just awesome and so many of our guests told us that they loved the food. I also want to add a very important note to this story. I had actually started somewhere else. Then got nervous and came to Yelp to see what people said about it. To my surprise, the place we had intended using was getting just trashed BUT someone said in the comments that they came here and it was amazing. So I did just that. I pulled out from the other place and came here and it was the best decision I made. From the tasting to helping to load our car with the extra food and cake, they went well above what I would have ever expected them to do. 5 Stars doesn't begin to explain their level of service. 1st Promise. When I first met Ron on 11/18/2011 to discuss the food choices for my wedding in Summer 2012, he was the person who gave me an idea to select shark fin soup. I didn't even realize it was available until he told me about it. I told him that I would like shark fin soup since he mentioned it. He told me no problem and he could provide it. 1st Broken Promise. A month later on 12/18/11, I showed up to the tasting and he told me he couldn't provide shark fin soup without a clear reason. He didn't bother to contact me BEFORE THE TASTING to tell me this and he told me no shark fin soup AFTER I showed up to the tasting with my fiance and family. On 1/10/12, he explained his dislikes of the method in obtaining shark fins only AFTER I posted a Yelp review about his company. From 11/18/11 through 1/9/12, I didn't get this explanation from Ron and I didn't get any returned phone calls even though I had called him and left many messages. If he was so passionate about saving sharks, then why did he not communicate this to me before the tasting or anytime prior to 1/10/12? Pay attention to when he broke bad news to me. He said he has been in this business over 25 years. Professionalism. On 11/30/11, his staff Adrielle forwarded me Ron's email included Ron's admittance that his daughter wrote the ten-thousand dollar "proposal"/contract and it was her "first proposal". I thought it was no big deal since I helped my parents with chores all the times until I got his email on 1/10/12 and he said his daughter is nine years old. In addition to the broken promises, I believed a contract WRITTEN by a nine year old was unprofessional. First Email. Gallucci's sent me first email on 11/30/2011 with HIS mispellings, NOT MINE. I only removed the date and location. Dear Michelle, Attached is your proposal prepared by Skylar Gallucci. It outlines your spectacular wedding set for **** **** (date omitted) at *** ********** ******(location omitted). Please look it over and let us know what you think. And he made it sounded like a deal since he said his "process" and food that led up to the tasting costed him over $450 and he only charged me $322. Wow, good deal really? I don't think so! He also said in an email he sent half of my deposit on 1/2/12, I still haven't received it as of 1/10/12 at 4pm. How long would it take to mail a check from Tacoma to Seattle on 1/2/12? I sent wedding invitations to my relatives in SanJose, CA on 1/5/12 and they received it on 1/7/12. His staff said the reason was "we are very busy". They found time to cash my check, but too busy to drop a check in a mail box to refund me? I have an email that shows he said he sent it 1/2/12, but then I got another email on 1/8/12 from his staff Adrielle said that "we are very busy". 2nd Broken Promise. Here's my update on 1/10/12 at 5:49pm: I got a check from Gallucci's for $322.72 today at 4:25pm with a postmarked date from 1/9/12 in Tacoma. This was Ron's offer to refund me half of my deposit $645.45. I told him I wanted $495 and allowed him to keep $150 of MY MONEY. He still kept $322.72 and he justified this for his "process" and tasting, which he provided lobster bisque with few strings of lobster, curry tofu, pad thai, slices of lamb, fried rice, salad, chunks of beef, salmon, and linguini made with canned clams for seven people including myself. Keep in mind the food amount was small and it wasn't a big complete meal. I cook all the times and I empathize the expenses involved. Most catering companies offer free tasting or charge $50. I was more than generous by letting him keep $150. I wasn't asking for a free lunch. Also, Ron offered to pay for drink at Starbucks and parking at the tasting, but I declined each time. I'm reasonable when it comes to dealing with people and I expect the same. Pride. On 12/18/11, Ron emailed me, "Because if you don't like my food; I am sure you won't like any other caterers food that knows Thornewood as I do." Evidence. Used for a recent wedding reception. Food was OK. Service was really good. Actually warmed 2 plates of food for 2 guests that arrived late. These were special friends and this was awesome customer service. Real issue was when cleaning up at the end of the night and four of their workers were sitting on the loading dock and their loading ramp blocked our access to our vehicles to load up. I asked them if we could please get by and one said, "you'll have to wait". I was just about to go off on her when one of the four got up and moved the ramp. Took all of about 45 seconds. I try not to be negative, but this catering company has some of the worst food I've ever had in my life. First off, before the tasting, Ron, the owner, made all these promises regarding what could be provided for my wedding. Unfortunately, none of these panned out at the tasting. I commend him on his profuse talk and salesmanship, though his food cannot deliver. Because I am going to have a number of Asian guests at my wedding, we wanted some Asian cuisine. Ron suggested a shiitake soy sauce glazed salmon dish that ended up being more sauce than salmon. He talked up the pad Thai, but it was horrible! The noodles were overcooked to the point of being mush, the sauce was simply a bunch of Sriracha sauce, and there was so much fluid on the platter that it was a pool of soup on the plate. He stated that he could give us fried rice, but when he brought it out, it was mushy Rice a Roni with some peas and cut up pieces of Hot dog. After several tries of Asian food, my family and I gave up. I asked Ron, "What cuisine is your strength?" However, I could never get a straight answer out of him. He kept telling me that his chefs trained all over the area and could make exceptional cuisine, regardless of the type. Skeptical, and with his last name being Gallucci, I assumed that he would be able to make Italian food. Boy was I wrong! He made linguine and clams, and the linguine was undercooked, the clams were chewy to the point of rubber (no one knew it was a clam), and the dish had no seasoning. I have had better linguine and clams at a school cafeteria. If it wasn't bad enough that the food was terrible (and wasted an entire afternoon and embarrassed me to my family and in-laws) the guy has the nerve to charge $322 for the tasting! read more

Galluccis just catered my wedding this past Saturday and it was perfect!! My husband and I live in California and planning a wedding out of state can be tricky! Fortunately, Polly Buis from Galluccis was very flexible to meet with me whenever I was able to make it to Washington. When I was not in town, Polly was sure to answer any of the thousand questions I had via phone or email! Polly was extremely accommodating through out the whole wedding planning process. During the wedding, Galluccis staff made sure everyone was taken care of and the bridal party never had an empty drink! We also worked with Sheila Jensen, who was in charge of the decorations, and she was such a delight to work with! I had a vision in my head from the start for the aesthetic of the whole wedding and Sheila delivered!! The decor was exactly what I wanted and more! It was the most elegant, classic and just plain perfect room! I still can't stop thinking about how beautiful everything turned out! And last but not least, the food was incredible!! I can't tell you how many times guests came up to me and said, "This does not even taste like wedding food, it's some of the best food I've ever had!" So, hats off to you Galluccis! The pulled pork didn't have much flavor, the Mac and Cheese was dry and the corn on the cob was burnt. Not many smiles going on and the team seemed to be inexperienced when serving the hor d'oeuvres. After experiencing disappointment with our company's holiday party last year our guests were looking to be wowed this year. Our venue highly recommended Gallucci's so we decided to use their services to cater our holiday celebration this year. Going into planning with Polly we fully disclosed our issues with caterers in the past and the expectations we had for this year's celebration. We were assured time and time again by Polly that her staff would exceed our expectations. The day of our event came, and the staff were not prepared/coordinated, we were told the by the working staff that they had only worked one other event for Gallucci's. There seemed to be one issue after another. After addressing our concerns with Polly, there was no responsibility nor acknowledgement of the issues that occurred during our event. Unfortunately, our company and guests will not be utilizing nor recommending Gallucci's for catering services. read more

The owner of our venue highly recommended Gallucci's to us, as they had done both her sons' weddings. We couldn't have been happier. We got SO many compliments about how wonderful the food was and that it was the best wedding food anyone had experienced. Gallucci's was more than happy to set up a second tasting once we changed our menu after the first tasting. They even adapted a family recipe to be used on our wedding day to make it more personal. I can't say enough great things about the quality of food and presentation that they had on my wedding day, they definitely contributed to making my wedding day everything I had imagined. If I only had one negative it's that their contracts are really confusing, they break the contract into two pieces and list total amounts at the end of each, so you aren't really sure what your Grand Total is because both parts list "totals", but in the end about 2 weeks before my wedding I had a conference call with my lead and we went line by line and adjusted prices based on our final head count. But again, we still get compliments on the food, quality and presentation. read more
