Imagine overly salted food that is allowed to sit and "age" under a heat lamp all day....never replenished or refreshed.

Looks pretty fresh and tasty to me

In highschool I learned to scuba dive and immediately began searching for any body of water deep enough to submerge. After highschool I wanted nothing to do with college but,I'd promised my grandmother. The only thing that truly interested me was the ocean. So after much research on schools offering such courses of study,I landed on Texas A&M Moody College of Marine Science. I didn't even visit. Just applied, was accepted and moved to Galveston. It's still a small campus but power packed. The hard earned reputation of being an excellent university extends to this campus located on an island adjacent to Galveston proper. I could not have asked for a better learning experience or environment to learn in. My physics professor went on to become President of The entire Texas A&M system if this gives an idea of the quality there . Fantastic School Note: Maria W. Gave a highly critical and unwarranted First review, based on many assumptions and her own imagined bias. I have ask the Yelp Powers that be to remove this as it's not in the Yelp spirit. * I just received an email Yelp decided not to remove this shitty review?

If you're an Aggie freak and want a more personal campus than the main location in College Station,…read morecome here. But the catch is, since it's located on its own island, all of the majors are centered around guess what marine life. How nice is that? So if you plan on becoming a doctor or anything in the medical field, you'll need to major in marine biology or sciences. If your interested in engineering, they have marine engineering. And the list goes on... The school caters most to freshmen as you can as if you were a transfer student, you could only transfer in 24 credits and most of them have to be liberal arts, no sciences. Yippee!! Also, the campus is dull, tiny, and looks and feels raggedy. I'm sure Raggedy Ann and Andy would love to call this their new home. No greenery, scenery, or beautiful art nor architecture. Just construction and Galveston beach. This university is home to more male residents than females. The same traditions they hold high at TA&M main is the exact same as this location and they claim the Corpus Christi, Commerce, West Texas, Kingsville, Prairie View, Tarleton, Central Texas, and etc isn't the same. Even the games, all that the same. Well, maybe not you may get more diversity in the student body than at the main campus. The campus tour was average Abe, I wouldn't wanna tour it anymore. As the building looked dull and lifeless. With tuition being so high, the least they can do is make the campus look more attractive. Even the visitor centre looked and felt dirty, old, and antiquity. Our tour guide was average, even though he was a senior he acted as if he didn't know much about the campus. Lots of uhs and asked a question. Oh yeah, this is strictly a dry campus. No one can have alcohol, not even if you are above the drinking age and not freshmen. I'm so glad I'm not into living the Aggie's dream in order survive on this earth.

Went in for a simple heel spur surgery on November 14, 2025 and it's now May and the surgeon Dr. Punchbhavi screwed up and I've been laying in my bed for 7 months in constant enormous pain and the foot is still numb and all kinds of nerve damage and they refuse to do anything as my body is just withering away. My health is deteriorating and I have zero life and they refuse to help with the pain but yet patient advocate and the medical staff is worried about me using cuss words after 7 months of constant pain rather than getting me healthy and fixing their mistakes. Dr. Punchbhavi tried to amputate my neighbors toe also and he saw another Doctor and with some physical therapy, my neighbor is just fine and didn't lose his toe. Very poor ethics, if they have any at all. If this is what they teach their students is neglect, we are going to have some terrible doctors and nurses. If you can avoid this hospital, by all means do so. Nobody has returned my calls or messages or even attempted to fix me. I should've never went to them. I was active until I went to UTMB, now I'm bed ridden and can't do a single thing. Some times I can't even make it to the bathroom.

Their motto every morning but be, "The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing." and it has been for years. The front desk/advising is completely unaware of the program directors/staff is doing. Poor comunication, website, and organization overall across the school and its programs. If getting started on a path wasn't hard enough, don't count on getting into the nursing program here either, even if you're already a student. The nursing program is understaffed, and the entry-rate is pitiful for how much funding went into this school and the tuition students pay. But, yay! There's a new advising building that isn't even labeled! It is a horrible shame what this school does to people. PLEASE don't waste your money here. Maybe you'll get lucky and get accepted into one of their programs, but definitely apply to multiple schools if you can, because they are in a prime location, with little to offer as far as a accessible successful career-building tools. If you are a good student or professor/teacher, please just come to Galveston College. They are so much more organized, and they actually care about their students.
