We were celebrating family birthdays with a group spanning ages 9 to 80+, and Game Show Battle Room was exactly what we needed. We were looking for something inclusive that every single person could enjoy no matter their age or energy level, and this hit the mark perfectly. We played the Classic Showdown, and it did not disappoint. Devin (our host) and Kayla (our producer) made the whole experience unforgettable. They gave us an opportunity to create our "on air" names and team names; and kept the energy high from start to finish. The competition got surprisingly fierce in the best way, and everyone from the youngest to the oldest in our group was laughing and fully engaged the entire time! If you're looking for something fun and inclusive for a family gathering, birthday party, or group of friends with a wide age range, this is it. 10/10 would recommend. Came for an event and had such a wonderful time with the group! We were split into two teams and taken into a separate game room. The experience was set up like a TV game show, which I absolutely loved -- especially the trivia portion. The second half added a fun twist with games inspired by classic "drinking game" style activities (think cornhole, flip cup, etc.). They were definitely entertaining! Not exactly my strong suit -- I'm terrible at those -- but I probably should've had my college kids give me a refresher beforehand! Overall, it was such a fun and interactive experience. I'm already thinking about convincing my team at work to come here for a team-building event! read more

We went to Game Show Battle Rooms - Austin at The Domain during a friends birthday + my wedding weekend with our whole family and I genuinely did not expect it to be THAT fun. Like... we were screaming. Full competitive mode. Zero chill. Peyton was the best host, so funny and kept the energy up the entire time. Julian was running everything behind the scenes and it all felt super smooth and legit, like we were actually on a game show. It ended up being the perfect way to get both sides of the family laughing and bonding before the wedding. Easily one of the highlights of the weekend. 10/10 would do this again. read more

We participated in a Game Show event this past Sunday and had a great time! I'm terrible with names otherwise I'd drop the names of the hostess and the game runner into this review but whomever was working on Sunday August 16th at 2 pm, you fricking ROCK! Made the birthday girl's day to have such a fun event to go to! Games weren't too hard for everyone to play and weren't too physically challenging. read more

An absolutely, ridiculously good time. We came here with a party of 13 to celebrate one of our birthdays and whatever we were expecting was exceeded tenfold. Parking is close by with the orange garage just a bit down the street and the inside of this place feels like you really are about to go into a game show. They sell drinks out front and gave us one free one for the birthday and two more drink credits since we had 2 people unable to show so they put the amounts on a gift card. The hype begins outside when they split you up into teams and you choose your team name and game show names. They then usher you into your rooms where the fun begins. We chose the classic game show package and it was a lot of fun. Despite a party size of 13 people it felt like everyone really got into it and had a chance to participate. We won't go too much into what happens so as not to spoil it, but the energy from your teams, the lights and setting (which really do feel real), and the AMAZING host we had really made this such an unforgettable experience. This is one of the most fun things we've ever done in Austin and we think everyone should do it at least once! read more

So fun! So we have done Game On ATX 3 times in the last 5 years so when we saw a new Game Show place was coming to Austin of course we were excited. We also love the Escape Game franchise, so when we heard it was the same company of course we were in. Honestly super fun but have to say I'm disappointed. So the money spent on Escape Game is massive, of all escape companies they don't cheap out at all, they have the best rooms with all the bells and whistles so I expected the same for Game Show. Not the case, no buzzers, no fancy wheels, so many places they missed the mark. Grace and Joey were our game show peeps and they personally were incredible! Location fantastic! Fun, so fun! But unless you have a crowd that Game On can't handle I would 100% recommend Game On ATX over Game Show. I do see that Game Show can accommodate huge parties though so that's a huge advantage and the location is an advantage. Other wise almost identical experiences without all the extras that make it feel more like a real game show. Overall experience was great, place is clean, they are super inviting, they sell beer/wine there. We would go back if invited though for sure. read more

I was really excited to do this for my birthday. Due to a series of things, I was late for my appointment time. ( after doing everything I could to keep us on time, but you know how people are. *eyeroll*). On top of that unexpected traffic was the final boss and really did make us late. When we got there, the staff expressed how much of an inconvenience being late was. However, they allowed us to have the experience and continue with the remaining time in our time slot. When you walk in there are small tables in the waiting area. And you can buy drinks. We didn't have time to browse though. Once we started it was a lot of fun. The hosts were great. We had great energy and the games were a lot of fun. They offer prime time and classic shows. We did the Classic game show experience. There weee simulations to Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune, and the Price Is Right. I can't believe how bad I was at guessing prices of how much things cost. The stage set up, the props, and the sequence of how the games were run was great. Everyone had a great time. The only part that really put a damper on my experience was a discrepancy with billing. When I was at the counter I asked if a certain adjustment could be made. I was told yes, and the adjustment was made. A week later, I received a receipt showing the adjustment reversed. I inquired about what happened and ultimately was told that the adjustment would not be made. Had this been disclosed at the time of me asking and talking about it, everything would have been fine. I just don't like the way the issue was handled after the fact, and the process of dealing with customer service and management. read more

This place just opened a month ago. I went as part of a team bonding activity and we had so much fun! Lala and Joey were great because they were engaging, funny and helped us enjoy ourselves. We chose classic and so we played shows similar to wheel of fortune, guess the price and family feud. They divide up the teams, give you time to come up with a fun team name and your own name. My favorite was the last game called the drop, but I really liked the feeling of being in these classic games since I grew up watching them on TV. They sell drinks, have clean bathrooms and even a meeting space. It's about 1.5 hours and it goes by so fast. read more

Overall, I attended this event to make new friends and create something nice for my dog. I accomplished both so that was a win! While I most likely won't come back, this business is a fun concept that is great for groups of young children and I even saw a mother bring in her young daughter with her to glaze pottery together which was so sweet but the pricing and timing to pick up your artwork could be clearer. Also parking is very limited so park next door at the gymnasium.

The pool stays between 68°-70°, which is a temperature not too cold on impact, but still super relaxing to hang in. The pool is massive with plenty of people hanging around in all corners. It's a great spot in summer but definitely not a hidden gem. It's an extremely well-known gem. I'm curious how populous it is during peak times, but that random Wednesday afternoon was perfect. The game show experience was super fun and engaging for the 17 year old kids as well as their parents. The whole group had a blast! The only frustrating thing was how long it took them to get our game show experience started. It's expensive for 2 hours and we played for less than 90 minutes. Some of their start up logistics could be better as to maximize game time. Due to the time crunch, not everyone in our group got to play the plinko game which everyone wanted to play. Fix that and it's a five star experience!

It's important to fill out the screening questions because they do a good job of tailoring the questions/answers to what you fill out. Best of all? It's BYOB!

The party was for elementary aged kiddos but middle school kids and even parents got in on the games. It was super easy to book online and the team emailed me to confirm the same evening I booked. The staff member was professional, friendly, responsive and helped me pick the location to host. When he arrived he set it quickly and gave great instructions. He kept the attention of kids (as young as 5) and full grown adults for the full game. The set up and equipment is impressive and it was by far the best and easiest birthday party we've thrown for our kiddo! We have already booked again for an upcoming block party.

On the day of the event, I didn't really know what to expect. Mitch was on time, walked us through how the event would go, and started setting stuff up. He was great with our large group of 10-year-old girls and had them running missions in no time. The kids did not stop sprinting and laughing for the solid 2 hours. I highly recommend Run N' Gun for a kid's party or even a team-building event. Bonus, he sends you a highlight reel after the event so you can share it with friends and family. Thanks!!

Celtic Axe Throwing - Austin is a separate business but housed in the Brewtorium. Yes, throw axes!!! It appears to be thing. While I waited, I thought you have never thrown axes on a board. Let's do this darn thang! Have I thrown darts? Yes! Have I shot arrows at a bulls eye? Yep! Have I gone skeet shooting? You betcha! Why not throw axes to add it to my games with a little danger? What is the worst that could happen? Loose a finger or toe...perhaps get knocked in the head from a poor throw? Well none of these thoughts scared me. I did have to sign a waiver disclaimer. This is what should have sent me sprinting out of the building. You always have to face your fear. I did it with no lost body parts...not even a scratch. It was a ton of fun. Highly recommend it, but do be careful.

On the day we went it was incredibly hot (98 degrees F), so we took a couple of water breaks and then played other games like jousting. Great experience, just bring enough water.

If you're down to get a bit silly in public and solve riddles while exploring the area, this is for you. Bring water, a hat, and good walking shoes - it can take up to 2 hours but is very fun with a group of 4. Also, make sure someone has strong internet connection - it is necessary for some of the clues. You only walk 2-3 blocks one way and there's plenty of places with shade and tables to rest in between, so it is very doable for anyone of any fitness level and the puzzles are accessible to all. Plus, Mission Control is responsive for when you're stuck and meets you in person throughout the experience! Very fun! And lucky for us, it was a cool-ish summer day, so not horrible for walking around. Become a master of time travel!

I was tasked to plan a fun team building activity for some out of town quests. So I thought this would be great as the weather here in Austin was cooling down to get outside of the box. As we know when it's hot here, it's super hot and that's just no fun at all. There were 12 of us, and we broke up into two groups and were each given a suitcase that we were tasked to do different adventures in East Austin. We were greeted by our tour guide, who gave us everything that we needed to make sure that we had an incredible afternoon. And we did. I could not recommend this more if you've got five or more people coming in I wanted to go out and have some fun in Austin. You'll make lots of memories have lots of laughs and see lots of things you may not have seen before. So don't be afraid that people are gonna be bored, because they won't. Lots of great memories :) thank you One more thing. You'll want to wear some shoes that are comfortable. As you will be doing some walking. Also - choose your end spot - the restaurant we had was not my favorite.
