Unprofessional rude greedy and lazy in a nutshell. -does not deliver -always trys to make more $$$ from selling Invisalign to saying to get oral surgery when his false promises don't workout years later. -Extremely nosy (try's to figure out your personal life and judge your worth as a teenager) Thinks he is the best around when reality and results prove otherwise. Ricupito is one of the most expensive orthos in the Bay, and for the cost does not yield much results for what his mouth suggests. Have to say, he is the worst and unprofessional ortho dentist we hv encountered. We came here with high hopes to fix my kid's crooked teeth. We ended up with incomplete work and lots of lies in between, 2 years later. Even the kid was disappointed at the outcome not to mention the parent. However, the dentist and staffs insist they looked great. He even blamed that we didn't want any tooth removal hence the outcome. What a lie since that was never the case! We ended up looking for another ortho and paid out of pocket since insurance limit has used up. Now she has perfect smiLe without any tooth removal, and what can't be fixed by this dentist was done by another more competent dentist. Dont come here if you want a competent and honest ortho! This review has been long overdue and had wanted to file a report with the bbb too! I just want to aLert others who are shopping for a good ortho. read more

I feel thankful for Dr. Ricupito and wanted to take the time to write a review. He was clearly recommended by my dentist and by adults and children I knew, so I chose him several years ago when I needed orthodontics to realign my teeth that were shifting with age. During my two-year experience, I found Dr. Ricupito to be very intelligent, thorough, insightful, and kind. His patients are from many different races, and above all, he cares and he did an excellent job restoring my teeth. So, three weeks ago, when my black lab puppy chewed through my box, and ate my retainers, I called Dr Ricupito. I truly appreciate the fact that I can depend on Dr. R and his staff to provide a bright, clean, and efficient office. Also when I have needed extra care and time, they have always been there to provide the help I need - and I am not always the easiest patient! They have even understood when I got delayed or needed to change a time! Also, over the years, from listening to Dr. Ricupito, and sharing and asking questions, I have learned how compassionate and deeply committed he is to his patients, his staff, and his community. He grew up in the area where he works, and he gives back to his community by truly bring there to sponsor school and sports teams and to provide counseling and care for others. First of all if you want to know how this Dr really is check the reviews under Mission Hills Orthodontist as this was the name he used to go under and before that was just Dr Ricupito. That should tell you something if he's constantly changing the name of his company.... Something must be wrong. My daughter went to Dr Ricupito to get braces put on which was done and I admit I thought the service was great as it was quick and fast. But now that I think about it it was like trying to get in as many patients as possible in one amount of time. Each time my daughter was seen by yet nurses or assistants longer than she was seen by Dr Ricupito. He also put braces on her and her baby teeth weren't all out yet so they ended up coming out on top from her gums! I ended up taking her to another place to get the braces removed and her teeth pulled to allow for the teeth that we're coming out of her gums to come down where they belong, the new ortho was surprised that he put braces on when all her permanent teeth hadn't come in yet. I would say get a second opinion before coming here or don't come here at all. He also said she needed to have major surgery to have her jaw realigned which our new ortho said it wasn't necessary and that head gear or time will tell but definitely no surgery needed to realign her jaw!! read more
